Wayne Gassman came out to repair the freezer in my garage. He had to come back 2 more times because of unforeseen complications. The price was more than reasonable and he did not charge me for the 2 follow up visits. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely call Gassman again and would recommend him to anyone. A customer for life. Thank you- Geoff

Our fridge went out only a year and a half after purchasing it brand new from Lowe’s. We didn’t get the warranty, our fault, but we needed to fix the fridge ASAP!! We were referred to Gassman Appliance and the small business feel never went away! You talk to the same person each time you call. They know your time is valuable.
Wayne and his co worker Chris both made trips to the house to clear up the problem. They were both extremely nice and efficient with our time and theirs.

Our refrigerator's temperature started going up and down after a week long power outage. I contacted the business, and Chris got back to me the very next day. Unfortunately after two part replacements he hadn't repaired the problem. Finally we figured out that the ice maker was causing the problem, and we decided not to replace it . Chris did his best, though. Overall we think their visit charges were reasonable.

Wayne came out to repair my refrigerator the same day I called him. He got the right part the next morning and made the repair, saving me from a weekend without a fridge. He was courteous, professional, timely, knowledgeable, and worked around my schedule so I didn't have to miss any work. I don't often take the time to write a review, but he earned it!

cant speak on their business but I saw two gentlemen from this company pull over and help a drunken homeless passed out in the street. love the love and integrity i saw from them. Cheers

I called Gassman Family Appliance Repair because the door stop on my LG refrigerator was broken and the door would bang into the cabinets behind. The repair company asked me to send them a picture of the model number and the broken part, which I did. They said that they would get back to me the next day. The next day I did not hear from them, so I called them the following day. They told me that they could come out and take a look.

Once they arrived they proceeded to adjust the front legs of the unit so that it tilted back quite significantly. One of the servicemen kept fiddling with the door using the broken piece of doorstop to try to keep the door from flinging open. I told him he didn't need to do that as I wanted to replace the broken part with a new door stop. The other serviceman went out to the van, and I thought he was calling to order the part. He came back into the house and presented me with a bill for $149. I told him that I would not pay because they had not made the repair and fixed the problem. They told me that was not fair because what if the part was not available? I asked if they called about the part and they said that they hadn't. I asked why they hadn't called to see if the part was available before they came out.

Once they left, I called about the part and was told I would receive it within 7-10 days. The price was $10.95 plus shipping. I called the repair service back and said that I had ordered the part and that if they came back to install it once it was here, I would pay them the $149. The next day they texted me to say that they were not willing to come back for the repair.

Now my refrigerator is not plumb (very tilted), the door is not fixed, and I can't open my freezer door all of the way. Both of these servicemen seem very incompetent and untrustworthy. I feel that they tried to scam me into paying a service fee for nothing. I was never told about a service fee before they came out.

So I hired this company to fix my ice maker which was leaking water and not working. I wanted to hire a small business and the repairman was super friendly but I had a terrible experience. They came out to my house and in short time pulled my icemaker out and defrosted an ice jam at the intake. Charged me $230. So it worked for a couple of weeks and then it happened again. This time we melted the ice jam and called them back. They came out, and did not charge me, but were mad that is was working ( which I told them BEFORE they came)and told me to call if it broke again. The next day, it was leaking. At that point they said it was a different problem. Really????! But they agreed to come back, I blocked off the time and they did not come and told me they needed to get a replacement part. 3 weeks later, no word and I reached out asking when they thought they were coming and for them to provide an estimate. They said they could not provide an estimate as it depended on time. When I said it was essential to have an estimate so we could decide if we wanted to pursue it they told me it wasn’t worth pursuing. Clearly done with us. Awful service and expensive for what they did- just melt an ice jam and not even consider there might be a problem that caused the jam!

Gassman Appliance Repair came and fixed my refrigerator which was leaking water. They also recommended that the front be raised and I said OK. The fridge has small wheels that makes it easy to pull the fridge out from the wall, these wheels are used to raise or level the unit. The repairman broke this mechanism, striped the threads. He asked if I have any wood blocks to put under the fridge to hold it up? I gave him some. I told him 3 times that I want this fixed. He said that I don't need to move the fridge very often.
Well it has been over a month and my fridge is still sitting on wood. I am going to call Riegelmann's to get it fixed.
The previous owner, Wayne never would have treated a customer like this!

NEW OWNERS. DO NOT USE! I called this company to work on my washer that wasn't always spinning properly. They came out, looked at it and declared it was a "bad transmission" without even touching it. They said that was $700 to fix. They could sell me a new refurbished washer for $1,000 and take this one off my hands. My washer was 3 years old. It didn't feel right. I wanted a second opinion. I paid them $129 and they went on there way. They were friendly and polite.

I called Appliance Wizard. They came out and for $99 and an $8.00 belt, my washer is back working like new. I am happy I got a second opinion. It felt like Gassman was just trying to sell refurbished machines and take mine to "refurbish" for $8.00 and sell to someone else for $1,000. NOT GOOD BUSINESS. Appliance Wizard will be my new service company.

Very efficient, explained as they went, used quality manufacturer’s parts, were comfortable with me calling my husband, and even gave a discount for my mother, who is 93. GREAT service. “

Both mom and I have only called on Gassman Appliance Repair since the mid 90's for all of our appliance repair needs. We have had excellent service from both Wayne and Abraham and their pricing is more than fair, and the problem fixed right the first time.

They sure don't make things like they used to. Which makes businesses like Gassman all the more valuable. They came out quickly and got my dryer working better than it has in years! Extremely nice, respectful and very important HONEST! Thank you for such a wonderful job as always. Home visits at a reasonable rate.

(8-2024) Fridge stopped keeping things cold, so we had someone from Gassman come out. They changed out the capacitor and said it fixed the compressor, which I stated was working before they arrived. I knew immediately it wasn't the problem, but he charged me just shy of $300 for a total of 1 hour at my house (30 min actually touching the fridge) and left. Next day, fridge wasn't cold enough.. 43-50 degrees with no change, EVEN when trying coldest setting. Repair guy said it was fixed and that he didn't know what to tell me. I tried in so many ways to tell him that this fridge kept things ((much)) colder before it stopped working and this... Wasn't fixed. After 25 min of arguing on the phone, he never offered to address my concerns and fix the fridge and said it was within safe temp levels for food, which is COMPLETELY not true. Google it.... Anyway, after 2 weeks I never received my money back and I believe he blocked my phone # so I called on my wife's phone and he eventually returned the money and that's why they got 2 stars. Fridge temps kept climbing to 82 degrees days later! He sure was right and fixed it like a professional.... I ended up learning how to fix fridges, which isn't very hard at all and did it by myself for $29. It's a cool 35 right now on setting 5 out of 7 and back to where it was before it started to fail. I (believe) this company was bought out recently and the previous owner was OK, but the new owner was condescending and unwilling to understand my concerns and simple facts on my fridge that I clealry know well. I'd avoid this company like the plague.

Called and left message on Sunday evening around 8PM when we noticed that we had a leak with our dishwasher. Octavio called me on Monday morning at 8:00AM and was at our house by 12:00Noon. He diagnosed the issue, fixed the problem and we were back up and running in under 30 minutes. No more leaks, no mess, works like it is brand new again. Amazing customer service, response time and fit us in his very busy schedule enroute to another call. Best service tech I have even had and will work with them again for any appliance repair needs I have.

Called them when my oven went out. Octavio was great! I appreciated him asking questions to figure out if it was an electrical problem before he came out to look at the appliance.

this was one of the best experiences i have ever had calling in a repair company. they were able to come out same day and fix the problem with my oven. the gentleman who came out was both kind and professional. I highly recommend this company you will not go wrong hiring them!

I had an issue with my cooktop not heating properly, and a couple of burners were not working. I contacted this company for repair, and they responded quickly.

The technician arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it efficiently. Everything was explained clearly, and the repair was completed the same day.

Now the cooktop is working perfectly again. Professional, reliable service — I highly recommend them for cooktop repair.
