In the efforts of doing some sprucing up we had several companies out to bid on removing dead and infested trees on our lot. Davey provided a fair quote in a timely manner. When the team showed up with the most impressive equipment we felt very reassured that this was the best company we could have chosen. The two men performing the difficult task of removing the limbs and trees on our challenging lot were professional and proficient in their work. They performed the job in a timely manner and left our lot clean. I would recommend and hire again.

I wish I could find more companies like Davey’s! We had a large branch fall on the side of our house and back patio less than 24 hours after moving in. I made a call to Chris the next afternoon and he returned my call within the hour; he was at the house for a consultation shortly after that. Chris was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He provided a thorough inspection and explanation of the trees on our property and offered valuable insight for future maintenance. The removal team was there the next day and they were just as exceptional. Not only did they haul away the branch, they cut up some firewood for us, used a leaf blower on the entire back patio and yard, and swept the driveway. Best service ever!!

A large tree-sized limb fell on a rental property we own in Victorian Village just before a thunderstorm on Thursday evening. Max with Davey Tree met us at the property on Friday and was able to organize a crew to come on Saturday and coordinate with all necessary partners. The whole crew including Max, Philip, Justin and Cameron were great. The job required expert knowledge and experience as the space was very tight with lots of power lines. They carefully evaluated the situation before strapping the tree at various points and using a crane to keep it in place and VERY carefully taking the huge trunk down. Very impressed with these smart and athletic people! Clean up was impeccable. Thank you!!

We hired Davey Tree to treat our crabapple in the front yard for apple scab. They did a great job last year. The tree hadn't looked better in years. They completely dropped the ball this year. They didn't contact me to renew the service. I had to call them and it was blamed on a scheduling software problem. Then, they didn't start applying the fungicide spray on time. They were almost two months late. I had to call them again and ask what was going on. They came out and sprayed the tree, but it had already lost half its leaves due to having apple scab. This was totally preventable, if they had performed the service on time. I asked them to change the bill to half what it was due to their failure to do the treatment on time. They sent me a credit for 1/3 of the treatment
cost instead. They also gave us a free fertilization, but I have lost all faith in this company. Do not use them if you expect any communication or things to be done on time. Would not recommend.

I have used Davey Tree Service now for two years. They are always punctual and super helpful in discussing what is needed and what is not. Their pesticide service is excellent and we have noticed tremendous improvement in the health of our trees and shrubs in one year. Japanese beetles, tent caterpillars and aphids had been destroying leaf growth and are now under control. Everyone we had dealt with at Davey has been knowledgeable and very helpful. I’m very happy with their services.

Arborist, Jacob Burns, was easy to work with. Kept me up-to-date on the process, answered all my questions promptly and was even respectful of the time of day the tree trimming started. I have already recommended Davey to two individuals. I received a post card that Davey would be in my neighborhood and a customer highly recommended Davey. I called Davey, Jacob was able to view the trees in question within a few days of my call. He provided an estimate within minutes of his visit. A crew arrived later in the week, took care of trimming the trees (which are very close to the house) and clean-up. We were very satisfied. We will recommend and contact Davey in the future for our tree service.

I have had The Davey Tree Experts for over a year for my residential service. They have been courteous and professional each time I have had interactions with them. All of my vegitation including my lawn is thriving based on the recommendations and services from Davey. I would highly recommend them.

It is unreal that a tree company can be so bad at doing the one thing they are supposed to do cut trees. I scheduled for someone to come to my property in March to provide a quote (intro Alec) he walked the property told me he understood my needs provided me a quote and told me his team could come the first week of April. I was excited I planned my day, called their office to confirm the appointment just to come home to find that the appointment was cancelled (and no one told me I had too call; Alec didn't think that was important to inform the client that they can't come to do the work they stated they would). Life happens so we rescheduled. The crew came a few weeks later, spent 6 hours on our property cut 4 trees and not in the way we requested, left branches they cut in the trees, left half hanging branches that we had to by hand tear down for the tree ourselves. We were of course upset (especially since the quote for was close to $2,000) so we called to have them come back to complete the work that was requested. Alec again came to the property walked the property and even stated he was disappointed in his own team. With that we had a third crew come. They came, hit our residence on the side with their truck, damaged our gutters (told no one) and cut a few of our trees but didn't complete the work. They stated they didn't have the correct tools to complete the work that we had originally requested from Davey Tree's. Of course why come prepared to do your job. When I called Alec to inform him yet again of the items that were missed, he told me (without coming to the property to even inspect) that the work was completed. I had to than call to speak to his supervisor Brian. Who is even less helpful than Alec. Brian came to our property 3 weeks after we requested (even though he did state he could drop in when he has time sooner -- he never did this nor did he contact me to inform me of his issues with coming over to review). I also called the company to dispute teh charges hoping that I would be contacted soon. It took a full 3 weeks to get in actual contact with Brian/Davey Tree. He finally came in at the end of May to discuss the work requested in March that should have been completed in beginning of April. After he reviewed the work he sent an email stating that he would like to make this right, fix the damages and cut the trees we requested. I sent an email early in June stating that we are okay with them coming and would like to hear next steps. It is now July and we have yet to hear from Brian.

Davey Tree...Should be called "Just like Tree we are Silent..."

We will never be using Davey Tree again and I will definitely share this awful experience with anyone looking to trim trees around Columbus and anywhere. Save people the headache of dealing with this company and it's people.

If you are looking for tree company's there are so many others to choose from. Do your research. Stay Away from this Company. Nationwide recognition means nothing.

Davey Tree....be better

Very disappointed in today’s service, previously expressed disappointment and was told service would improve. Today’s service included a spray treatment on a Norway Spruce for pine weevil. I witnessed the treatment from my kitchen table and I don’t believe on shot thru the center of the tree constitutes a treatment when the weevils were/are at the top of the tree, probably 40’ above ground. Technician CG, was interrupted by the account rep and they went off and did an Inspection and left a report on front door. Very disappointed in Davey Tree, the overall quality of the service they performed and or provided. I will not pay for today’s visit and am awaiting a response to this review and do not recommend them . I am extremely disappointed and unhappy

I tried calling the number on the inspection report but got a message “ number no longer in use”. I quest my expectations are too high!

My apartment complex uses Davey for lawn care. Davey is the worst on the market. They always miss sections of grass. Right now the front of our property is half mowed. I watched as one worker was shooting rocks at people's cars with a weed Wacker, and I have watched them miss strips of grass when mowing and never return to fix the issue. I wouldn't ever recommend this company.

I’m a property manager in the Dublin Granville area, today, a truck pulled in with a big piece of machinery on the back. It is our policy as a company to not allow anyone other than tenants to occupy the parking lot. I had went out and asked the driver if he was doing work on the property he responded with no. I informed him that this was private property and he would need to leave. He then responded with don’t own the property I responded by telling him I am the property manager and I’m in charge he then began to spout profanity’s at me with the ending of his rant being I’m not leaving” I said it is private property so you have to leave. He said no so I went and took a picture of his license plate and snapped a photo of the truck when I was back in my faculty. As I was taking these photos the truck driving was yelling profanity’s at me, he mentioned very loudly in between his vile words that there should be signage. We have posted signed on every entrance and exit including dispersed throughout the parking lot. This is nasty behavior and shouldn’t be condoned . I’ll be making sure to share my experience with the local Westerville property managers aswell as local business owners. Thank you

I have had Davey for 2 jobs and have been very satisfied with the results. The crews are professional and also do a thorough job of cleaning up. On the last job, I had contracted a local tree service company for an estimate but they turned down the work as it was a bit complicated. Davey responded within a couple of days. The tree and they were gone in 2.5 hours without using any mechanical equipment due to the location. While their price may seem a bit higher, the "Expert" in their name is worth it in my opinion. Largest employee owned business in Ohio and headquarters in Kent.

We have been using Davey for our lawn treatments for over 10 years. Great products. Great results. Rarely will I leave a review but I have to give a shout out to our technician Tim. He goes above and beyond, and does all the little things no one else does anymore. His attention to detail and dependable service is unmatched and he continues to exceed our expectations. Thanks Tim!
