In the middle of the 1000 year heat wave, my AC decided to quit. Cory took the time to talk me through the diagnostic steps, repair, and told me where to go to find the $15 part I needed. I was able to get my system up and running in time to keep the candles from melting thanks to his expert knowledge and advice. I'm a customer for life. Highly recommended.

Cory helped us out immensely in the recent heat dome wave in Portland. our A/C blew out; we called Cory and he responded promptly by providing the part needed and was flexible to provide the part at a location close to our place. Though he was booked out to actually do the fix, he provided us the part and the directions so that we could get the unit back up and running. He'll be the first to call the next time we have any HVAC issue.

My A/C went down during a heat wave in my area. I called a dozen companies and they were all booked out for a month or more. Cory Tanner came out the next morning. It seemed like it would be an entire A/C system replacement, but turned out to only be a capacitor for the blower motor. He didn't just fix that and call it good though. He finished checking the rest of the system, topped off the refrigerant and was done. It has worked perfectly since. He was honest and only fixed the inexpensive broken item instead of pushing for an A/C system replacement. Great experience!

During the heatwave our air conditioner went out. Cory was able to fit us into his busy schedule and fixed our problem. Overall our experience was speedy, professional, and his service was excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my HVAC needs. We appreciate you Cory thanks again 🙏

It has been a roller coater with my A/C system during this summer. Somehow the main furnace duct which is cramped in a really confined crawl space got broken, so my house was getting almost no cool flow, everything was leaking into my crawl space. After a tremendous frustration trying to find someone willing to come and go inside the crawl space I was able to find Cory. He is a big tall guy and he right away told me that over the phone that going into the crawl space for him was not going to be easy, so amazingly gave me references about other contractors with possible short guys that could fit into the confined space. I was not able to find that short guy so Cory squeezed me on a busy Thursday for him, stepped in and went into the crawl space and assessed the situation. He is indeed a tall guy and I thought he was not going to fit at all but he did not hesitate.
We ended up cutting a small hole in the floor to access the broken flexible duct and fixed it with the minimum effort and cost savings.
Very next day my house was able to keep 70C when outside was 100C.
After 2 weeks of complete cool summer happiness, last night my A/C/furnace panel stopped working and the house is worse than a sauna.
So called Cory, busy as always but always answers and guided me through some trouble shooting and where to get some parts to expedite a possible fix since he was super booked these days. It ended up that my control board is fried and the transformer overloaded and failed.
So I need a new control board and Cory has been amazing helping me out om finding this control board and getting my AC working again.
This guy is amazing. technically capable and I would say "customer oriented" but I think it is more than that, it is a person that likes to help people, whether he makes a business or not.
Other big companies charged me by just calling them to make an appointment and they called me the day before to cancel appointments.
For me is tremendously important when a contractor takes the time to explain you with detail and answer dumb questions, so you feel you are getting all the information needed to make a decision and not someone just trying to force you into a business and pick into your wallet.
Cory has shown to be a really kind and patient person that deals perfectly with customers in complicated situations and also complicated and picky/technical'ish customers like me :-).
If you are in need of AC/furnace stuff, give Cory a call, based on my experience, I don't think you will regret it and you may find the AC guy you will stick with forever. -
Cory did a great job helping repair our old home furnace. We were without heat for a few days and the weather was starting to get colder. He quickly identified the problem, and we got our heat back to our house. Thank you so much!

Woke up today with no AC in the middle of a July heatwave. Called Cory but not expecting him to show up for days. A few hours later he texts me and say be there shortly. Fixed my AC and now my house is cool again. Very recommended and again thank you Cory!!!

I was in a very desperate situation, the weather was freezing. The day before Easter & the coldest April in Oregon in over 50 years. It's a weekend :Saturday, no other heating repair companies were answering their phones. My brand new tenants, who just moved in, were very cold all night and have young children, there very first night there. I Called Corey and he was booked for the day and more, he went out of his way added a extra emergency stop in a heavy rain hail storm and was so honest and had the repair part on his van that was a furnace ignitor that broke and he replaced and saved the day/night. I highly recommend Corey of Tanner Heating if your heater stops working any day of the week!!!!!

Brian, the knowledgeable individual who showed up at my property, was very enlightening. He responded to all of my inquiries regarding the HVAC system. He even proposed to assist with any other HVAC related tasks around the premises. I was pleasantly taken aback as I had never encountered any service provider's staff in Hillsboro extending such assistance.

Recently, my spouse and I collaborated with a local hvac company to install a gas insert as a replacement for our old wood-burning fireplace. Melvin and Brian from the company came to assess the work needed and offered us bids for several options. I am grateful that they gave us a practical bid, incorporating the add-ons we had discussed, ensuring no unexpected surprises on the final bill. Melvin was in charge of managing the project, he was very responsive and checked in regularly to ensure we were satisfied with their work and progress. The installation team was highly professional and efficient, doing an excellent job of routing the gas line to the fireplace via a much smaller hole in the sheetrock for accessing the back of the chimney than I had anticipated. I was expecting a cut from floor to ceiling, but was pleasantly surprised to find only a small opening near floor level, which was easily patched over. We also employ this hvac company to service our gas furnace and have been extremely satisfied with their maintenance team. They have consistently met our expectations every time we've collaborated with them, earning our trust for future projects in Hillsboro.

pleased with how things went. miller & sons hvac & gas responded the same day to our call about a problem with our air conditioner. brian was meticulous, courteous, and secured the installation of new units for the following day. the pair that came to install were friendly and got the job done quickly. before they left, they made sure the new hvac system was working correctly, tidied up, and answered any queries we had. the follow-up call from melvin the next day was also a nice touch. contented.

I secured an appointment with Miller & Sons HVAC & Gas in less than a day after making a call, without any emergency fees applied. Brian from the company gave me a call before his arrival, showed up punctually, and didn't attempt to promote unnecessary services or products. He was all about addressing the specific HVAC issues that I needed help with in Hillsboro.

My beach house's ac broke down and so I asked for recommendations in a local online group. Most of the responses pointed me towards a certain ac repair company, so I decided to give them a ring. It was a Saturday morning and I had already contacted two other firms before asking for suggestions. Brian answered my call, took down my details, and dispatched a technician for a check-up. He provided me with a reasonable quote and my entire ac system was replaced by Monday. He kept me updated via text about the crew's arrival, the ongoing process, and when they finished the job. One of Brian's team members, melvin, also guided me on how to set up my nest thermostat. Later that evening, brian reached out to me to ensure the temperature was dropping and checked in again the following morning to make sure everything was functioning properly. I'll definitely hold onto his contact for any future ac repair needs. Thanks to the amazing ac repair team.

my furnace's motor gave up on a very hot day, but luckily, the furnace repair service managed to send someone on the same day, making it to my home by 8pm. i was a bit skeptical that the problem could be resolved considering the late hour and uncertainty about the issue. However, melvin, the worker, assured me that he had a truck full of motors and in less than an hour, he had my furnace up and running again. the service was fast, surprisingly inexpensive, and he even tidied up the huge mess before leaving. honestly, i couldn't have asked for a better furnace repair experience. i would definitely recommend!!

Brian from Miller & Sons HVAC & Gas came over to investigate what was wrong with our air conditioning system. He instantly identified the problem when he found a massive block of ice on the interior coils. Furthermore, the external compressor's electrical switch had burnt out! It was a terrifying situation, but we were relieved to have a dependable technician like Brian. Always ensure that your painters or anyone else don't block your AC supply vents while the system is running. This could lead to a severe scenario that could potentially damage your system or even spark a fire, as we learned in Hillsboro.

brian from miller & sons hvac & gas was both knowledgeable and friendly! he provided top-notch service when my warranty company couldn't assist immediately. i was quickly connected with brian after a call to the office, where melvin promptly directed my concern. upon reaching my place, brian quickly identified the issue with my heater and presented various repair options. he also took the time to explain the heating systems to me and offered advice on how to enhance energy efficiency. his suggestions are something i'm definitely considering. the entire heater repair process was seamless, from beginning to end. i'm really satisfied with the service provided by brian and i won't hesitate to engage him for future major projects. i would also strongly recommend others to seek their services, be it for minor or major projects.

Are you in need of a skilled and honest heater repair professional? I've had a truly satisfying experience with all my dealings with Brian, for my heating requirements. The initial issue was a freezing refrigerator, which resulted in its inability to cool my food. I reached out to Brian, who after asking several pertinent questions, was able to correctly identify the issue and provide a solution over the phone. He didn't need to make a house call at that point, saving me the expense of an after-hours service call, especially as it was a weekend evening. Brian did suggest that he or another technician should come by during regular work hours the following week to further investigate why the refrigerator had frozen. Unlike other companies I had contacted earlier that evening, Brian offered me expert advice over the phone for free, effectively fixing my refrigerator at no cost! I later had Brian come over to inspect my heater, ensuring it was prepared for the coming winter in Hillsboro. He confirmed that everything was clean and functioning properly. The fee for his services was less than what some companies charge just for a house visit. Brian was not only courteous and accommodating, but also highly skilled and efficient. He took the time to carefully explain everything. His honesty and integrity are commendable. I'll definitely be keeping his contact info and will rely on him for all my future heater repair needs. I was thoroughly impressed. Just putting it out there!

Today, we had a truly pleasant encounter with Brian. Discovering that we probably needed to replace two air conditioning units might not typically be considered pleasant, but the entire process was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We received a photo of Brian prior to his arrival, ensuring we knew who to expect. He conducted a thorough inspection of the units, explaining every single detail, both good and bad. Brian was great at answering all our queries, providing written details about available AC units, options, and costs. We felt included in his team and he was committed to ensuring our satisfaction with the decision. We're grateful for our experience with this AC repair service, a relationship we've cherished for more than two decades. Cheers to Brian!

We've been relying on Miller & Sons HVAC & Gas for our heating system needs for quite a while now. Their communication is top-notch, always punctual for scheduled appointments, and they consistently go the extra mile to ensure everything is done properly. When we initially moved into our home, the heating system was in a poor state due to previous neglect. Brian and Melvin, as well as their team, dedicated over four hours to thoroughly clean and restore the system. We've subscribed to their annual maintenance package and, to date, our main boiler has not required any repairs. They also smoothly and easily handled the installation of some new components, like an above-ground oil tank, for us.

the staff, technicians, and management here are true professionals, and their customer service is excellent! the team went above and beyond when our heater stopped working during a cold snap. i called on a friday, and they had a technician, melvin, out to check the unit the same day. the blower motor had gone bad, and melvin offered to set up a portable heater for us as a temporary fix. i got a call letting me know that the new motor might take a few weeks to arrive, but since we were going out of town for a bit, that was okay. they worked hard and got the new motor in much sooner—installed and finished by 9:30 am the following friday. this gave us peace of mind knowing our home would stay warm while we were away. we also use their services for regular heater maintenance and have had them install a ductless mini-split system in our sunroom. they always answer our questions and make sure we’re happy with their work. brian even stopped by after the mini-split installation to go over all the features with us. we highly recommend their heater repair services!
