Rubi Heating and Cooling came out and installed a new furnace and heat pump. They fit me in quickly and did a great job! Everyone on the team was a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond to help me find materials that qualified for Tigard's incentive program. I highly recommend them!

Called Rubi last week to set up a routine maintenance for our furnace before any nasty weather sneaks up on us. We have used Rubi several times now & really love their service. Alberto arrived right on time and got straight to work once he knew where everything was. He was extremely polite, friendly & professional and got the job done quickly plus kept everything very clean. Really love that. Thanks again Rubi. Well done.

Hopefully their install and services are better than their drivers. Just had one of their drivers tailing me as I was going speed limit down oak st. In Hillsboro. He chose to swerved behind me cutting the car next to us off and speeding past us, in and out of cars down a busy Main Street. Pretty embarrassing to be erratically driving with a company branded vehicle.

Overall, I would not recommend this company. They were not experienced or professional when it came to servicing our HVAC system.

We live in a new build community and got a recommendation from our local Facebook group for this company. We called for a basic service and after they left, we heard a hissing/leaking sound coming from the mini split unit downstairs. Before the service we had no issues at all with our hvac system.

We called them back out and they investigated to see if they could find the source of the leak. They looked at all units. They determined there was a refrigerant leak because the levels were a lot lower than they should be. We said it sounded like it was coming from the mini split. They used a leak detector and it was clearly beeping very rapidly when they checked the mini split but they said it wasn’t leaking.

They refilled the refrigerant and then said they would come back later to measure how much had leaked out.

When they came back out, the owner of the company also was there.
They said they could not find a leak inside the units but thought it was from the line set and that they would not know for sure unless they could cut into the siding of the house outside. The owner told me there is a nail in the siding that looks like it may be the cause, when the builders were putting up the siding they could have nailed into the hvac line set, and when they serviced it, the nail may have been moved off the hose causing a leak. We asked why the sounds would be coming from the downstairs unit only and they said because it’s all connected. He said there was no leak to the mini split downstairs.

We were concerned because we didn’t want them to cut into the siding, plus if this is a builders issue we want the builder to handle it. So we said we would think about it and the owner said to not take too long because if all the refrigerant leaks out the compressor could blow.

We called the home builder who started an investigation immediately and requested reports from Rubi Heating and Cooling. They took several days to create a report and I had to give their information to the builder to have them call and follow up to finally receive the report.

Between inspections I asked if Rubi would come out to fill the refrigerant, we were trying to mitigate our damages and didn’t want additional damage to be done to the unit if it was low on gas, as the owner had warned. They took several days again to get back to me before agreeing to come out. When the tech came out he said now it looks like it’s leaking out of the mini split as well, and he tried to tape or glue something and was not able to fix it. He said it could be the line set or a nail hole like they said earlier because the leak is not due to the unit itself it has to be in the wall.

Our builder sent someone out to do a full inspection and he stated the nail they are referencing is just an air bubble. He said it was a very obvious leak to the mini split and showed us with the leak tester-same results as when they checked it initially..when Rubi said there was no leak. He said there was damage to an aluminum part inside that could have been caused when they cleaned the unit. The leak was coming from this damaged area, it will have to be replaced in order for it to work properly. He found no other leaks in the hvac system. He said it was very obvious and he’s not sure how they missed it. He showed videos and the gas is hissing out of one specific damaged area.

I’m not sure why Rubi couldn’t diagnose the leak after coming out 3 times after the initial service, and on the 2nd visit with the owner why they were adamant that it was not leaking from the mini split when all the signs were there. It seemed like they were trying to steer us away from the possibility that they did something wrong. I’d rather think they were inexperienced rather than malicious but either way I would absolutely not recommend them in the future.

We had an estimate from another HVAC company to have AC installed and then never heard back when we tried to schedule the work. We contacted Rubi and their crew and office staff were on point and great with communication! We had an initial visit to assess our needs and it was pointed out that our furnace was on its way out, something the first company we contacted didn't even mention. There was no pressure on us from Rubi to replace it, they simply brought it up to make sure they set up our new AC unit in such a way so as to avoid paying twice for the same work whenever we got around to replacing the furnace. We ended up having Rubi do both the AC unit and furnace, and we couldn't be happier. Their pricing was less than the initial contractor we spoke to and their crew was professional, clean, polite and friendly! They even took their shoes off to go up and down the stairs to/from our attic entry - something we didn't ask them to do but really appreciated. They left our home as clean as they found it, and stayed late on a Friday to get the work done. The office staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive. Rubi breaks the contractor stereotypes in all the best ways and really came through for us, saving us and our pets from an 80-90F townhome! We went from struggling to fall asleep in the heat to adding extra blankets to the bed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I work in the residential construction industry and regularly interact with subcontractors for the jobs we manage - I can say with confidence Rubi HVAC is as good as they come.

Had an issue with the furnace and called them as they were local to the house. Got an appointment the next morning and was able to diagnose the issue and get it fixed same day. Great people to work with and great pricing. Stephanie was a pleasure to speak to and very accomodating.

Hillsboro's own Rubi's to the rescue! Furnace died; Rubi showed up same day for evaluation. Said my AC was fine. Furnace replaced at a reasonable fee by end of business the next day (both events involved a bit of overtime I'm sure). Fast, efficient, pleasant, reasonable, capable, professional, clean, nice people/good job.

We couldn’t ask for a better experience! Rubi helped us out on short notice with a small duct issue last year and I promised I’d call them with our next HVAC repair. I’m glad we did! When our furnace quit working, I got a next day appointment. Office staff and repair crew couldn’t have been better! Problem was diagnosed and repaired in a few hours, and the bill was very reasonable. Repair crew was efficient and kept us posted on their progress. Before our appointment, staff even called back and offered to loan us a space heater. Who gives customer service like THAT anymore? Rubi does!

Just had the Rubi team out to service my furnace and very old A/c unit. We bought our house back on October and it sat vacant for a while so they were in dire need of upkeep. Oscar and the other techs were through and very nice. They did an excellent job cleaning and educating me on the best ways to maintain our systems in the meantime. Our A/c unit is from 1990 and still runs. Oscar was super upfront about the upkeep and the likely life left (not much) but confirmed it was still in working order. They did a great job and we will definitely be using them in the future.

The most competitive pricing for regular maintenance on my air conditioner and aging furnace. All communication was super prompt and very easy, I definitely appreciated the text reminders and heads up when the technician was on his way. Friendly. Not pushy I would recommend them.

I had a great experience with Elevate Heating & Cooling and couldn’t be happier with their service. From the initial phone call to the completion of the job, everything was smooth and professional.

Chase, who answered my call, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I explained that I needed someone to check my furnace quickly, and he managed to schedule a technician within an hour. His communication was excellent, and I appreciated the text confirmation that included the names of the technicians and their expected arrival time. It made the entire process stress-free.

When Thomas and Ken arrived, they were courteous and knowledgeable. I had several questions about maintaining my furnace properly, and they took the time to answer everything thoroughly. They conducted a detailed inspection and identified a part that would need replacement in the near future, giving me the option to schedule a follow-up if needed. I was impressed by their transparency, as they documented everything with photos for reference and clearly explained the pricing upfront. Thomas even shared a helpful tip on finding a good deal for a thermostat upgrade, which I really appreciated. Their professionalism and work ethic stood out.

Overall, the service exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend Elevate Heating & Cooling to anyone looking for reliable and honest furnace maintenance.

Thomas is a very nice and friendly person. I really enjoyed talking to him. I bombarded Thomas with questions and information, but he didn't get upset or impatient with me with all the info I was sharing about my issue. Thomas did a great job finding the problem and fixing it. Thomas was honest with his information he was giving me about the problem with my AC equipment. At the end, Thomas fixed the problem and when he left my AC was working fine. Thank you Thomas for giving us back the comfort of having cool air in our home
