The folks answering the phone were nice enough and easy to work with, responsive, etc. Cheers for doing the front-end well!

However, I was not pleased with the technician sent out (I will not name him here). I felt like my issue was not a terribly difficult one, yet he wanted to go the most difficult route to solve the problem (it felt like he was trained to handle all cases that way and he didn't have the depth of knowledge to get creative). Overall, my plumber seemed to lack experience and the ability to troubleshoot. On top of that, with paying him hourly, he seemed to just sort of "hem-haw" around when I was trying to discuss options and get some honest perspective. His attitude and demeanor did not instill any confidence in me that he could do our job to my expectations.

Also, pricing seemed like such a mystery to this plumber, he was constantly calling someone to get prices, rather than having a cheat sheet for pricing (which, I explained they were coming for a hose faucet, so not sure why they didn't have some pricing for common repairs?). I've worked with other plumbers and HVAC folks in the past that could say "yeah, I have that part on my truck and I think it runs $20, but will double-check." This guy did not exude that level of confidence or breadth of understanding with pricing.

Ultimately, one leaking piece was fixed, then another piece started leaking. I told the plumber to just settle up the bill with me and be on his way. I will look for a more experienced plumber if that small leak becomes a nuisance.

Needed a pipe repaired in home I just moved in to that was corroded and starting to leak (albeit very slowly). Called and was told it would be as an "emergency call" later in the afternoon which was fine. Great communication throughout the day as they called back and offered to come in the early afternoon as they were running ahead and it would not be an emergency call. Couldn't get out of work early so I kept the later time. Got a call when the guy was headed to my house. He was super polite, explained everything, did a great job, cleaned up, etc. Also answered a few questions not related to the pipe that will ultimately save me money as it gave me the direction to go in order to get my hot water heater working correctly. May have taken him literally 60 seconds, but will save me time and money. And my dog liked him, so that pretty much seals the deal with me! I also appreciate their responses to the few negative reviews. Shows real credibility and responsibility. Well done. Will definitely be using these folks for all my plumbing (and heating and cooling) needs.

True pros. Used for faucets, toilets and gas line troubleshooting. What a difference professionals make. Not the least expensive but done right. First name on my plumbing list for sure

I hadn't realized that Muetzel did HVAC -- we had only previously used them (repeatedly) for plumbing. The A/C tech Brian was professional and friendly -- he quickly diagnosed and fixed our A/C problem. Pricing was extremely reasonable (AND without the "upsell" that some of the less reputable firms do). Muetzel is now our go-to HVAC repair service.

I’ve had an excellent experience with Muetzel. From the customer service on the phone to the technicians that came to my house, everything was great. They were able to get to my house quickly (they even called me to move my appointment up a few days when they had a cancellation). The technicians were very friendly. I had a phenomenal experience with Muetzel Plumbing! I live in an older victorian home and needed a valve replaced on an old galvanized pipe along with additional work to bring our main water line up to code. I had six plumbers come out to look at the job and half of them refused because they didn't think they would be able to do it successfully and risk having to replace our entire water line. Two different Plumbers recommended I called Meutzel for such a tricky job. They came out same day, Sean the Plumbing Service Manager was very knowledgable and went above and beyond even reaching out to the city inspector himself to make sure everything was copacetic before beginning the work and patiently answered all of my questions. Steve the Plumber was scheduled to do the work and he was EXCELLENT. He arrived a few minutes early, had all the tools & materials that were needed and gave me a step by step breakdown of what he planned to do before starting the work. He completed the job without any issues and even finished in a shorter period of time than was quoted. Steve was professional, knowledgable, and honest throughout the whole process. I will definitely be using Steve in the future and highly recommend him for any complex plumbing work! Thank you again Steve!

Muetzel had installed our old water heater for the previous owners which lasted FOREVER. When it finally blew, we called them to install new one. The front-line person who answered the phone, Sonia, was so kind and sympathetic to my situation. She said she had to be realistic with scheduling and so they weren't able to fit me in same day but she scheduled me for first time on the next business day. She agreed to call me if they had cancellations and she expressed understanding when I told her I was going to call around to see if I could get someone sooner. We ended up finding a plumber closer to where we live who was able to do it quicker, but I will always remember how easy it was to talk with Sonia and definitely would use them if (God forbid) we have more plumbing needs.

I called Muetzel to come out and give me a quote to install two new toilets and check a 15 yr old hot water tank. I suspected the tank was not operating properly and Muetzel confirmed that it would be better to replace it than repair. They said they could do the work in the next couple of weeks.

The property was vacant but due to a family medical emergency, I explained to Kyle, the technician, that I needed the work done as soon as possible. He went out to his truck and made calls to confirm that the items needed for the work were available, gave me a written quote and said they could do the job in four days. I really appreciate the concern they showed to get the job done for my family.

They are not only good plumbers, but caring people.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Muetzel Plumbing & Heating. I used them years ago & then moved into a new condo and was using the company that installed our plumbing etc to try to make things work properly. After a few visits of that other company saying they couldn't find the reason for the gas smell under our stove, we called Muetzel & they found the issue in less than one minute and fixed it! They also help my mother with some issues in her home & came back twice to make sure everything was working well (at no additional charge!) The service people are always so helpful & courteous!!!

I wanted to take a moment to share my sincere gratitude for Joey and Nick who came out to my home to look at a problem with my Heat pump. I had been told by another well-known company that I was going to need to "spend thousands of dollars trying to fix the current one or just have them put in a whole new system". I was not satisfied with that answer and asked Muetzel to come look at the issue and they quickly went through several logical steps to identify the issue. The unit had been overcharged by the first company that came out to look at it and wasn't working properly. The first company had also suggested a new thermostat that they installed but did not have wired correctly for my unit to work. Long story short, Joey and Nick took the time to figure out EXACTLY what was wrong, communicated every step of the way and took care of the issue within 2 hours of coming to my home. They were very courteous, kind and took the time to explain everything they were doing. WOW...what a refreshing experience to share because positive customer service seems to be a rare thing these days. Let's face it, when your AC unit dies during the week temps are consistently 85 to 88 degrees, it's miserable. Thankfully, the Muetzel team was just a phone call away. Every interaction was wonderful—from my first phone call with customer service to the diagnosis of our existing AC unit (not good!) to the delivery of our new equipment—everyone was kind, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and very empathetic.

The turnaround time was super-fast, the pricing was reasonable, and the service (from everyone) was exceptional. I know it's super cliche to say, but Muetzel really does live up to that "treating you like family" vibe. I highly recommend them if you're looking for exceptional quality and service!

These two very knowledgeable techs came out to the house. They recognized that a special-order plumbing fixture needed to be ordered.
Mr. Alvin, and Taylor were very polite...wore masks and shoe covers....
For, the time being, they simply charged a modest Service Call.

A big shout out to Muetzel Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I had a toilet that was installed a few years ago that had a broken flange bolt that anchors the toilet. They came out the next day and quickly determined the problem was due to careless installation in not leveling the supporting bracket to the floor causing bolt to crack. Quick service, very reasonable cost and extremely professional. They are my "Go To" plumber going forward.

We hired Muetzel Plumbing in August 2025 to replace our existing water heaters. Shawn came out to give us an estimate. After we gave him our approval Jacob and Kristian came out to do the work. They were all very kind, professional, respectful of our property and did such a wonderful job we hired them again to replace a gasket-like thing in our kitchen sink which required removal and replacement of the garbage disposal. Again everything went smoothly. We will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend Muetzel for any residential plumbing!

I am so glad that I chose Muetzel to replace my broken watter line. Their attention to detail was impressive. They were so courteous with my wife. They laid down protective flooring from the front door to the basement. They wore booties indoor. The boring contractor's machine broke down that morning so they hurried one in from another job and completed the job that day. Their communication with my wife and me (I was recoving from surgery at OSU) was impressive. Their removal of stones from the dig sight and backfilling exceeded my expectations.
