Edited:: Keith and his partner came out today and completely cleared out the pipe all the way to the street. They put a camera through and showed us what they had done. We are extremely happy with the result of today's service performed! Keith also offered an estimate to repair the sewer pipe. They have totally restored my confidence in this company! Rip off! H.Jacks came to my house twice within 11 days to clear the main after my basement flooded. On the 2nd visit, we asked about using a camera to make sure it was really cleared out and they said it was an additional $430. Mind you the 2nd visit was an additional $150 already just because it was a Saturday. We spent over $1000 in 11 days because they only guaranteed it for 24 hours. We found another company that would put a camera in, only $150, so we could actually see what was going on. H.Jacks had only poked a small hole in the roots in our pipe. They didn't even get it totally cleared out!

Really timely and reliable service from H. Jack’s. Michael W. really took his time this morning in the servicing of my hot water tank just after the holidays. He is very thorough,explained things in a way they were easily understood and took time to ensure things were performing 100% as expected before leaving. He and his colleague Jeff were professional, very customer-centered, fair and friendly, making for a very positive experience

We had a really great experience with H. Jack's recently! We moved into a new house and quite literally all of our plumbing needed updated. We had quite a few different guys out but it was primarily Jeff and Jon taking care of everything for us. It took about a week, but they got everything updated and taken care of. Pricing was very reasonable considering the amount of work we had done. We had multiple quotes and H. Jack's was by far the lowest. Everyone was very professional and helpful. Would 100% recommend H. Jack's!

Awesome service from start to finish. VERY professional company. Fast and friendly, very knowledgeable. Lucas and Dahn did an incredible job, on time and worked continually until the job was completed. We are 100% happy with this company and will only use and recommend them in the future. Big job but they handled it like it was no problem at all. THANK You all. Richard and the gentleman at the office were a pleasure to deal with as well.

I had a awesome experience with the techs and the work they performed from start to finish. Jeff, Will and Dave were very professional and showed up quickly to replace my hot water tank. I was very impressed with their professionalism and the when the work was completed they left my home cleaner than when they arrived. Thank you for everything.

Clogged bathroom sink drain that was in wall piping. Easy scheduling. Michael W. came out in first hour of time window. Curtious, professional, knew his stuff. In and out in about an hour. Asked if I understood the situation and proceeded to fixed the issue quickly. Have used hjacks several times over the years. Like Michael, they hire good people.

Jeff and Kevin came out to clean out a blockage causing water from kitchen sink to overflow and leak out of the floor drain in my basement. As well as install a new trap and vent underneath my kitchen sink.

Jeff explained everything to me in an easy to understand way and was a pleasure to talk with. Extremely happy with the finished product and results.

A $16,000 replacement was recommended for what turned out to be a $100 fix.

We contacted H. Jack’s for intermittent boiler ignition issues during a cold snap. We paid approximately $1,200 in diagnostics, labor, and parts. This included a $165 diagnostic fee, a $317 charge to “restore heat for the night,” and an additional $751 to return and “fix” the same issue, plus cleaning/servicing the boiler.

Despite this, the problem was not resolved and returned within a week.

When they came back, no meaningful re-diagnosis was attempted. The visit consisted largely of explaining that the boiler was “old,” that intermittent issues are “hard to pinpoint,” and shifting immediately to upselling a $16,000 combo boiler + water heater replacement (despite us never having any issues with the water heater). When we asked whether additional components could be tested, such as the control module or wiring, this was brushed off as "you can spend money on replacing parts, or you can put that money toward a new boiler."

After this, my partner independently replaced the control module (a ~$100 part) and corrected wiring that appears to have been improperly configured. Since then, our 25-year-old boiler has been running better than ever: immediate ignition, no lag, and even heating between floors, even in the middle of a brutal Cleveland winter.

It’s extremely disappointing that the root cause was missed after paying a hefty diagnostic fee, and that we were charged multiple times for unsuccessful attempts on the same issue. It was especially frustrating that replacement was recommended instead of completing the diagnostics we already paid for, when a simple and inexpensive fix was ultimately the solution.

I strongly caution homeowners with older systems to seek a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs or replacement recommendations. This experience felt far more focused on upselling than on thorough troubleshooting.

Ezekiel and Jeff did a fantastic job putting in our new hot water tank. They were very respectful of our home, as they covered their shoes and the carpet leading to the area of the water tank. They were also punctual with the time that they said they would arrive. I highly recommend H. Jack’s Plumbing and Heating!

On January 31, 2026, my furnace stopped working. The only reason I can give H Jacks one star is because they were quick to respond and arrived within three hours. I informed the technician that the blower motor was extremely hot and suspected that was the problem. When the technician arrived, he repeated my observation about the broken blower motor. I paid $185 just to have my own assumption confirmed. The technician then told me that no replacement part would be available until February 2, 2026, and quoted an installed price of $1,535, offering no credit for the $185 service call. The invoice lacked any breakdown of parts and labor costs. On Monday, I purchased a blower motor and capacitor myself for $131. This company lacks transparency and charges unreasonably high prices. After sharing my experience, I discovered others had similar complaints about H Jacks' pricing practices. I do not recommend this company and am willing to provide documentation to anyone interested. Buyer BEWARE!

I had an emergency water line repair and Dahn was fabulous. He came out quickly, solved the issue and gave incredibly helpful advice and educations about water lines. I’ll be back for some other things I need done and will be requesting him specifically. Thank you!!

Kevin was awesome. He did an excellent job explaining the work that needed to be done to replace our dead furnace. He helped us understand the best type of replacement furnace for our home and walked us through the financing. He followed up on everything he said he'd do. His work was very clean, and he explained the correct operation and maintenance of the system. His customer service quality was so refreshing. I'd highly recommend HJacks, and especially Kevin.

From initial phone call they were kind, courteous and professional. First time using H. Jack's, but would use again. Pleased they were able to call me back so quickly, get out to house same day and take care of issues. Gave me my options, prices & what they would recommend. Luke & Austin were great. Left area they were working in clean & tidy! Even cleaned basement steps from tracked in dirt. And they were nice to my animals-which is important! 🙂

We had an outstanding experience with H Jack’s Plumbing & Heating. My parents’ 50-year-old furnace stopped working, and they responded immediately—arriving first thing the next morning.
Adam and his crew replaced the furnace with a new Bryant system, replaced the 40-year-old air conditioner, and installed a new thermostat. The workmanship was excellent and the crew worked efficiently while keeping everything clean and professional.
What meant the most to our family was how patient and respectful they were with my dad, who has dementia and was giving them a bit of a hard time. They handled the situation with kindness and professionalism the entire time.
It’s not easy to find companies that combine technical skill, professionalism, and genuine compassion, but this team did exactly that. I would highly recommend them.😊

Had called to have a small water line leak checked out. Thank goodness to Richard thoroughness, he discovered we also had has leak. He did all the needed repairs and even stayed until the gas company came to do what they needed to do on their part for the repair. Very thorough on his cleanup and very thorough on explaining what he did and what our future needs would be.

We had an excellent experience with H Jacks. H Jacks added water lines, drains, and electrical before installing a dishwasher and washer/dryer unit. The quote was comparable to other quotes we received. They were very efficient, cleaned up everything before they left each day, and did excellent work. Richard was awesome and kept us updated throughout the entire process. Would absolutely recommend H Jacks.

Our family needed help reconnecting a gas line to our fireplace. The commercial fireplace contractor shared they were not able to do the work and stated we would need to find a mechanical contractor. I reached out to H. Jack's Plumbing and Heating and they said they could easily support our project. I run a service company so I am always interested to see how other businesses show up in the market. I was very pleased with the crew from H. Jack's. They called ahead, were professional, worked expeditiously, tested for leaks, and verified the fireplace worked prior to leaving. Thanks for the great work!
