I can't remember ever having a major repair at our home when the repair people were ever as conscientious as Schmidt Heating and Cooling were. I wish every repair we ever had went this smooth. Oh BTW, the furnace and heat pump runs great too! Couldn't be more happier with Schmidt Heating and Cooling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

The guys showed up to install a new AC unit in the attic. Originally thought they would have to cut a larger hole, but were able to remove the house fan and go through there.

They were awesome! Any mess they made was cleaned up as the only sign they were there was the new unit and thermostat. Highly recommend to have the crew at Schmidt Heating and Cooling for any HVAC needs!

I was having a “loud sound” coming from my outside unit only when the temperature dropped below 30. My heat wasn’t kicking over to oil heat either. I called another place prior to Schmidt’s. They came out, spent a total of 15 minutes at my house, told me everything was running correctly, and charged me $207! Needless to say, I called Schmidt’s up yesterday, and Mark came out today, spent 2 1/2 hours, and was able to diagnose the problem(s). I need a new shroud and my timer for defrost was set on 90 minutes instead of 30. Mark was EXCELLENT. He explained everything, in detail, to me. He took the time to actually figure it out instead of just saying, “well, I don’t see anything amiss”. And the charge was DELIGHTFUL. I will be using them (Mark) from now on. If you want a place that will do you right, THIS IS THE PLACE. EXCELLENT JOB Schmidt’s!

On Friday Night of a holiday weekend my AC unit went out. This system is only 4 months old. The installation Company advertised emergency hours. I called immediately expecting a phone call back in the morning. Nothing By Sunday Had given up and the house was becoming uncomfortable. I called several local companies that advertised emergency repairs. The first three did not answer and have still not returned my call and it’s now Tuesday 😂. When I called Schmidt A polite lady answered on the first ring and said we can help you.. This is a Sunday mind you! She told me she would have a Technician call me. Less then 5 min later the phone rang. A gentleman named Mark asked me what was the problem. I told him the basics. In a two minute conversation he was able to describe what to look for in my unit diagnosed the problem over phone and I was able to fix it temporarily till I could get ahold of my contractor and fix it under warranty. This company’s actions this weekend will make me gladly call them in the future when I have a service Issue. Mainly because they were the only ones on a holiday weekend that had my back when I needed help. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate your help. A business ran in this manor is hard to find in today’s world I definitely recommend them!

Had them come out for a check up as my system wasn't acting right. I explained my unit was making a weird noise and wasn't performing like it used to. Serviceman blew out the drain pipe which took 2 minutes, charged me $150, and left. A week later I found out there were two leaks in my cooling coil and needed to have my entire HVAC system replaced. Diagnosis from Schmidt could not have been further off. Don't waste your time and money - call someone else!

My husband noticed dripping from our evaporator coil component of our air conditioning unit, so we called Schmidt Heating and cooling, who were able to schedule service for the next day. Mark, the technician, called approximately 40 minutes prior to his arrival and he arrived on time. He determined the issue quickly and professionally, by clearing a clog from one of the pipes from the evaporator coil. We were pleased with the service and will use Schmidt for our HVAC needs in the future.

So easy to deal with. Easy to schedule, show up on time, clean and respectful.

I first noticed that something was up about a half hour after I called. I was told that a tech would show up in about 45 minutes... He showed up in less than a half hour! He asked me about the symptoms, and diagnosed the problem and was able to complete the repairs in about an hour or so because he had the parts needed in his van. As for the price, it was less than I expected after he told me what the problem was. I found out later that the repairs would have been more after calling for competitors prices. The tech, Andy, was very polite and professional, he left our home the same if not better condition once he was done. While every company have humans working for them, and everyone can make mistakes, it definitely didn't happen today. I'm very pleased with the service and the price, so we'll definitely be calling Schmidt heating and cooling if we ever have a problem again.

Service technicians did a good clean job of installing the new heating unit on time but a couple of days later someone from Schmidt called me up and wanted to know why they weren't paid. Kind of used a hateful tone to me. But I'm not the owner all I did was let them in the basement to give an estimate and let the technicians in to install the new unit. Work was fine but someone in accounts receivable dropped the ball as the payment was made that evening after the installation was complete. Thank goodness the owner kept the receipt where she had paid in full as this was a sizeable amount of money. So keep those receipts.

Schmidt Heating and Cooling is a great company to do business with! We have used them exclusively for the past 14 years and they never fail. Steve and the team do great work and run and honest business. Would highly recommend!

I've been a customer of Schmidt Heating & Cooling for over 30 years. They have installed 3 HVAC systems for me in that time. I have been pleased with each one. Their customer service is top notch, from the office staff to the techs that service my system once a year and the owner, Steve is always available to talk. There are cheaper companies out there, but you get what you pay for.

Schmidt Heating & Cooling hit all the marks when it came to replacing my furnace and air conditioner. My units were the originals (25 yrs), so I knew I was operating on borrowed time. When my furnace went out one night, Schmidt was there 1st thing in the morning. They got it up and running with a new ignitor. Three weeks, and 2 additional ignitors later ... at no charge ... the writing was on the wall. Bruce had given me a quote on their Lennox units, which I found to be very competitive. Once I made my decision, Schmidt had me on the calendar within the week. Greg oversaw the installation, which was seamless. He was very professional, answering all my questions and explaining the new equipment. I can't say enough about their quality service department. Roger and Andy were both prompt, professional, and responsive to my questions. I am enjoying my new, ever so quiet furnace, and will continue to use Schmidt going forward to service both units.

Moved to a new home in the Cincinnati area from out of town and they prior owners used Schmidt so figured smartest to keep consistency. Had them out for a "tune-up" and since this if my first boiler asked that everything was working ok. He confirmed it was but didn't check any of the radiators to confirm they were on, bled, and working. Again, zero experience with boilers so was hoping I could "lean on the professionals".

Then had them out to provide a tune up for my AC months later. I asked if everything looked good and asked if the filter looked good since I felt like the AC was kicking on much more than it should, was told it looked "ok". Turns out i should've checked myself because he didn't change the filter (or likely look at). When i called to ask why they wouldn't change it, I was told it needs to be "specifically" requested and it "says so on the work order". Again, cannot "lean on the professionals" for advice and/or guidance.

Finally, due to my ongoing issues with my boiler, I called to ask for some assistance in understanding my options to fix and they sent out their project bidder to review diagnose. He said he needed to think through some options and get back to me. 4 weeks later, I heard from no one. When I called to follow up, the receptionist said they never went out there and have no record of the an employee coming to my home during that time. I described the guy, which she then admitted did work for them but "she doesn't have access to his schedule" so there was "no way of knowing he was out there". I guess it's my job to keep track of names of folks they send out to my home.

I spent a lot of money with Schmidt to service our boiler and AC and was hoping courtesy advice would come with it. It does not. Been disappointed with them at every turn.

Schmidt Heating & Cooling Co is awesome ! They (Zach and team) came to our house to replace our old AC Unit today. We are so pleased with our new unit- it is up and running- very cool and super efficient. They were on time and worked efficiently and cleaned up very well. They even took the time to explain the new thermostat - We HIGHLY recommend them !

I called Schmidt to service my air conditioning on a 90 degree day. They responded within an hour and replaced a part to get it working. The price was fair and the work was honest. They could have tried to sell me a new unit since mine has seen better days. Thanks, Steve!

I've used Schmidt since 1995. Great company with great customer service. I just had a Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed. The two knowledgeable men from Schmidt worked quickly and they were friendly. The company has always been quick in response over the last 26 years -- with the service, inspections and equipment,. I highly recommend Schmidt Heating. .

Base of my furnace was leaking water. Erik replaced the gasket and it works great. Erik was very nice and knowledgeable. I also want to thank Steve for his quick response. Diana thank you for all your help, I enjoyed talking to you. I will be using Schmidt when it’s time for me to get a new furnace.

Schmidt kept our furnace - which turned 30 years old this year - running until we finally decided to replace it. They provided excellent information and direction about a new one and completed a prompt, thorough and professional installation. We look forward to having them continue our service contract with the new unit.

Ran into a problem with my A/C on Saturday and spoke with an on call person who was very helpful. Opted not to do the emergency service option and wait until Monday. Gotta save money where I can. Mark came out right in the estimated time I was provided. Listened to what the issues were and what steps I tried to solve it myself. Within an hour he had it fixed. Needed a capacitor replaced. He went above and beyond and did a few other quick checks. The rate was reasonable and he was very friendly and professional. For a woman who doesn't know anything about HVAC stuff other than what Google can tell me, I was worried that my forehead was going to read "Sucker" in flashing lights. I am happy with the service, quick response and even faster return to cold air in my place!

Steve came to our house, looked at what we had (20+ old boiler that quit & AC with outdated freon) and gave us a quote on the spot. Everything was explained and all pricing options were available to look at. Every question was answered and no pressure at any point. Their crew showed up and did their job as a team. They were polite and worked hard to remove the old unit from the attic area. We had a new boiler and AC unit installed. Looking forward to this more efficient system running in our home.
