My family and I have used James Heating for as long as I remember. My great Aunt Sherry used to worknfor them in their office. The workers are prompt and professional. They are knowledgeable and fair and they came out to Creswell for no extra charge. I have a feeling they are so responsible that they will figure out what is happening at the home I own and help me fix it. I haven't lived there for a year now. Whenever I had an issue with the head pump, James Heating was responsible and reliable. They are very friendly and helpful.

Larry the salesman was friendly but very professional, and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable that he was selling me a good product. Installation crew was professional and got the work done with what looked like a lot of experience. Also had my ducts cleaned, could tell the difference immediately. Also done professionally. I would highly recommend them.

Best experience ever! James Heating gave me a same day appointment right before a massive heatwave! Brendon was polite, knowledgeable and fast. My AC was fixed in under and hour and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

James heating and air conditioning installed a new air conditioner unit and serviced our heater. They also installed a Honeywell touch screen. Installation occurred approximately 2 years ago. Unfortunately, Our touch screen failed and I contacted their office today. I was told by the young lady on the phone that it was a 5 year warranty and we were still within the warranty period. They send out a Tech quickly. The Tech told me that there will be a diagnostic fee of a $105 plus his time. He basically said yes, it's not working, He would have to drive and pick up the new unit and return and install it. Installation took A total of 10 minutes at the most. Drive time for him was 20 to 30 minutes. I ask him what would happen if the touch screen fails again. He stated that it's under 5 year warranty. I ask if I would get another $130 fee for him to come on do this and he said yes. Very poor business model! I could buy a unit and install it myself for less money.

We reached out to 3 companies to clean our ducts and James Heating was the only one that returned our call.
Kayla gave me the exact cost, right on the phone, and got me scheduled.
Exactly on time, Jessie, came by. He not only cleaned our ducts, but took apart and cleaned the furnace, adjusted the dampers and was a pleasure to have over.
Absolutely no mess and our heat pump system is working much better now. -
My heating unit was not working correctly. I had someone come out and "fix" the problem for $ 165 and they said it was working However, when I got home from work, the heating unit was still not working. I had them come out the next day that they indicated that I would need to replace the fan on the unit for $700 and they said the whole unit was old and they could not guarantee that the unit would not fail even after replacing the fan.I was referred to another company from a reputable contractor, he came out and fixed it for $200 and my heating unit subsequently works great. I called the main office to speak to the manager, they took a message but no one bothered to call me back.I have given them 3 weeks to contact me.I want to warn the public that this company likes to rip people off.I am a educated consumer and the company that fixed it said that the $165 was a compete rip off. It was never fixed. If you want a reputable ethical company, don't go to this company.

When I called for a service appointment I made sure to ask about the filter and was told they have them on the truck. The tech arrived today and told us he had to go back to get our size filter and because it was bigger than standard it would be $68 upcharge. He came back telling us that it was actually $300 and it would have to be ordered. No filter was replaced. They still charged the full $150 and told us they "mis spoke" about the filter.
I appreciate upfront honest communication and I don't feel like I got that from this company. -
Great pricing but a very sketchy company. a couple days before the install I was told they don't have my units but they can do another brand if I want or I can wait a month more . The sales manager is the one that came out to bid a ductless install. The bid was on a hand written form and lacked information about the install. When I requested model numbers and such he just responded with model numbers. Most email responses were not full sentences. They don't warranty labor unless you pay more. When I emailed him that I was going to go with another company instead of his solutions he never emailed back. Basically the sales manager is as interested in selling their product as much as a gas station clerk cares about selling a candy bar. If the sales manager has zero enthusiasm about his own company imagine how the technicians will be? No thanks. I'd rather pay more and not have issues down the road.

I'm displeased with this company. I bought a mini split from them only 2 years ago to the day may 12th 2021. It seems like the system is now failing. I had a technician out today. I'm floored. The hourly service rate is 145 dollars. That's quite outrageous, in my opinion. The technician was very kind and courteous. He DIDN'T fix our problem though and stated, "I don't know how long it will take to get the part or how long it will take to fix it." I spent 145 dollars for the technician to maybe diagnose the issue and leave. Then, I received a quote for an additional 435.00 with no guarantee that the diagnosed issue was correct because, as stated by the tech, he wasn't honestly sure. My quote reported an error code of U0, but the daikin mini split threw an F3 code. I'm frustrated, to say the least.. and honestly, I'm not too sure what to do here. Almost a 4000.00 dollar mini split completely broken down 2 years to the day what an absolute waste.
Follow up: called and left a message after hours. I was told I'd be called Monday it is now Thursday, no call. I called into the office and spoke to a woman named Sam. I explained my situation and asked to proceed with getting my equipment fixed. I also asked if she could explain the no lemon guarantee to me. Her attitude changed, and she essentially said I'll have the service manager call you. She attempted to pretty much hang up on me at this point. I said hello? She said, "Oh yes. I said you didn't even ask me my name or phone number?. She said we have it and hung up. My interaction was surprising. I'm really shocked, honestly. We have heard nothing but great things about this company, and our initial interaction was wonderful, but the experiences after have not been professional and my mini split is still broken. -
I have used James Heating for years. When it came time to replace our heat pump system they were very good. The only problem was they were unable at the time to make system just run the fan only. I am asthmatic and need to filter the air when it is smoky from fires. The service tech called the office and requested someone come out with something to make this function work. I didn't hear from them after a couple of weeks so called. I was told they would have someone call me back. Another week and I called again. I was told they would get back to me. I still have not heard from anyone. I don't know what is happening but their service is not what it used to be. I guess they have my $7500 so they don't care.
**Update. I called again today. Told the lady that I still did not get a call back. If they were not calling because they aren't able to make the fan only option work that they could come pick up their equipment and refund my money. She put me on hold. Came back and said someone would be out today. Bradley showed up and fixed the problem. Thank you Bradley. I don't like being a grouch but if that is the only way you can get an answer then so be it. -
Jenny at the Salem office is very knowledgeable. She helped me identify a replacement control board for my aging furnace and was able to order the part quickly and at a competitive price.

I called a technician out for a service and a negative pressure issue the house was having. I told the technician that the house fills with smoke during fire season. Which I was told is normal. He ask me several times if my range exhaust fan and my direct vent fireplace was routed through my ducts, which I thought was strange. These two areas have a bad draft. I was than convinced that a duct cleaning was needed and was quoted $600 to $700 buy when I called today to see what was needed to prepare I was told it will be closer to 1k. I immediately canceled the service. I decided to open up the covers on my furnace to find a almost empty water bottle and nothing cleaned. I also didnt see the technician remove the cover on the ac unit to inspect. I am not sure what I paid $150 for. This definitely feels like a scam.

Andy came out to evaluate our central air system, which another vendor told us had a leaking cooling coil (circa 2021) and had recommended full replacement (ballpark cost $3300 -$7500). Our appointment was at a specific time and not a 2 hour window, and he was spot on time. He ran various tests and inspected our system. It turns out our expansion valve was not working and needed to be replaced (around $700). Andy explained in detail what he had done and was respectful and patient explaining when I didn't quite understand. James Heating and Air Conditioning is our new permanent vendor!

I am a retired builder, and I recently had Corey of James Heating & Air Conditioning repair, add to, and service our HVAC System. I also had the duct system examined with their camera/video equipment and they completely cleaned and sanitized the entire duct system - this was particularly successful!
I cannot thank Corey and Jackson enough. They went above and beyond: great communication, attitude, ability to diagnose issues, make repairs and enhance the entire system.
We were really treated well on pricing. James has earned our future business!
Great job - much appreciated! -
Corey did an amazing job cleaning our ducts. He gave a call 20 minutes prior to arrival. He talked with us about the plan and approximate time the job would take. It took a bit longer since I had a few more vents than I stated.
My husband and I really appreciated his good manners and steady efficient workmanship.
We would highly recommend James Heating and Air for future duct cleaning and HVAC work.

We have recently moved to a new house and one side of the house was colder. A James technician came and serviced our systems. $318 charge. He advised a vent evaluation and cleaning. Then vent men came, found no issues and cleaned vents. $1057 charge. I called Comfort Flow heating b/c of continued cold side. He adjusted damper, found gaping hole where vents were attached, collapsed duct and no filter!! Cold area finally repaired by Comfort Flow Heating. James Heating did not return my calls. Feels like a rip off and scam!!

I needed a furnace repair company so I did what almost everyone else does, I looked at all of the Eugene companies and chose the one with the best reviews! Of course, I immediately called James Heating and Cooling. Wow, was I glad I did. Sam was the first person I talked to and she was so nice, polite and helpful. They came out the very next day and the service person was Derrick (sp?). So nice, professional and he figured out the problem fairly fast and replaced the parts. He showed me the parts that needed replaced, explained it in layman's terms so I was able to understand. I would recommend them HIGHLY. Hopefully I don't have another problem, but if I do, James is who I will call and I will recommend to anyone. Rachel G

James heating and Air conditioning replaced our old furnace and added an all house AC a few years ago. We have only called them, until now, for their annual maintenance. Their people are very nice & efficient. Even the office people on the phone.
This week in the middle of a heat wave (in the upper 90’s) our AC stopped working. It was evening & I called & got their answering service who said they would try to reach the “on call” person. Within 1/2 hour we got a call from Jake who said he’d try to fit us in. Within the hour he called that he was on the way. Another 1/2 hour & we were getting AC again (problem with the condensation pump). I HIGHLY recommend them. Their service has been extraordinary. The cost, even after hours, was very reasonable. Technician Creighton Callison did a great job servicing my furnace and heat pump. Very personable and helpful.

Creighton Callison is always extremely professional, personable, and kind. James heating is definitely lucky to have an excellent employee like Creighton on their team.

After having a very disappointing experience with a company who's name starts with marsh and rhymes with coveralls, I called James heating and air. My main issue with my indoor ductless unit was that it was growing mold on the blower drum, and my technician Jake was very thorough getting everything cleaned. After finishing the needed work and getting everything back together, he also helped me with my problematic remote. I could not be happier with the service I received and will certainly be calling them again in the future should I need anymore help with my AC unit. Thank you again for the wonderful service (and reasonable price)!
