Today this company came had to switch my water line from the lead pipes we had to copper pipes. Now this company was contracted by the City of Akron to complete this service. Well upon completion they had to turn my water back on. So now the water is not working in my kitchen or my bathroom sink. So went to let them know and they were very rude and told us that this was not their problem and basically take it up with the City. Now this is a plumping company. How is this not your problem. My water has worked just fine for the 15 years that we have lived here and today my water is not working properly. This company couldn’t care less they already got their money. So if you have to have the same thing done make sure to check your water before they leave, but rest assure their not going to give damn about if it works or not! SHAME ON THE CITY OF AKRON FOR CONTRACTING THIS COMPANY WHO ONLY CARES ABOIT THE MONEY AND NOT THE PEOPLE! YOUR WORKERS NEED A CLASS IN EDICT AND HOW TO HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU WILL LOSE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS THIS WAY. ALL BUSINESS’S ARE NOT GOOD BUSINESS PEOPLE!

I needed services done quickly in my home and everywhere else was telling me they couldn’t get me in until end of the week, Mayes & sons was at my house next day! The gentleman I spoke with on the phone as well as the technician who came to the house were both insanely respectful, super friendly, and very efficient! Definitely a company I will be recommending to friends and family!!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, ha, we’ve had to use plumbing services a few times over the last couple of months, and the technicians we’ve worked with have been polite, responsive, and efficient!

Matt was on time and very fast. He fixed the problem and the price the as quoted on tbe phone.

They had an opening, and got me in several days before my scheduled appointment. Alex was able to figure out and fix the problem in no time! He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. All around it was an excellent experience, and using my Old Republic Home Protection warranty, All of the work was covered, and I had no additional out-of-pocket expenses. It was great!

I got warrantied Rheem service through Mayes & sons, and they were fast and very helpful. When Rheem and Enbridge couldn't find a solution to the problem, I was able to work directly with Mayes to solve it and implement the solution.

Terrible response time miscommunication after miscommunication they cut a huge hole in my kitchen ceiling after two weeks they call my warranty company it's beyond their expertise they were quoting us thousands of dollars. My warranty company sent out a different company and the repair was down within one hour and he told me the hole in my ceiling was never needed! Showed me the problem what he was doing to correct it and fixed it for $200! These people are con artists and bached up my house for no reason!

I recently had Mayes & Sons Plumbing address a few plumbing issues and install a new hot water tank, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Gary was at my house within 15 minutes of making the call for a plumber! He was professional, personable and went above and beyond! He’s the man!

Alex, the technician, fit me in a day early and was exactly on time. He fixed my hot water tank quickly and efficiently. He was polite and did everything as he said he would.

I made the mistake of self installing a hot water tank I bought at Home Depot. John and Preston went beyond the call of duty today returning my old water tank to Home Depot and getting a new one installed quickly. The work is also very tight Looks way better in my mechanical room

The service was great. I called for service on my water heater at 1pm, the technician was here by 8:20am the next morning. The technician was friendly and professional. The cost was covered by a warranty from the company for the hot water tank.

I wish I could give zero stars, one of the worst experiences ever. I have water leaking from my ceiling and when I informed them it was coming from the pipe I was told that it wasn’t. First they change the wax ring on the toilet but a week after water continued to leak from my ceiling.

They came back a second time and opened up the drywall but the day they finally came the pipe wasn’t actively leaking. Instead of waiting for the leak to occur again to see where exactly it was leaking from the pipe the plumber stated he believed it was coming from my roof. I had a knee roof installed in 2023 so I knew that couldn’t be the case. Fast forward a week and my ceiling was leaking water and I was able to see where it was leaking from the pipe. When I tried to have Mayes and Sons plumbing return I was informed by my home warrant company that the technician stated the leak was because of my roof and they completely closed my request. I was informed i either had to pay another $200 deductible or wait 7 to 10 BUSINESS DAYS for them to decide if the plumber made a mistake, even though I have video evidence.

I ended up paying another deductible but I made sure they weren’t the ones returning. People don’t pay for assumptions and lazy workers we need results!!!

I was not home but my son was he said our technician Jacob was very professional and did the job. In a very timely manner. My laundry room was spotless and nothing was left behind. I would definitely recommend them again.

Preston from Mayes & Sons was very knowledgeable and friendly!! He assessed the water tank and knew immediately how to resolve the issue. He was timely, efficient, and clean!! He is a great asset to the company.
