Took a look and said it was a belt. It wasn’t. He didn’t even take the cover off to see what was wrong. Told me it would be 400 to fix it, but would have to order the belt. I ordered the belt he said it would need. It was the wrong belt. Ended up replacing belt and the thing is still broken. All of this for 137.00. Machine still doesn’t work, and YouTube is helping me diagnose the issue. Don’t waste your money with this company.

Nick did a good job. My complaint is Sears offers no way to communicate while awaiting service. Also response time time way too long. I waited over three weeks to get my furnace repaired. It is very cold in winter with no heat and no way to communicate.

Josh was very prompt and professional. He couldn't repair my refrigerator because the parts are no longer available. He explained everything thoroughly and signed me up for the two year service plan for my other appliances. He also supplied pros and cons of certain brands for my future refrigerator purchase. I'd recommend him to anyone needing expert service. He is definitely a positive asset to your company. It was my pleasure to meet him.

Technician was amazing and very thorough. Super nice and knowledgeable. The customer service however was actually awful. After waiting seven hours for the technician to show up, I received a text message that my service was cancelled. Called customer service and everyone was foreign so it was difficult to even understand. They proceeded to tell me that I was the one that cancelled the service which was ridiculous. I never called anyone to cancel. Technician great! Customer service the absolute worst!

I had no issue with Gregory. He was wonderful. My issue is with Sears. Poor customer service ....AI was not helpful at all. Get rid of it!!!! And they rescheduled my appt multiple times stating I didn't have the part when I had the part for days cause it was delivered to my hime and I had called and told them that. The people who came to my home were excellent...it was scheduling and service around it that royally sucked.

After the first visit by the first technician, I felt that the customer service at Sears was terrific. But between the first technician and Lito your customer service went in the toilet and I didn’t think it was gonna come out. When Lito arrived he was polite professional got right to work and got the job done within an hour. He corrected Sears mis-step and now I’m a happy customer.

5-Stars for the Service Technician, great work and great customer service!! However, I didn’t like having to wait all day (between 8am-5pm) for 2 days for my inspection and repairs! AND my repairs were Completely overpriced! Although, I’m enrolled in the ‘Sears Protection Appliance Home Warranty Plan,’ I paid out of pocket $413.62!!!!! Do better Sears! Do better!!!

Worst customer service. Redirected on the phone Many times and they rescheduled my appt 5 times within a span of 3 weeks. Original appt was a Wednesday 8a-5p. At 507p was contacted by an ai to reschedule my appt for the following day. Again 8a-5p on Thursday. Another entire missed day of work. They contacted me at 3p to tell me they over booked the technician that my appt is now moved to Fri 8a-5p. So now Friday they called me at 445p to tell me he wouldn't get to me until 710p and that it would be best to move it to the next available appt which is the next Wednesday. But that they woukd call me first thing to tell me if i was the 2nd or the 9th appt of the day. So Wednesday comes around and I dont get a call first thing to see my appt window so I called. They told me they didnt have a narrowed time frame but they woukd call when they are on the way. At 230p I get an ai call saying there isnt an available technician that my appt got rescheduled to the following monday. And no one was willing to give me a free month of service or anything. RUDE.

Brian was in and out in under an hour. He removed excess lint from my dryer, found a treasure trove of coins, replaced the heating element, and was delightful and super kind. While I do feel the cost was a bit much, in my opinion the service was worth it (quick fix and I didn't have to leave my house or buy a new dryer) and the dryer should last for another 8 to 10 years. Thank you Brian!

Firstly, this review does not refer to the two technicians assigned to Order Number 000476613216538 who were polite and helpful.
Between Dec 25, 2025 and Jan 21, 2026 I was given 6 appointments (3 no shows by repair service agents with no explanations) and waited at home from 8am until 5pm each day. A technician eventually attended and diagnosed a problem (lower element) and a part was ordered ($178.88 + tax). A different technician came to fit (40 minutes labor time) and also diagnosed a separate problem (temperature sensor) and that part was ordered ($131.75 + tax). The second technician returned and fitted the sensor (75 minutes labor time). The combined order wait time for parts was more than a week. During the above dates I received 79 emails from Sears H.S. with confirmations/cancellations of appointments/and requests to reschedule. All required me to "identify" myself by entering codes sent by email from (all codes registered as incorrect)! AT NO TIME WAS I ABLE TO PHONE AND SPEAK WITH A SEARS H.S. REPRESENTATIVE!
Sears made charges for the above parts of more than twice the listed manufacturer's list prices.
The labor charge to diagnose and fit the above parts amounted to $379.95 for a time spent at my home of less than two hours. The combined cost for parts and labor of $713.10 is absolutely unreasonable. Please respond to this review before we take the matter further.

Got diagnosis and repair scheduled quickly, parts came overnight, and fixed the next day! All for a lot of money! I believe in buying good products and repairing them, rather than throw them away and replacing them with every problem. Dryer is 8 years old and now back to new again, thanks to Kurtis.

    They showed up.
My technician did nothing concerning my leaking dishwasher. I told him I think it's a seal, but not sure. He then gets on ChatGPT to look up a replacement seal. He said it would be $300 in labor to replace and like $150 for the part. Apparently Sears charges $600/hr for labor. John was more focused on selling me an appliance maintenance plan for $60 per month than diagnosing my dishwasher leak. He didn't run a cycle, look underneath or anything. Very disappointed with this. Sears wouldn't even refund my "diagnostic fee".

UPDATE 03-02-26: I finally got around to calling Sears back (the number given is one I called before) and entered the voice prompt menu from hell. My issue isn't an "option" that can be addressed. I tried getting a live representative and instead was welcomed by Samantha (their AI representative). I asked to speak to a live representative and was informed that there are no live agents, only her. Every number I have for Sears all leads me to the same voice prompt menu. Hey Sears, why don't you CALL ME since you have all my information already and give me a number to call and speak to a HUMAN? I would think you would like to make this right....

The tech was very knowable and thorough. Was able to diagnose the problem quickly and make the needed repair.
However, customer service at their office sucks. It's only an AI computer. You can't even ask for a human. My tech was very late and I tried calling to see if I could reschedule without a charge because I had an appointment scheduled 2 hours after his arrival time and with him being so late I was concerned about making it to my appointment. It's not fair to the tech to give this rating a 1 star, but truly customer service is a 1 star, the tech is a 5 star. Service cost is also way overpriced.

Gregory was great. He called about an hour & a half before the estimated arrival time to let us know he was on time and would be here at the estimated time. He was Right on time!! He was proessional, explained what the issue was, what he was doing to repair it. Gave us the cost up front. Completed the work in about 1 hr. It was our icemaker. Cleaned up after himself.
This entire process was seamless. From scheduling the appointment, to the follow up call from Bernie, after scheduling the appointment & Gregory's excellent communication & work.
Will use Sears for all my appliance repair!

If I have the 0 on the review, I will include it. We have more that 2 weeks not having to use our refrigerator. 1st appointment was ordering the part, 2nd no appointment made tech just called that we are on our way, 3rd appointment was 20mins call ahead and after that tech arrived and claimed rang the bell and knock twice then left. There was no way the bell will ring and I wont hear. my appointment was 8-12noon. The best way to keep appointment is to call on arrival after knocking. The lady that picked up the call was so rude screaming that that is not the way it works as if I have not been a field tech in my life. Tech calls on arrival, it is only when techs are lazy or dont want to work they knock and leave without attempt to reach client. This is an instinct, if I saw 3 cars in the driveway, my instinct will assume we have people at home and let me make an attempt to call the office or client if the door bell is not getting to reach them or I am not knocking enough. It is so sad that I have to call off work to fix a refrigerator all day and still being talk to like a nobody. Poor service! Poor service! Poor service!
