Reviews of local pros in Thorold, Ontario

Update: we did hear back from the owner - who credited us back our funds and did apologize- which is appreciated. He committed to talking to the plumbers in his employment who came to our house.

Ideal Plumbing is less than ideal.

So almost $150 for these folks just to show up and another $150 to put a bead of caulking on the drain - with a supposed 1 year warranty if the leak wasn’t fixed.

Leak wasn’t fixed. Called them back and second guy was “unable”to locate/fix leak. Basically shrugged his shoulders and left.

So much for the 1 year warranty. Disgusting customer service.

Reached out to owner of company - no response.

Next company called - did assessment for free. Identified source of leak - educated us on what had failed and fixed the problem.

We’ve been using this plumbing company for a number of years and have always had excellent service. Andy is an absolute pleasure to work with — always friendly, professional, and nothing is ever an issue for him. Anne

Exceptionally knowledgeable, kind and patient as we navigate our first home with boilers. Step by step explanations on the system and a full inspection to give us peace of mind. The Ideal plumbing staff have been fabulous! Highly recommend

This review is being done by Paul and Marian Browett. We hired them to install one toilet in the basement. Then on the main floor to remove an existing vanity, sink, faucet, and toilet. After that, to replace the old ones with the new ones that we purchased. They did a great job and clean up, with amazing expertise and friendly personalities. A job well done with fair pricing. Give them a call for all your Plumbing needs and you won't be disappointed.

Our fireplace stopped and made his personally made sure it was ready for us available. He found what was wrong and within the week. A warmth was a big bonus. lol They are alway clean, kind and a great price.

Lindsay the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Mark, the owner and the newie Owen was able to fix my gas furnace wall unit in 30 minutes. What a great team. Thank you Ideal Plumbing & Heating Thorold.

Thank you so much to IDEAL Plumbing, Heating & AC and the Plumber who quickly responded early Sunday afternoon to our sump pump issues. We were really pleased with the response and the work that he did in promptly replacing the sump pump under the challenging circumstances with water draining into the sump pit. The cost was very fair & reasonable. We always call on IDEAL!

I am thankful for the experience with Ideal Plumbing & Heating from my first call for assistance to the end of the work. The receptionist was friendly and understanding. The technician, Colton, was polite, diligent and efficient. Though he was tasked with doing extra work that was caused by the previous inefficient installation, he did not complain but expertly rectified the problem for the present and the future. When he finished, he made sure that the new faucet was working and took the time to advise me on what was done and how I could use it for best performance. I was very impressed by his work, tidiness and integrity. Will definitely recommend to friends and neighbours

My experience with Ideal Plumbing and Heating was top notch. They replaced an old sewer line in my yard , rerouted the water line and finished the job with prompt service. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and experienced. I recommend for any plumbing needs

I recently hired a plumber in Niagara and the experience was excellent from start to finish. They arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained everything clearly before getting to work. The repair was done efficiently and with great attention to detail, and everything was left clean once the job was finished.

What stood out most was the professionalism and honesty — no upselling, just straightforward, quality service at a fair price. It’s clear they take pride in their work.

Highly recommend to anyone in the Niagara area looking for a reliable and skilled plumber.
