We were very happy with the work that Nate and the entire Tartan Builders team did in replacing our roof. Nate was very persistent in working with our insurance company and explaining the process to us. The team that replaced the roof did a great job and left the surrounding area very clean.

Tartan Builders worked with our home insurance company after we received wind and hail damage to our home. They helped us with each step in the process and provided an accurate estimate of our deductible up-front. They provided several color, style, and durability options for the new roof that closely matched our previous roof. The installers did a fantastic job installing the new roof in one day, and they were very thorough with the clean-up effort after the job was finished. Their team was professional and courteous, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Deacon did a great job working with my insurance company to make sure that they covered all of the wind damage my roof sustained. He was wonderfully attentive and accommodating to our needs and preferences. Tartan did great work. My roof is beautiful.

I had a very pleasant roof work done by this company (Tartan Builders). I tendered a roof replacement request to my insurance company and after all the inspection and reviews, my request was declined by the insurance company. Carter, the Tartan builders roof associate had worked on a neighbor’s roof and had visually seen some damage on mine from across the street and came knocking on my door. I told him my request was declined twice and and that I was told to repair the roof the first time with my deductible but he insisted he could get the insurance company to replace it considering it was in a really bad shape. I reluctantly agreed and he started work.
Amazingly, within 3 weeks, my roof replacement was approved. I really was surprised how he was able to turn things around. He not only got approval for the roof to be replaced but also got me funds for my solar panels on the roof to be removed and replaced after the roof was done.
Carter was so pleasant to work with, called and texted frequently to give me updates and was true to his words. He fulfilled his promises and always showed up when he promised to and if he couldn’t make the appointment, he always called to let me know he wouldn’t be able to make it, rescheduled but always apologized for that too. It got to a point that I felt he was too polite and very sincere. I liked working with him and wish I had him for all my other projects. I have been very pleased with Tartan builders and with Carter in particular.i

They came in and had a large job done in one day everything was cleaned up and I had no issues. They did a great job working with us and made the process very easy. I appreciated how easy they made the whole process. The contractor was Deacon and he was great to work with.

I was working in my back yard when Carlos Vasquez asked if he could inspect my roof for hail or storm damage. I gave him the okay thinking there was no chance that he would find anything. Carlos did find some damage and asked if he could work on our behalf with our insurance provider to see about a potential replacement. Within a matter of days, Carlos called back with great news. Total replacement approved AND we wouldn’t be out of pocket for any of it. Over the course of the next week, Carlos brought out samples so we could pick our new roof color. He followed up regularly with scheduling information and updates. We were on vacation when the work was done but Carlos sent pictures throughout the day so we could see the progress. When we got back, I walked around the house to check the cleanup work after the installation. I found ONE small piece of shingle and ZERO nails. The whole process was easy from start to finish. Carlos and his team did an amazing job and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

They went back and forth with our insurance provider for months to make sure everything we needed done was covered. Weeks and weeks of maddening incompetence from the insurance company, but they kept us involved, informed, and were very encouraging through the nonsense.

And the work was absolutely perfect. They were on time, they were fast, and they left absolutely no mess. I can't recommend them enough. They will get the job done, minimize the headaches, and deliver premium service at reasonable prices.

It was a long process and well worth the outcome. Seven was our contact person and went well above our expectations to work with our insurance company to get our roof fully repaired. We would highly recommend Tartan Builders for roofing needs. Need to mention our roof was 23 years old.

I noticed a small leak in my garage ceiling, I called a few companies to get estimates. Tartan builders sent out Trent. Trent was super friendly and very polite. He also really knew his job very well. After climbing up on my roof and inspecting, he came down and explained to me that a repair could be done, but the shingles were in really bad shape and that they were actually discontinued and they wouldn’t be able to match them. So we decided to go ahead and replace both the garage roof and main roof. This was the end of November and it just got really cold and we were worried about getting the roof finished. Once again Trent assured me their team would be able to get it done as soon as the temperatures were above 32 degrees. Couple weeks later Trent called me and said this weekend will be in the 40’s and they will be there to get the new roof put on. They came that weekend and had the roof off and on in one day. We were not home that day , so Trent checked in with me a couple times just to let me know how the progress was going. We are very pleased with Trent, Tartan Builders and our new roof. TL;DR: Fantastic experience from start to finish. Joe and the Tartan Builders team went above and beyond with my insurance company, got us a full roof replacement, and the installation was fast, clean, and professional. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Joe McQuade at Tartan Builders, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From day one, Joe was extremely helpful and responsive, guiding me through every step. My insurance company (State Farm) denied my claim multiple times, but Joe never gave up. He came back out to take new photos, even installed the “match” shingle State Farm found (which was nothing like my roof), and kept working on my behalf until he finally got them to approve a 100% roof replacement for my family’s home.

On installation day, the crew showed up right on time around 7:30am and had the entire job completed by the end of the day. They worked quickly and professionally, and when they finished, they cleaned everything up thoroughly—walking the property multiple times to make sure no nails or debris were left behind.

The whole process was smooth and stress-free thanks to Joe’s persistence and the professionalism of the crew. If you want a local roofing company that will fight for you with insurance and deliver a flawless install, Tartan Builders is the one to call.

After a few intense storms (hail in April, and extreme winds in June to name a couple) this year, we had the roof inspected.

As requested by our insurance, I tried reaching out to other roofing companies closer to us, just to make sure we were getting a fair shake, but none of them would return my calls for quotes, maybe they're too busy, maybe we're too far away, I don't know, but it was a little disappointing.

Our insurance required 3-tab/25-year, traditional underlayment (like for like replacement of originally installed materials), but advised that any upgrades or alterations would be at personal choice and expense if the cost rose above the quoted amount.

I expressed to our sales reps Walker Williams and Joe McQuade that I was not interested in adding costs, and they assured me that they could do the work for the quoted amount. What happened was ultimately very impressive, Tartan upgraded us to synthetic underlayment, GAF Timberbline HDZ shingles, new 36" ice barrier (to bring roof up to code), new drip molding and installed the ridge vents that our home's builder failed to install when the house was built 21 years ago (it does have gable vents at each end). They made the improvements without charging us or our insurance provider for it!

Full tear-off and install took about 8 hours on our 2100sqft (because attached garage) roof.

The contracted installation crew did an exceptional job as well, work was performed to exactly the standards promised, (I had my wife send photos throughout the day so I could monitor progress and see if anything was being skipped/missed) I walked our place last night when I got home, after work was completed and the crew already gone, the yard is immaculate!!!!

All in all, I could not ask for better service, quality of workmanship, and pricing. I'm sure that if....in the extremely unlikely case, an issue arises, it would be handled with the same level of dedication and service. I am truly grateful.

We had the best experience with Lorenzo and his team. Professional from the start and still checking in on us a week after the roof was completed. Communication is top notch and the team who came to put on the new roof were in and out without a spec of dust remaining! Here in the morning and cleaned up and out by early evening. I contacted Tartan Roofing for an inspection and estimate for my nearly 30 year roof. Ayden and Seven arrived and performed a complete inspection. They explained the shingles on the roof were no longer being manufactured, and both agreed due to the age and condition of the existing roofing material, a complete tear off and re shingle would be the most viable option.
The project manager, Seven helped me work with the insurance company ensuring a smooth process. He was instrumental setting up delivery of all materials before the project began, and was on-site the day of the job to assist both the contractor and me. He also ensured clean up was taken care of in a prompt manner.

I would recommend upgrade roofing to anyone I got great customer support from Mike and Sara who were there for every question and concern I had. They gave me an outline of when and how things were going to work and how long it would take. I felt like a person not a number which is rare these days. They also make sure that all nails and debris is picked up after the work is done they placed a tarp over my house to avoid any damage to anything and went through my yard with metal detectors afterwards to make sure my car tires and pets were free from nails. The work came out beautiful their 3 D shingles and colors you can pick are fabulous. If you want a hassle free professional staff to replace or even repair your roof. Superb experience. Dean knows what he is doing and walked me through the entire insurance claim and new roof installation process. Crew got it done in one day. Only downside was some minor damage done to my yard and a Japanese maple in the front yard near the house. Dean still gets five stars because he offered to replace the plant in the spring if it dies.
