My heater went out, and with this cold snap I was worried I might be without it for at least a few days before they could get to me. I was surprised that they could send someone out right away since I am a preferred customer because I have a service contract with them. The technician was here about 30 minutes later and had me up and running very quickly. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable.
Every time I have used their services I have been more than satisfied with their professionalism and service.

Brent was knowledgeable, informative, and pleasant to deal with. From the time he arrived to the time he left, he was professional, and I appreciated the information he provided me. He completed a full service on our heater and AC unit, fixed the problem with our heater, and gave me some tips on caring for the system. With the service plan, the repair was free. Excellent all-around service.

Annual service was completed by Philip from Clawson heating. this company always goes above and beyond; it was another outstanding service and will continue to use them.

I can’t say enough about our first experience with Clawson! We bought a “membership” for furnace tune-up & cleaning. This includes two annual tune-ups, discounted parts & service, and prioritized, same-day service calls (even nights/weekends). Our service by Justin was outstanding and even included tiny details like changing the batteries in the thermostat. I highly recommend this company and service package!

Update 5/12/2023 - We did have Clawson replace our system last year. We were pleased. They came out on Thursday, 4/27/23 to provide a one-year checkup and service on the system. Everything seemed to be fine. The next day was the hottest day of the year so far - the first over 80. We open windows in the morning to get fresh cool air, then close up. Our house is well insulated, so the AC did not kick in until after 6pm. We noticed it was running a long time, and then that the outdoor ac unit was not running. We called, but had to leave a voice mail. No one called back. I reached them on Monday morning. They came out to check, and it miraculously was working fine. They let me know that they have been purchased by another company and currently have no after hours service available. So we just have to hope it keeps working. Today is Friday, and the next really hot day. Our AC turned on at 7:30 pm, except once again the outdoor condenser unit does not turn on. And again, no after hours service is available. I am sad to say, we are no longer happy customers.

Original Review:
We have used a different company for the last 10 years. Our furnace was serviced at the end of September and we were told that everything was fine. Two weeks later, our furnace would not turn on. A technician came and found a lot of rust (which had never been mentioned by any prior tech) and said we would need to either do a major repair or replacement. We ended up with a truly ridiculous quote on replacement. We called Clawson for a second opinion. Brent checked everything thoroughly. After a couple hours, he had it fixed. The system's air intake was stuffed full of leaves - something our previous company never checked in 10 years! We talked about how best to keep tabs on the rust issue, what to look for, etc. We will need a new furnace at some point, but not right now. When we do, we will definitely call Clawson!

We found Clawson Heating and Air Conditioning on the NW Natural Gas website, and we are so glad we chose Clawson over all the other recommendations. Phillip showed up on time, wearing a mask and ready to get the furnace running again. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional; didn't try to sell us a new furnace -like others have- and left us ready to face the upcoming winter with a working heating system.
We could not recommend this business enough, and will share our experience with our neighbors. Thank you, kindly, for the wonderful service!!

I called after hours on a Friday evening about 630 and an a technician. Returned my call within 20 minutes. He was at my house by 7 PM. Very courteous very knowledgeable. Repaired my heat pump, and I had hit again by 9 o’clock. I highly recommend Clawson, and in the future will consider having them be my furnace, air conditioning company.

Update 12/8/22: Alex and his team installed the new package in record time!! I am super impressed with their knowledge and professionalism!! I want to give Clawson and their staff a hundred gold stars. Just fantastic service!! I am extremely grateful.

Clawson installed a new furnace for me on 1/18/2022. I had gone 74 days with no heat. My home warranty company and their assigned contractor is a separate issue. Clawson came to my rescue and rushed my install. The office staff did a great job in setting up the job. The service technicians Scott and Reuben were on time, professional, and went above expectations. I have put them at the top of my recommendation list. Their commitment to customer service is 110%. I've used Clawson for a while now. They earned my business years ago, when I had a furnace at my rental house go down in winter. They took great care of me, came out same evening, didn't gouge me. Fixed it right the first time. Since then, I've had them do all my service and maintenance. Priced well, good communication, respectful of my home and always punctual. Thank you!

This company deserves 10 stars! From start to finish the Clawson team was topnotch. We came to the table with a multitude of issues. Great experience working with Clawson Heating. The office was very responsive and we were able to get an appointment quickly for AC repair. Everyone we worked with was friendly. Philip gave us great advice and tips to keep our AC running.

The blower motor went out on my furnace and stopped working over the weekend. Monday morning I called Clawson Heating and they were able to send someone out the next morning to diagnose the issue. Within a couple of days they were able to order a replacement and have it installed. By Friday I was back up and running. My family and I are grateful for the fast turnaround. Philip was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I would highly recommend him and Clawson Heating.

I believe I have never experienced customer service as good as Clawson puts out. Yesterday they changed out our heat pump and furnace combination. What a delightful group of people to work with.
We had 3 companies come out for an estimate. John Turner was everything you could hope for in a salesman. Very knowledgeable and on top of every question. This company is a definite keeper. Kudos to Clawson!

I have an older heat pump system that I inherited when moving in 6 months ago. Clawson came out the day after I called. They placed the home on "Emergency Mode", so I would be warm. They advised what parts needed to be ordered & scheduled their return. A few days later, they came out & did the repair. Their technician Philip is wonderful! He's very thorough & polite. I highly recommend Clawson for all your HVAC needs. I will be calling them again for future needs.

Clawson from my call this morning till the tech leaving has been excellent. My very old furnace quit and though I have not had any previous dealings with Clawson they came out the same day. The technician was courteous and worked diligently to try and fix my furnace which the company who made the furnace had gone out of business in the 80's. I appreciated the effort but I had known the furnace was on borrowed time. The technician took numerous pictures and videos to get an accurate quote on installing a new furnace in a very old home. Before the technician left he loaned me an electric heater of which I am very grateful for in this Dec weather. Would highly recommend Clawson Heating.

From booking any service to the on-site technicians, my experience using Clawson was incredibly professional, polite, and friendly. Technicians arrived exactly at the quoted time, were very respectful of the home, occupants, and COVID precautions. Work was completed in the scheduled time with no issues. Our technician even took the time to point out we had been charged for something we didn't need and deducted the price on the spot. Following installation we received a thorough walkthrough of our new system and the areas in which they worked were left cleaner than when they arrived. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommended, even without the warranty we received we would be returning for any future maintenance needs.

Customer service at all levels was fantastic. Angel was pleasant and helpful. Philip was professional, and explained his work in detail. The repair was done quickly in the middle of cold weather and holidays I've been a homeowner since 1987. This was one of the best home repair experiences I've ever had.

Update: after my post below, I had 2 other companies look at my furnace and both (including the one that did the initial install over a decade ago) determined that the circuit board needed replaced. I spoke with Brent* at Clawson’s several times and he stood by their diagnostics even with the furnace working fine for years and up again with the new board. I had to work with him several times to get a full refund - they charged me for parts and labor in addition to the initial diagnostic even though nothing was fixed. The front desk staff was always courteous, professional and prompt, but I’m not satisfied with the diagnostic that took hours and determined a non-existent problem, nor the length and process to get a refund.
Will not use again, sorry.

Phillip came out to diagnose my furnace issue and was not only promptly here at 8am (8-10am window), he was professional and courteous as well. He wore booties over his shoes, removed them when exiting and replaced when entering. I really appreciate that he took his time and looked at all aspects of the furnace.
Mine is a pretty complex unit, so the work was an in-depth process. Turns out that the unit’s ventilation was not installed correctly. Although I still do not have heat, I am happy with my service because I know that he did everything he could do. Instead of charging me for Clawson to reinstall the vents, he informed me that the company that installed it should be able to re-do the work to factory specifications at no charge. If not, I am confident that Clawson Heating has a team for installations that is just as fantastic as the service I received from Phillip today was. Thank you Clawson!

Another great experience in dealing with Clawson Heating and AC! Today, Justin came out for the fall/winter preventive maintenance on our furnace and heat pump. He was courteous, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Shoe covers and face mask were in place throughout his visit and he took care of things as if they were his own. Very pleased with the service.

Also, a nod to the young lady in the front office at Clawson. She did a fantastic job of explaining what I needed to do in order to defrost my heat pump compressor when it iced up in mid December. Problem solved within a couple of hours due to her good advice!

This is a company that puts customer service out front.

I've been dealing with Clawson Heating & A/C for years. They are a great company with wonderful employees. From scheduling appointments to having technicians come out; I've never had a problem with them at all. They have been cleaning my furnace for a long time, and do so professionally. I like being on their service-plan - it gives me peace of mind.
I highly recommend them - they are a great local company.

Update Dec. '19: I had them install a new furnace last year. I've been very pleased with that process and just had it serviced for the first time. It all is working just as it should. Their people are always a pleasure to work with.

Clawson Heating & A/C installed our furnace and central air about 10 years ago. We have had maintenance calls and just recently a service/repair call.
These guys are awesome! From the initial call to schedule an appointment through the service technician waving as he drives away, you know that you're in good hands. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable. Very fair.
