I had a floor outlet installed, along with two ceiling lights, and three outdoor outlets replaced. Work was done professionally with total cleanup and basic drywall repair. I’m very happy with the work completed. Thank you Fred C. and son.

Chris provided exceptional service from start to finish. He was thorough during the quote process and explained every detail clearly. We had recessed lights added and our existing fan/light fixture re-centered, and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. We worked with this company when we first moved into our house around two years ago and were very pleased with the prices, the service, and our specific electrician. Unfortunately, the man who helped us then has since retired, but VERY fortunately Chris was just as fantastic.

We are very pleased with the work done by Austin Hayes today, February 18, 2026. His work was very thorough and of high quality for installation of a complete doorbell system and a lamp post lighting fixture, in addition to exterior receptacle/GFI. He made sure that our safety was ensured by detecting and correcting potential problems with wiring. We highly recommend Austin for electrical work.

Chris did a wonderful job. I appreciate that he gave a 30 minute notice as to when he would arrive. He was respectful of my property and was very tidy. The job was an installation of an outlet. He evaluated the situation and chose the best way and location for the outlet. I also appreciate that he was willing to come beforehand and give an estimate. No surprises on the price! I had one other estimate and they were similar. I will definitely use this company again for any electrical needs.

Finishing a basement which required a complete electrical installation including HVAC wiring, outlets, lights, bathroom, complex bar requirements etc. Jason's team took the time to review all requirements, make excellent recommendations and then quote a reasonable price for all work within the timeline I needed. The finished product from rough in through to final finishing was excellent. Dane and Alex arrived on time, and explained the process of installing the standby generator they were delivering. Both men were very courteous and professional, and took great care placing the generator and minimizing damage to the yard. Excellent representatives of Tidal Electric.

Did not show up for two scheduled appointments, with no communication on either one.

Edit: Tidal’s response is not correct. There was no communication on the first missed scheduled visit until I called the office. At that point you rescheduled and missed the appointment again. And there was no communication on that 2nd missed appt.

I have used them twice in the past year to update lighting in my townhouse. Both times the estimator came out within a day of my request. The estimate was accurate and reasonable.

A convenient time for the work scheduled and the electricians arrived perfectly on schedule and completed the work in a very professional manner. I was kept informed of their progress and the changes were demonstrated to me before they left... No surprises, excellent work and very nice people..

14Dec2023 update

Going back to 1 star after finding major issues while checking over things for the final inspection.

After my findings I contact Tidal and on 29Nov2023 I was told they would get with the technician and contact me. I e-mailed and texted both after a week of waiting and I have still not been contacted.

Issues that I found: they were supposed to run 2 lines a 15 amp and 20 amp for my external lights and exterior outlet. Then junction the existing interior outlets with the new interior ones and doorbell. Seems pretty straight forward right? Apparently not, as they tied everything into the 15 amp breaker (all the existing and new internal and external lights and outlets, except the fan) and the 20 amp set up in the panel but not powering anything.

I think the issue would come down to the communication between administration and the technicians. So, I would recommend verifying that everyone is on the same page when the contract is written and the work being completed.

Update:

As of 09Aug2023 project is still unfinished. After the CFO/CEO contacted me on my original review he got me in contact with a new project manager. It seemed promising even though the cost was 3x more than the original quote. (The cost isn't the issue, but being given a quote and not being honored after getting the funds and thinking the project would be completed 6 months ago is).

But I went ahead and gave Tidal a chance, but regret doing so. I called and had scheduled for a technician to come on a day I was off work to finally finish the project on 01Aug2023 as they need me to be off since the original technician is no longer at the company (which is unfortunate as he was the only positive aspect of this whole ordeal), but as for the new technician it was a no call no show and I still haven't been contacted. I contacted the project manager via e-mail multiple times with no response. 8 months and the project is still unfinished. This isn't even including issues I have had with the work completed. (No fault to the technician that came out and one aspect is my fault as one of the items I ordered back in December they sent the wrong type of transformer. Which if the job was completed back in January February I could have got the item replaced.)

So as for technical issues. For starters my original work order Tidal had me cancel and make a new one. The issue with this is they didn't fix the issues with my original work order in fact they had a created a potential fire hazard as well. The technician that came for my original quote that wasn't honored had moved the live wires I was needing fixed into my attic not into a junction box. Just freely dangling. I would have never known if the inspector didn't need me to demolish the ceiling to install hurricane clips. But it is also how I found out that issue was completely ignored.

I was hoping that I would be able to turn the original review around, but so far my experience has been negative. I will be contacting Duke Energy about it and hopefully it will lead to a better outcome.

Original review-

Duke Energy uses them for their wiring/repair. Unfortunately, they are the only company used in the area, so unenrolled in that program after dealing with Tidal. In the span of 2 months trying to get a project completed. Duke made a work order and no communication for a month. Called Duke they finally sent someone over. They took over 2 hours checking into everything and explaining what I wanted done. They gave me a quote then I called to schedule the job the following week. A new electrician comes to do the work, but doesn't and takes another 2 hours to analyzing the job and gives a new quote doubled the original and leaves. Called to get a written quote, they send a third electrician the following week. He comes takes a few photos and leaves, then finally I get a written quote that is more than tripled the original. So I am gladly taking my business elsewhere.

Tidal did an excellent job on our generator install. We had an extra thing to do afterward. They were at the house within a day of the request. We’re not planning on using any electrician other than Tidal in the future. Great people! Ben is awesome!

Trey and Antonio installed a 240V outlet for a new car charger for us. They performed flawless work in a timely, professional manner. They knew the precise outlet to install for my Tesla, and it works perfectly. And they were on time for the appointment and called ahead of time to confirm that the time still worked. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any electrical work you need done.

I had a great experience dealing with this company. I needed some electrical work done to my house and they sent Ben Smith. He came with another guy he was trading name Alu I think but never the less Ben was outstanding. He was very nice and very knowledgeable about what he was doing and was understanding in explaining it to me.

This young man Ben is a credit to this company and if I need any more work done I will request him ever time. Ben has made me a customer for life with Tidal Electrical Services. He has a great personality and represented the company very well. I have nothing negative to say about him at all.

Josh and Has came even earlier than expected, which was great. They promptly got to work. They handled multiple requests and did everything perfectly. Extremely pleased with their service. Have used Tidal on numerous occasions and have been very happy with their work. Highly recommend them.

I cannot stress enough how poor my experience has been with Tidal Electrical Services from start to finish. I am normally very patient with businesses, and especially the with the trades. That being stated, This company has been impossible to get a hold of, even after my deposit. It took months of reaching out to get them to finally come out and there were several no-call/no-shows in which I stayed home from work for no reason. Then, after installation, they requested full payment before the final inspection. After receiving full payment immediately, they will not return phone calls about scheduling the inspection, which they said was scheduled for (now) 6 weeks ago. This is part of the work that was to be performed as a part of my payment, and it appears that they do not intend to get it done since they now have the money. I have had a trench in my backyard for well over a month that I had to place covers over to prevent injury to persons or animals in the yard. Looks like I will have to finish it myself due to their careless attitude about their customers. I am convinced that there must be a number of fake reviews here and/or they are able to delete poor reviews; I do not believe it is possible that they have earned the star rating that they have today, based on my experience.

We called Tidal out to look at an electrical issue we had with an apartment. The tech arrived on time and was very quick to figure out the issue. We waited a few days to here back from the office with a quote. After the third day we called and the quote still hadn't been put together. The very nice young lady who answered the phone reached out to a manager/supervisor and they said the entire meter base needed changing which would have been several thousands of dollars to replace. We received a second opinion and the company that came out was able to locate a meter base socket repair kit which was only a couple thousand dollars. We were about to spend a lot more than we needed to.

Tidal Electrical Services is awesome! Charlie Gray and Casey came out to our home twice. They made repairs for us under the Duke Energy Home Wiring Plan and also performed electrical upgrades in our home They installed an additional circuit breaker in the garage and a new light fixture and switch in the attic. On both visits they were consistently courteous, professional, thorough, neat, on time, and explained everything they were doing in detail. What a pleasure to have them service our electrical needs! When we need electrical services again, we will be sure to work with Tidal Electrical and to request Charlie Gray and Casey as our electricians.

Dane and Alex prepped and installed our 24k Generac generator. They quickly put us at ease with their professional attitude and attention to detail. They were very accommodating and patient, taking time to answer all my questions during the process. I especially appreciated them working to standard, ensuring the installation was done correctly, not quickly.
