I based my one-star decision and rating not on the work that they do but how one of their vans was just traveling down led mine road driving very aggressively.

Thought I had a chimney sweep for a great price. They ended up just using a big brush from the bottom of the chimney... My house has smelled worse then it did before the cleaning for a few weeks now

Had just a Level 1 Inspection for wood-burning fireplace, but technicians were thorough and knowledgeable, explaining all safety precautions and possible mishaps to prepare for down the road. Will use them for future cleanings and/or repairs.

I left work early for a Friday 4:00 pm appointment. No one showed up. Called and left message and here it is Monday afternoon and no word. No need for them to bother to call now. I just made an appointment with someone else. So much for their Angie's List rating!!

So pleased with the level of service received today by Travis and Ivory - gave me a call prior to arrival, answered all my questions, and were quick and courteous. Couldn't be happier with my vent and HVAC cleaning services today.

The entire experience was satisfying and was clearly explained by the friendly technician .The end result was immediately noticed: fresher smelling air, no sinus issues upon awakening and an efficiency that our HVAC has not displayed for many years.

Did a great job cleaning our air ducts and dryer vent. Left no mess behind and didn't charge me for an unnecessary chimney cleaning. Best price I found, too!

WOW! I couldn't be happier with the service provided. Our ducts were in really bad shape, but they had the knowledge and skills to get everything back as it should be. They were on time, courteous, efficient, and tried to be as unobtrusive as possible. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

The folks at Mad Hatter are a pleasure to deal with, they responded quickly, came out on time, cleaned out the chimney and left everything clean. They also cleaned out the dryer vent too - easy to work with.

Easy to contact and schedule appt. Arrived right on time. Cleaned my dryer duct, installed the new vent I purchased. Kept right at the initial quote. I would recommend these guys to all my neighbors.

The person who came to our house was very nice and did a great job!

Quentin arrived right on time, was very sweet and professional and did a great job cleaning our vents and dryer vent. Our house feels so much better already!

We are extremely pleased with the 2 person crew of Ivory and Travis. They arrived promptly at the appointment time, performed a quick survey of the house, set up their equipment, and immediately went to work to clean the air ducts some of which had to be accessed via the underfloor crawlspace and in the attic. They performed their work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves so that it did not appear anyone was even here.

I hired The Mad Hatter for a chimney inspection and paid $89 for 15 minutes of "work" which basically included shining a flashlight up the chimney, looking around, and opening/closing the damper handle. No inspection of the exterior.

The technician was friendly and professional, so no problem with that.

Recently moved into a rental house with a wood burning fireplace. Waited until the first cold day of fall (like an idiot) before trying to book a chimney inspection/cleaning. Called a bunch of places and these guys were the only ones able to make it out less than two weeks later! Very friendly and professional, and also honest about the chimney (only charged me for the inspection because apparently the chimney was incredibly clean!) Also SO polite when it came to coordinating payment through our property managers. 6 out of 5 stars!!

Lance and Ivory cleaned the chimney and fireplace, provided safety tips and found a crack in the back wall. They cleaned up and after they left, i think my floor was cleaner than when the started!!
Lance told me to make sure I was comfortable with their price of replacing the back wall by shopping for pricing, however, this is the 2nd time I've used Mad Hatter and the trust is worth a lot. They will be back to fix my back wall.
