I rarely place reviews but so save someone significant headaches:

I have a wiring program with Duke that contracts with Tidal electric. I am not sure how they have the contract considering how they have treated me. It seems they treat normal customers well respect but the Duke program they see as an extra duty since they are paid already by Duke...

I needed switches replaced due to safety and they had to come out 4 times (and still waiting for these to be done!) in over a 2/5 month span.

If you have the Duke wiring plan, its better to pay an electrician if you can afford it. If you can't like myself, well at least they are still coming out. I will hope for an update next year literally!

Update 12/29

On Wednesday Doug from Duke energy came out to remedy the situation between tidal and duke by inspection of electrical work He wanted to see the wiring if there was previous damage (duke policy says tidal won't need to fix). He said one was rewired wrong. I said fine don't fix that one and what's wrong with the others? Nothing... I said so why didn't they fix them? Because they were in error before. I said how come tidal replaced some and said they would come back and finish the job (they ran out of supplies)? He said they made an error. I asked what if they were right and seen no prior damage and fixed it to code and you are wrong? He said no the electrician was wrong. I asked so you don't trust your vendor tidal electric? He was quiet....

I emailed the response and will wait to see. But tired of spending so much time. It's that customer service where they seem like they want to help you with an agenda to prove they are right and look for something. Not worth the time...

Neil & Nick were phenomenal!!! We had a circuit breaker that kept on tripping. They were the third team to come. They both were very kind & patient. They did not stop until they found out what the problem was. I will recommend Tidal electrical services to my friends & family only because of the incredible service & care that Neil & Nick provided in our home. I 1000% recommend Neil & Nick. Thank you is not enough but we truly appreciate you both taking your time to figure out what was wrong & fix it correctly. You two men are simply the BEST!

Every aspect of service with Tidal Electrical was fantastic! Even my initial contact with their schedulers was enjoyable! They are very professional and pleasant to work with. I live at Hunting Ridge Apartments in Raleigh. I’ve seen Tidal service men around for quite awhile at our complex. Our apartment got our updated switches and outlets. They did a wonderful job explaining their safety procedures and never made us feel unsafe. The gentlemen put in a lot of effort and time to update the wiring the right way. If I had a question, they were always so patient and helpful. I also appreciated their amazing attitudes, they were respectful and positive. At the end of their service, they made sure to explain what they did and what changes were made. Your company has a wonderful team of electricians!

I've used Tidal Electrical Service for the past two years and I have found them to be prompted and thorough. Donnie never leave behind any debris and I am always pleased with the quality of his work. On this visit he brought along Matt a new employee to help with my work order. And again I was pleased with their work. I will definitely use Tidal Electrical Service for any further electrical needs, and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Josh assembled, leveled, adjusted height, checked the moving operation and electrical service to this under the counter Kitchen Aid trash compactor before he installed it. Home Depot had delivered the compactor in a sealed box, but declined to install it. This job took patience and professionalism to work in a tight space to install the expensive compactor. Josh double checked & adjusted parts for a smooth operation . I couldn’t be more pleased with the finished job. Thank you Tidal Electrical Services & Josh for coming to my rescue!

I recently called on Tidal Electric for the first time, about a concerning fuse problem in the house I just purchased. Rob was right on time, very professional, and also empathetic to my concerns. Amanda has also been extraordinarily helpful in scheduling and follow up for additional repairs. They are my new electrical service company, 100%!

To Whom It May Concern:
I first used Tidal Electric Services (TES) back on May 28, 2015, and was very pleased with the work they did for me. Keith replaced an electrical controller board on a generator that we had at the time. It was not installed by TDS back when the house was built in 2008.
It was not until August of 2020 did I called TES again because the generator was not coming on for its 10-minute weekly test cycle. TES’s Technician Trey and Luis his apprentice came out to find the generator’s starter had gone bad. Trey explained & showed me, how he came to this conclusion and that it may be wise to replace my current generator. Armando, the Project Manager came out to review the situation. I accepted the situation as explained and determined the need for a new generator.

Trey and Luis installed the new GENERAC generator on the first of September and I have been pleased with the unit ever since.

Trey was very helpful and explained each step during the process of determining the eventual solution to my problem. I would recommend Tidal Electric Services as the result of my first encounter with them back in 2015 and as the successful result of the generator problem in 2020.
Very professional and good communicator! I have agreed to their annual maintenance service which should keep my generator in good running order.

This company did a great job on electric and our house, installing two light fixtures and some other things. The pricing was great. I highly recommend this company they did the job right and for the right price.

Plug in outlets in one room were not working, called Duke power and they sent out Tidal Electrical Services. Young man Caleb was right on time, even took his boots off at porch as not to track in dirt or mud. He checked outlets in room, went outside to panel box and in a very short time I had power in those plug ins. Thanks Caleb. Thank you Duke power for using good companies to service your customers.

Do not use them for the Duke EV charger rebate program. Their game is to bill double that of what Duke will rebate leaving you paying more than it would cost to get an independent to come out and do the same job.

We are so thankful for Tidal. Johnathan and Tyler performed a miracle as we lost more than half power including heat on one of the coldest nights in 2026! We will call on Tidal again if needed for any electrical issues!

Zach B installed my 240v outlet for my Tesla charger, I am very happy with the results and was pleased with his timeliness and elaboration on some questions I had. Highly recommend this company and Zach to perform electrical work!
