Mad Hatter was easy to schedule and they did a great job. We had something come up after they had already started cleaning our ducts, and they were so nice about having to stop and reschedule. Very friendly professional and prompt!

I would not recommend this service provider due to poor communication. I had submitted a request for a Chimney with a Wood Fire Stove affixed to it to be swept. It was not until the technicians arrived (they were very nice, professional and apologetic) at my home that I was told it would not be possible for them to clean the Chimney BECAUSE the Wood Fire Stove is attached. If you are looking for a service provider to clean your chimney and wood fire stove, do not utilize this group. I would also recommend that in any communication with this company you ensure scope of work is very clearly confirmed both in writing and by phone before the technicians arrive. The company also did not offer a discount of any kind and was unable to recommend a different provider to me for the service I had hired them for when they could not proceed with completing it.

We have been using The Mad Hatter at the apartment community I manage for over 10 years, and they have always taken excellent care of our chimney and air duct needs. Their team always shows up time, deals well with the residents, and always cleans up after the project. Never hesitate to contact these guys for chimneys, dryer vent cleaning, or air duct cleaning!

I had the best experience with Mad Hatter technicians, Lance and Ivory over the weekend! I had the air ducts in my house cleaned as well as getting my chimney cleaned for the upcoming fall/winter. Both were highly professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and did an amazing job on both services. I will most definitely be a repeat customer and highly recommend them if you are looking for these types of home services. A++!

The services that were provided were perfect! I had them clean my ducts, clean my dryer vent, and check my chimney. The guys who arrived, Ivory and Dee were super professional and did a thorough job. Technicians Ivory and Dee were very professional and treated our home with respect. They laid down cloths for their equipments to protect the floors, put booties on their shoes and had masks on. They did a very good job on both our air ducts and sweeping the chimney. And believe me, our chimney and air ducts were very dirty!!! There was one air vent the was missed. My house is a mess right now so I’m not surprised they missed a vent. But when I called the Mad Hatter, no questions asked except for my address, they are coming back to address the issue. And was also told that if I find anything else to let the technicians know. Now that is service!! Love the company and the technicians. Great job!

Estimate was given very quickly over the phone without any visit needed, they seemed to only need the square footage or the number of vents in the house. Their technician, Ivory, was running a few minutes behind the scheduled time but he made sure to call me right before the initial scheduled time to inform me he was running late. He showed up and got to work as soon as I showed him the vents in question, he didn't need much more input on how to get access and where to get power, he seemed to be a great -self-starter- and got to work very promptly. Apparently my air vents and ducts were fairly clean but I was very glad they were able to clean out and check my dryer vents while we were here. It was only then since we bought the house three (3) years ago that the previous owners had the dryer vents improperly installed! Either way, the bill was well worth the peace of mind to have the most clean air possible for our 7 month old son.

We called Mad Hatter because our dryer vent needed to be cleaned out so we had all air vents cleaned making sure to tell techs that the dryer needed to be cleaned. They only cleaned the dryer vent from the outside and this didn’t fix my dryer problem so they came back to clean from inside. When they got here they wanted to go in the attic since our washer/dryer is upstairs. While up there they turned my furnace off thinking it was a light switch! So we woke up on a frigid morning to no heat! Thankfully our hvac person suggested we check to see if the switch was off or on. NOW I go to use the dryer and it sounds like a wind tunnel so we checked and they didn’t reconnect the vent hose!!! All for $645!!!

Very pleased. The phone operator and both technicians were all very professional. They fixed the problem quickly and affordably.

My dryer vent was obstructed and they were able to clean it out from the inside and from the outside, now my dryer works again and says it has good airflow.

The only critique I have is that the first technician did not bring equipment to clean the vent from the outside and they had to send another technician a few hours later. It would’ve been nice if they were able to do everything all at once but no big deal at all. It got done and I’m very happy with it.

They did a great job with our dryer vent cleaning! Both the Technician (Quintin) and Owner (Tony) were very friendly and professional. Best price in the area too. We were referred to Mad Hatter by Raleigh HVAC as they don’t perform this service.
