Blendon Gardens did an outstanding job. From the design phase with Chris Elliot through the installation on the landscape. Chris was helpful in making suggestions that improved the project and cost less money. The installers made sure the project was done right. When there was an issue with planting one of the 6’ spruce, they move things around to make it work. I would defiantly hire them again

We have been trying to reach someone regarding the stone steps installed by Blendon at our M/I home. We’ve left several phone messages over the past five weeks and cannot get anyone to return our calls. Once I reached someone at the office and was given the number of Andy, who is in charge of stonework. You guessed it. I left two messages for him over the course of three weeks and have yet to have a call returned. We would love to have our broken stone steps replaced, as they are becoming a safety hazard.

I built a MI home and moved in last October.
This spring I asked my designer to replicate what was planted on an area of my landscape.

I own an MI home with whom Blendon Farms did my landscaping. This is who MI goes through. I have a tree on the easement that Blendon Farms planted, this tree is my responsibility if it dies per MI I have to replace it. I had a one year warranty on this tree through Blendon Farms.
I noticed the trees leaves turned red, brown, black then fell off. It did this from the very beginning when I moved into my home. My warranty was almost up so I contact MI customer service and the lady was very helpful and nice emailed them the pic I sent her and she explained what the tree has been doing. It would sprout new leaves once a month like spring came that often and then die and fall off at the end like it didn't know if wanted to live or die. They did nothing the first time so I contacted them again and sent new pics. It took them forever to get out to my house that is only thirty minutes away from their location. Ridiculous!! They basically have refused twice to plant a new tree. So since they refuse I will do it myself so I have a nice tree that will live and not die off every month. So FYI for anyone needing landscaping done I would think twice about having them do it because if something goes wrong they are no hurry to come out and fix the issue even if they are under contract to do so they will take their time. Would never recommend them to anyone!!!

Dealing with Landscapers can be an absolute NIGHTMARE! but Blendon Gardens was wonderful to work with. This was the first time we had started the process to re-landscape our home and we weren't really sure how to do anything.

I live in a large, brand new community and Blendon gardens planted trees in our front yards . A month after install it died and I had to have it replaced . Here we are a year later and the new tree is poor quality and dead as well . We maintain beautiful landscaping in front of our home . When I contacted Blendon gardens I was told I need to pay to have the tree replaced . Not only is my tree dead , but several in the neighborhood are dead as well. Very poor quality and even worst customer care when emailing for help. I was told I couldn’t make a complaint and there is only one person in the company who could answer questions about trees , that person was unable to provide any solutions.

If I had a choice , this wouldn’t be a company id do business with ever again. Being told “tough luck” basically by a customer representative is just never a good business practice .

Chris has been awesome!!! He has been very prompt in answering emails, as well as being very professional and knowledgeable! It has been absolutely a pleasure working with Chris and I would definitely recommend him in the future.

I moved into a new home who utilized Blendon Gardens. Unfortunately the quality was so poor. They laid down shrubs and bushes and didn’t put anything under to prevent weeds. This has been such a headache and so unsightly. I need to start my front lawn all over. They also installed a tree that is crooked and leaning towards my house. After 5+ attempts to get them out to look at it, they claim it’s fixed but the tree is very clearly still leaning towards my house - this will create more problems for me later. I’m not sure if I got poor service because it’s a new build and I didn’t hire them personally but I would probably recommend looking elsewhere for your garden needs. I’m having to re do pretty much everything.

Crew was great! completed the edging and paver sidewalk Saturday morning!!

I hate to do this. I rarely leave poor reviews for businesses, but feel that I have no other choice. We built last year and unfortunately our ~25 lavender plants did not make it through the winter. After initially reaching out in the beginning of May, we got the approval that they should/would be replaced. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks from when I initially spoke to warranty at the end of May. It is now almost August and still nothing. I have e-mailed three times looking for an update and have received no response. We have now been sitting with a bunch of dead plants in the front of our house for ~8 months.

I typically don't like to give bad reviews, but if I knew what I knew today, we would have never used this company. We had pines installed in the Spring of 2023. One pine died over the fall and winter months , not even making it 7 months. They replaced the dead pine in December of 2023, free of charge, per their contract. By May of 2024, the replacement tree also started to die. For both initial and replacement tree, we did our part with watering and maintenance. We reached out on three different occasions to see if there was anything they could do for us, considering NEITHER pine made it to a year. Finally received a email back, in timely manner, with their contract attached stating only the replacement tree is free of charge. Poor customer service and will not recommend to new builds in our neighborhood. Picture is replacement tree after five months.

Patrick and Blendon Gardens once again exceeded expectations. This is the third house we have worked with Patrick to design. Our previous yards were much larger but this yard does not disappoint. Looking forward to next spring and summer when everything will be in bloom. Thanks Patrick!

Chris at Blendan has been wonderful to work with from design to installation and then this month our awesome fire pit needed a little repair. The team came out and were very efficient and made the stone top even sturdier than before.

I am bewildered by some of these negative reviews I have read. Both myself and countless clients of mine have boasted of what wonderful experiences have been had when working with Patrick Affourtit and the entire team at Blendon Gardens. In my personal experience, the selection of plant material is fantastic and Patrick's professionalism and creative designs have been absolutely fabulous. Blendon even honored the one year warranty when one of my myrtle plants didn't make it within the first year of installation. They were prompt in getting back to me and replacing it with another one. Five Stars for sure, and if I could share Ten Stars I would.

After hiring this company, and multiple emails back and forth re-clarifying details about our lawn project, we were promised that they would be here yesterday to begin working on our lawn unless the weather was bad. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day and they never showed up or called. Now we have to start the process again.
