Constraction reviews in Raleigh, North Carolina

Rodas Constructions renewed my roof 2 years ago, and when I noticed an issue with the work done. Rodas stood behind their workmanship and work diligently to resolve the issue fully and satisfactory.
While the work was being scheduled and completed, the office personnel made sure every work was scheduled at my convenience while the field manager kept me informed of everything. They really showed me how much they care about their customers and how much they stand behind the warranty they provide.
I will recommend this company because their customer service is second to none. -
(I never rate anyone 5stars!)
We had a mansard roof on a home built in 1973. It needed replacement, then a heavy tree branch dropped and cracked it. Most companies we tried would not touch this roof style. Rodas didn't hesitate. Chris not only gave a reasonable quote on short notice, he showed up within 24 hours to temporarily rubber tarp the holes. The main sections of roof were finished in 2 days. But I wasn't happy with the front, hand-cut work which took two days more. Chris was there within 24 hours to see, and was very upset with the work. He was back next day and redid the problem angles himself. Perfect job! Perfect!
I changed the shingles from dull brown to dark charcoal, not quite black shingles, to make the red brick pop - it worked. All the neighbors stopped by complimenting the job! An appraiser said the new roof completely changed the overall look of the house from run-down, dull drab to a smart, sharp-looking classic home. She estimated the roof added more than 4 times what it cost to the home valuation. We decided to sell and retire down towards the coast. All the brokers commented about the great looking roof and how it had attracted their clients eye in the photos. Rodas did an awesome job. Best "investment" I've ever made! I'd use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you Rodas! -
I had Rodas replaced my entire house roof in Cary. Unfortunately the workers knocked a big hole in my gazebo roof. I requested the comopany to repare or replace teh gazebo before I could pay the cost for roof installation. However, the company manager urge me to pay him in full amount before they repair my gazebo, or they will have a lawyer to sue me. Not a customer friendly company at all!
Just gotten a threat from the company manager Steve " are you familiar with a lien? I will put a construction lien lien on your residence and foreclose on your residence if you do not pay me in full by tomorrow 3/20/2019. we are looking to repair anything that was our responsibility but you cann't hold my money for roof."
How scary it is ! -
I recently had the pleasure of working with Rodas Construction and their team, specifically Chris, on a new roof project for my home. From the beginning, Chris was incredibly helpful and professional, answering all of my questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
The actual roof installation process went smoothly and efficiently, with the team completing the project in the agreed upon timeframe. The finished product looks fantastic and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work.
But what really sets Rodas Construction apart is the exceptional customer service provided by Chris. He was always available to address any questions or concerns we had, and went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with the project.
Overall, I highly recommend Rodas Construction for any roofing needs. The team's attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart. Chris, in particular, was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process a breeze. Thank you, Rodas Construction and Chris, for a job greatly done!! -
Outstanding carring company. Lorissa is likely the nicest person I’ve met. They are obsessed with helping homeowners.

Rodas Construction might just be one of the best companies we’ve ever worked with. Since my husband and I are both in the home improvement industry, we are very particular about home projects and Rodas by far exceeded every expectation we had. We originally met with John (who is wonderful to work with) for our roof and we were so pleased we decided to finally take the next step in having our house repainted and our front staircase rebuilt. Salvatore and his crew had the utmost respectful of our home, came every single day (weekends too) until the job was done, had such attention to detail and overall were a joy to have around our home. John also stayed in constant contact with us, kept us in the loop as far as progress made and what to expect next and always advised on what was best for us as homeowners instead of selling us on what worked best for him. The company as a whole just does right by people. After seeing firsthand how other construction companies out there operate (because we did vet several), Rodas Construction truly is a 5 stay company that gives a 5 star experience to homeowners. The biggest thank you to JOHN and SALVATORE for making a big home project truly enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

I worked with Rodas Construction for my new roof, and it was such a smooth experience! After calling the office, John was able to quickly come out to assess the damage and provide a rough estimate on site, helped me to submit a claim with my insurance company and met with my adjuster. We were able to get the work quickly scheduled - Rafael and his team did great work on my roof & and Salvador, the painter, came the next day to fix the water stains in my master bedroom ceiling and did a wonderful paint job. Highly recommend!

They did an exceptional job in replacing our home’s roof for us asap as a big tree did serious damage to it from a storm. They are so very professional & very easy to work with & we highly recommend them. You will be very happy when you call them as they are so very dependable & trustworthy in every way!

Installed my roof for 4 years, a few shingle pieces were off; called the office, they told me the installation warranty is 2 years which is OK. The problem is that other contractors came and identified that they didn't do the roof starting on the edge correctly, that's worrisome! I will NOT recommend them.

We recently had a screened in porch converted to a year round glassed-in room. The Rodas team was very professional and quite thorough--they had two sets of engineers sign off on the project. Throughout the construction the CEO, Enrique Rodas, routinely visited the job site to check on the quality of the work. We are very pleased with the result and can recommend this firm without reservation.

Sometimes it is truly amazing when you find a construction group that is honest and trustworthy from the beginning. We had some water marks on the ceiling and needed a few minor roof repairs, and not only did Ari and John come out within days to give us a competitive estimate, but the roofing work was professionally completed within the next week and they did an excellent job. The interior repainting was also one of the most efficient and cleanest painting jobs we’ve seen as well. Overall we had an excellent experience with the Rodas team and will certainly use them for any future projects! Thank you!

I cannot say enough about Rodas Roof Construction LLC. They are efficient, respectful, and very knowledgeable and they even each have a specific job and performs each and every one to perfection. I am very pleased with my new roof. I highly recommend this company ... I'm sure you will also be pleased!

After much research to find a contractor to replace a second story deck and add a screened in porch - we learned of Rodas Construction through a personal reference which was excellent - and very well deserved. We very highly recommend for excellent service, attention to detail, quality - and all at a very competitive price. The entire staff from the office to those on the job site were terrific to work with. Promptly responsive - knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Steve - and Enrique as Project Manager were particularly attentive to ensuring quality workmanship. A pleasure to work with the entire Rodas Team!

The Rodas associate and field crew were all respectful and knowledgeable. They were quick getting my new roof on and very clean at my property. I highly recommend Rodas construction for your roof needs!

I recently had work completed with Rodas, and it was a good experience. They did my roof ( Rafael), new gutters (Moises) and new vent covers/pressure washed (Salvador) the house They were quick to provide an estimate (John) and comparably priced. They were able to get me scheduled within a week and the crews cleaned up well.

I used Rodas Construction LLC to replace my roof that was damaged by storm and rain.
The Rodas team was very knowledgeable and helped me through get thru the process of choosing a new roof and provided pictures of the damage for insurance purposes.
It was a pleasure to work with them. I recommend this team for your roofing needs. -
Loved working with Rodas Construction on our bath renovation. They were great to work with and we love how everything turned out! Can’t wait to work with them on future projects!
-
The roof was done very fast but after 4 years shingles started to shed in all directions. Not to mention all the random nails sticking out everywhere in my attic. Rodas stands behind their work for only two years so, I was told it would be $400 to look at the issue.
I’m not a roofer but, if you spend nearly 13k you would think the work would last longer than 4 years. I won’t be spending any more money with Rodas that’s for sure!!
I don’t recommend Rodas. -
We highly recommend Rodas construction for your next project. Enrique, Steve, Larissa, Mike and Janice and the workers who came to the house were all professional and a pleasure to work with. To the team… Thank you all for transforming our attic into a beautiful and functional space. We appreciated your attention to detail. This project was completed timely and this addition was a positive experience . Everyone was good with cleaning up at the end of the day which is a positive for us and communication was never an issue. Someone was always available and responsive to questions.

Enrique and his crews did an outstanding job during our renovation of our screened in porch into a 4 season room for our house. They obtained all the necessary permits, took down the previous decking materials, ordered and put in windows, exterior door, outside siding to match our existing siding, added HVAC and electrical to this room, put in new hard wood floors and stained them to match other floors in our house, and also painted new room inside and out. Erique and all of his crews were all the best that you would want to work with you on any project. They were all very helpful, timely, neat. Their work exceeded my expectations on this project.

I hired Rodas Construction this summer to do a shingle tear-off with a new Grey metal roof in Wake County. The completed product was great, but I had a large amount of issues along the way. Because many roofing companies do not have a metal crew, my crew came out of Wilmington (Note: roofing companies sub-contract out their work, so the crew who did the installation are not Rodas Construction employees):
The Good:
The finished product was great. The crew out of Wilmington was professional, timely, hard working, etc... They cleaned up the grounds every day, took care to make sure I was satisfied, and always asked if I had any questions. My father was present during the installation (he owned a roofing company in FL for 35 years), and they took no issues with him reviewing their install. The completed product was great:
The Bad:
Original deposit (30%) was provided in June 15th to Rodas. I heard nothing in between the first and second deposit provided in August 7th (next 30%). The time is not uncommon as I got speciality metal, but I was left in the dark for 6 weeks without knowing a project schedule, etc...
During the sales pitch, I was promised a new exhaust boot with a 50 year warranty! I found out during construction those boots cannot be installed on metal (shingle only) which the Salesman had no clue of.
Material was delivered and Construction started September 5th. I paid extra for Stainless steel screws (standard on a metal roof is Zinc Screws), and peel and stick weathershield (thick sticky tar paper) to be placed on the Entire roof. Most roofers install it on valleys and ridges only. Rodas ordered the cheaper tar paper and Zinc screws and tried to slide it past me. I caught them, and made them order the correct material.
The salesman never did a formal dimensional takeoff of my roof. 4 days into construction, we were 3 panels short to complete the job (see picture). This was 7 days before the hurricane, and was told by the salesman the roof is dried in, and we'll try to come back before the storm. The owner got involved, and expedited the material to complete the following week.
My roof is a striated dark grey metal (striated has waves in the metal). Flat black metal was ordered. A different crew came back the day before the hurricane and installed the flat black metal (on a grey roof) to dry the roof in before the hurricane so my house wouldn't flood during the storm.
2 weeks passed, and I did not hear a word from Rodas. I called the salesman with no response. They sent 1 member of the crew to my house from Wilmington without telling me on Saturday morning. I was not notified, I was out of the state, AND the correct material was never delivered. There was no metal to even install. At this point I've had black metal on my roof for 3 weeks.
2 more weeks passed: The salesman ordered more metal (flat grey), and was wrong again. 2 more weeks passed and I had the incorrect grey panels sitting in my front yard. Finally, I called the owner and got him involved. I offered to call the supply house and order the correct material personally. He came to my house, got the crew set up, the correct panels ordered, and completed the job. Overall, the roof took 7-1/2 weeks for a job that should have taken 3-4 days total. Tread with caution.. My experience was terrible.
