He showed up on time, walked me through everything he was checking, and explained what was actually necessary and what wasn't. He did a full inspection, pointed out a few things never would have noticed on my own, and made sure understood the options before doing anything. No pressure, no upselling just honest information and solid work. My fireplace is working smoothly now, and feel a lot safer using it. This summer, I needed help resolving a propane gas line issue that had kept us from using our gas logs for years. I also wanted to have our chimney swept, and knew summer would be the ideal time to get quick service. After searching Google Maps to weed out fly-by-night companies, I found Mr. Smokestack—with an incredible 1,228 five-star reviews. Now I understand why. From the moment I called, the experience was seamless. CJ came out within a day or two, professionally assessed our situation, and gave us a quote for the chimney sweep. He also offered a ballpark idea of the gas line issue, noting that a technician would need to remove the logs to fully diagnose it. When we realized our gas logs were over 20 years old, we decided to replace them—and CJ guided us through the process with ease..

Within two days, we had selected a new fireplace insert, which was ordered and installed just weeks later.I opted to have the chimney swept and capped before the insert installation. Rodrigo, the lead technician, was outstanding—truly one of Mr. Smokestack’s greatest assets. Logan assisted during one visit, and Dani during another. Lane and his crew did great work. After cleaning and making adjustments in my gas system as needed, they took the time to make sure my system was working properly. Lane tested for carbon monoxide. Lane walked me through how to properly light and operate the gas system safely.
He answered all my questions and made professional suggestions as needed.

Our technician Logan was polite, extremely professional, thorough and informative. Our gas log units are older (but the house is new to us) and had no markings or model numbers, but he was able to get them both to 100% and even (very patiently) trained us how to use them! Greg checked and cleaned my gas fireplace. It had not been serviced since the house was built in 2003. Not only did it look fantastic when he finished, but he spent a significant amount of time answering all of my questions and walking me through caretaking and safety measures going forward.
