Grant and Tyler are awesome!! They actually listen to what you want, but are also great at making recommendations. They have a very well-rounded contractor team that can do everything. They can handle the boring stuff (fixing HVAC, sealing siding cracks, or replacing toilets) to the exciting home upgrades (installing wallpaper *seamlessly*, painting inside and out, refinishing floors, replacing fireplace tile, and building a screened in porch). For anything that requires a third party contractor (ex: countertop installation), they know where to go. They transformed our home and made it like-new. They are also responsive and quick! Highly recommend!

Tyler at Purpose Contracting Group and his crew were a pleasure to coordinate with. Purpose covered my bar area with board and batten and it looks amazing!! Tyler was always easy to reach and quick to respond. He came over a couple of times to check on the progress and quality of work that his crew was doing. It is so hard to find a trustworthy contractor who does excellent work. His crew did a great job working with me to make sure everything was to my specifications and in protecting my floors and cleaning up at the end of the day.

I bought my house on March 30, 2025. I contacted Purpose Contracting Group about getting an estimate for doing the interior and exterior remodeling for me. A week later I met with Tyler, one of the owners. I had a vision in my head of what I wanted my house to look like. I explained that vision to Tyler and he said he could make it happen. It was quite a big project. His crew started the work on my house on April 28th. Seven and 1/2 weeks later they finished up. Tyler and his crew took that vision from my head and they brought it to life, perfectly!!! I could not be more happy with the results. The whole project was handled very professionally. Tyler was great about keeping me informed of everything that was going on along the way. I would highly recommend them for any and all of your remodeling projects!! This company is an exceptional company! Tyler is fantastic and so is his team! Purpose contracting Group completed an attic project for us. They remodeled the attic with drywall, paint , flooring and made it look like a gorgeous room! The team was easy to have in our house, always respectful, and protected all of our floors so that nothing would be disrupted. Tyler regularly came to check on the project, Communicate to his team what else he wanted to have done Or just check on the progress. You can also tell that the team respects him greatly. They were on time every day. Tyler also checked in with us to make sure that we were comfortable and happy throughout the project . PCG recently completed a porch remodel for my mom, converting her screened porch into a sunroom and adding a new deck just outside. They also completed two tile jobs inside the home. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Tyler kept us informed every step of the way, and either he or one of his construction managers was on-site every day to oversee the crews. The crew was also conscientious about keeping up the work areas clean at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. The attention to detail and level of communication throughout the project gave us complete confidence in the process, and the final results exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled with the transformation and would not hesitate to work with PCG again on future projects. Highly recommended!

We used Purpose Contracting to renovate two bathrooms in our townhome. From the start, Tyler was extremely communicative and answered any questions we had. The team was respectful of our home and worked long hours to make sure the project was completed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, we ultimately ran into unforeseen issues. However, this was when Tyler’s character shined. He responded right away, helped us fix the problem immediately, and charged a fair price for the issues that were out of his control. If you’re looking for a fair and responsive contractor, this is the company to use! We are very happy with the work that was done and plan to use Purpose again in the future. 10/10 experience.

Tyler and his crew did a wonderful job remodeling our master bathroom. He is professional, personable, and very involved in the process. We received a fair estimate, and the timeline for the project was almost spot-on, even despite the recent winter storms. I appreciated Tyler’s excellent communication, which kept me well-informed of the progress and what to expect each day. If something didn’t look quite right, Tyler made sure it was fixed promptly. His crew were careful and respectful of our house and belongings, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Purpose Contracting Group. Truly 5 stars.

TL;DR
Project estimated at 4-6 months, took 10 months to complete. We experienced repeated quality issues (still discovering more), inconsistent follow-through, and an unprofessional final interaction. We would not recommend.

UPDATE: After just 3 months, both a new air conditioner and a 2 year old unit Authentic Construction relocated FAILED. Multiple third party experts determined extreme incompetence in the install and relocation, with a 6 inch opening blowing into attic, exposed wiring, and lack of a pan safety switch and valve caps in new unit. The 2 year old unit they moved had a bend in the freon line. The compressor then blew up leaking freon and we were forced to evacuate the house. (See photos.) We had to spend many thousands fixing their errors, with more likely to come. Please, avoid this company at all cost.

Edit: after a month, we’ve discovered many more issues. The insulation is falling out of the floors on all new areas of the house. Bathroom caulk has failed.

Our experience
We recently completed a renovation of our single-story 1950s ranch with Authentic Construction. We didn’t initially plan to leave a negative review, but our overall experience, particularly the way it ended, compels us to share it.

Timeline
The project was initially estimated at 4–6 months and ultimately took 10 months. While there was an early 1–2 month delay due to the gas company, the project extended well beyond that. The prolonged construction was especially difficult as it overlapped with my wife’s third trimester, and work was still ongoing when we brought our newborn home. The move-in date was set and then pushed back 4 separate times.

Quality Issues
Throughout the project, we encountered both major and minor workmanship issues. There are too many to mention, but I've highlighted a few below (including photos):
- The back half of the home remained exposed to the elements for roughly two months without proper tarping, with standing water on hardwood floors for weeks.
- The newly installed HVAC system is too powerful for the new addition, which resulted in pressurized doors not closing properly and a wind-tunnel sound on the lowest setting. We have to bring in another HVAC professional.
- Multiple framing corrections were required.
- Numerous smaller problems added up. For example, in one 24-hour period, two ceiling vents fell out, a bathroom mirror detached from the wall, and a closet shelf pulled out when first used due to improper anchoring.
- Even after completion, we’ve continued to find items that were missed, including reversed shower controls, missing insulation on the attic door, improperly sized crawl space vents, and another ceiling vent that later fell.

Communication & Process
We had many productive in-person conversations, and we approached every issue with kindness and professionalism. However, commitments were often made verbally and not followed through without repeated reminders. It frequently felt like we were responsible for tracking open items rather than having a structured quality control process in place.

We understand that construction projects require back-and-forth and adjustments. Our concerns were not about isolated mistakes, but about the volume of recurring issues and the need to repeatedly flag them ourselves, often after weeks or months.

Final Interaction
At the end of the project, when we expressed disappointment about the number of quality concerns, the conversation escalated in an unprofessional manner. The owner was cursing and even directly insulted our character. Disagreements can happen, but respectful communication should remain a baseline.

Overall
We like the final design and layout of our home, and we do appreciate the vision and flow they helped create while maintaining the character of our ranch. However, based on our experience with delays, quality control, and communication — particularly the way concerns were handled at the end — we cannot recommend them.

We had hoped for a different experience and wanted to share ours so future clients can make an informed decision.
