HVAC reviews in Columbus, Ohio

We built a brand new house in 2021, had a brand new HVAC installed by Arrow heating and cooling. 3 years later, our AC has broken twice in the summer heat. We change our filters very regularly and do everything we are supposed to do, arrow tells me "they are man made parts, sometimes they break" now they are quoting me 1000$ to fix something that only they have had their hands on. I have never felt this level of gross mistreatment as a customer. Would NOT recommend

Jimmy H is a great technician and expert who took care of the issue pretty fast. He explains the issue clearly.

Jimmy came out and did a fantastic job noticing, diagnosing, and repairing a coolant leak. The preventive maintenance plan is definitely worth the investment and strongly recommended, particularly for anyone with an arrow installed HVAC system.

I had an excellent experience with Arrow Heating and Cooling. No one wants to have to fix a broken a/c, but they made the process easy and affordable. Their pricing was reasonable and they sent a technician out the same day I called. I was especially impressed with Carlos who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He explained things so that I could easily understand what was wrong, and he made sure my system was running perfectly before leaving. Thank you so much Carlos and team!

Terrible terrible terrible
Came home today to my heat not working called around 3 pm for a service request was told someone on call would call. 2 hours went by I called put in another request around 5 pm - it is now almost midnight and we have still not received a call. Luckily one of my neighbors was able to recommend someone who came out and fixed the issue within 45 minutes.
Also would like to add we just built our home 2 years ago and this company is the one who did our install so this furnace is only 2 years old. How convenient after the 1 yr warranty is up we have an issue and same with our neighbors after communication with them through Facebook. Not to mention the tech who
had come out made it known that the install on our unit is complete trash!
Will never call nor recommend this place again!
Update : it is now Friday morning we called TWICE on Wednesday was told on call would call us we still have not received a call back. Also another update our heat went out Again we now have to replace the switch which remind you is only two years old on a brand new unit. Absolute garbage of a company -
Technician came out for a weekend job, gave a fair price to repair, and did great work. We have used Arrow for several years, and they continue to treat us great.

I called and told them what part needed to be ordered and they said they would order it and call me back the next day. When I didn’t hear from them I called them that afternoon and they said they said they would call me in a few hours with an update. When I didn’t hear from them I called them back the next day and they said their owner said he didn’t want to do this job. I am in shock that I had to reach out every time and that after 2 days after leading me on they decided not to help. If I knew that I could’ve looked elsewhere. Incredibly unprofessional.

Ask for Jimmy. Hands down the best rep there. I had an issue and they came out a few times and the issue still wasn’t resolved, Jimmy came out and fixed the issue after 5 minutes 🤦♂️. He knows what he’s doing, is patient with someone like myself who doesn’t know much about this area and clearly walks you through the problem/solution. If you have to go through arrow for service for new homes like mi homes, Ask for Jimmy!!!

Our AC had went out unexpectedly so we called Arrow since they installed it a couple years ago. Shane was super prompt in getting someone out to assist us and Andy was able to come the next day. Andy was quick and efficient and was able to replace a broken part super fast. We were so nervous we’d have to pay for some expensive part but it was so affordable and easy. Thank you guys!

This review is for Jimmy Hacker. He came and heard my complaint about the wabbling noise caused by a new install. Took his time to listen to me vs previous tech. Found the issue and resolved fairly quickly. I hope anyone that has an issue could be blessed by this genuinely kind hearted person .

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the behavior of your service person Anthony / Tony yesterday during a AC repair visit at our friends home. When I simply inquired about the estimated time to fix a part of the AC unit, your technician responded with unacceptable rudeness, shouting, slamming door, and arrogance. This kind of unprofessional conduct is entirely unacceptable and does not reflect well on your company's service standards. I expect a basic level of courtesy and respect from any service professional, and this incident fell far short of that expectation. BTW other neighbors around the house heard him, and they came out of their home asking for my well being.

I called asking advice about my furnace after another company insisted I needed an expensive repair. I received same day service and the employee was very experienced and put my mind at ease.

We have a recently built new home and the furnace was installed by arrow. The filter box was not installed correctly and we could not replace the filter. It would not fit in. The service tech came out to fix it and he forgot to bring the parts needed to fix the problem. So they have to come out again and we have to wait 2 weeks. We asked if there was anything sooner since we already wasted a day waiting for the service tech to come who was late getting there. We expressed concern that it was such a long wait and were told that “it was our problem” that we had to wait so long. It is
not our problem that the furnace was not installed correctly the first time and it is not our problem that the tech forgot the parts needed. We did not expect to be talked to in this manner from a customer service rep.
All of this is Arrow’s problem not ours. We just have to deal with their customer service issues because they were the contractor the home builder unfortunately used. -
Jimmy (technician) reached out because I had a last minute request to get my furnace working again. After just a few minutes, he was able to walk me through what was wrong which turned out to just be a clogged flu because my children shoved dirt in it.
Appreciate all your help! -
Not sure why or how- multiple people in our neighborhood have not had working humidifiers that are built into our HVAC system. Our community was new build in 2021 and the company that installed the system did not complete installation the same for every house- last week we all figured that the eco AC unit control was improperly installed/setup. Some had it correct and others had it incorrect. Thankfully we used critical thinking and inspected the ones that worked…( I am sure this company would have just charged us all $$)- here is the problem:one wire installation and the programming was setup for two wire installation. Now we all can use our humidifier.

The people you hire are going to get somebody killed on the road. I was driving down I-71 and one of your vans was aggressively weaving between traffic and tailgating people, and at one point attempted to pass on the shoulder. By the time we reached Polaris Pkwy, he got past an 18-wheeler and sped off doing at least 90. I understand that Columbus doesn’t have the greatest nor fastest drivers, but that is unacceptable behavior on the road.

We moved into a newly constructed home and Arrow installed the HVAC system. They couldn’t get the heat regulated through out the house. (Came back 3 times for the same issue within 6 weeks; been in home 2 months) The snow/ice storm came and the temp was 60 degrees, we called and was told that another customer’s home was colder then mine and they would get to us in a couple of days. POV: if I am calling about MY issue, I am not concerned about the issues of others.
Chuck sent his son Mike to “fix” the issue. Mike came with 3 big rolls of duct tape. Apparently, he taped it up but the components fell off over night and the house was freezing.
We called again and told Chuck the component fell off (we looked in the attic - which was a sauna up there) and saw the component on the floor.
Chuck told us that they would never “tape up” their work; always bolts and boarded up. He told us he has been in business over 30 years and would never do a botch job like that….we went up to the attic and took a picture (the attic was like a sauna) and sent it to him - all the tape; broken/fallen component…..he never apologized or even admitted that his son did a botched job. He did fix the problem but just the fact of him getting mad and accusing us of defaming his company was upsetting. We had to “prove” the repair was botched. Who talks/treats first time customers like that?
Fast forward two weeks, the heat is working properly (finally) but it makes me wonder why they couldn’t do the job right the first time. -
I called and asked how much it would be to diagnose a gas leak. They said 105 for service call for gas leak diagnostics and the parts would be free because my furnace was under warranty.
Technician did diagnostic. Tacked on 90 dollars for labor and let me know that it is charged in 30 min increments. Took 40 min to diagnose. Appeared to be stalling the last 10 mins so that they could round up 40 mins to a one hour charge.
I understand paying for their time but they technically "omitted" the truth to get the sale. -
Nate and his team did an amazing job installing a furnace and a/c unit. They were professional, timely and reliable. They went over options and were honest, fairly priced and reputable.
