This guy knows his stuff. I've used him many times. More often, he has the part with him.

Probably shouldn’t speed through school zones in a company vehicle. Disgraceful.

He came out and repaired the machine with the parts in his hand. Then I needed one other part for something else and he met me after hours on my way to the grocery store.
    Thank you for your service.

This is our second experience with Wayne and Chris. They are both professional and respond quickly. My freezer is doing it's job again, fixed the same day I called! Thanks Chris!

When I called to schedule an appointment I was told that they don't normally repair Fisher paykel washers unless it was something minor. The repair guys were here about 15 minutes. They told me " It's dead and we can't fix it". When I asked what the problem was I was told it had a blown fuse and a short in the control panel. I'm still baffled on why they couldn't fix either of the problems. They sounded like minor problems to me. It cost me $99.50 for them to tell me what's wrong. Didn't give me an invoice or anything to show another repairman what the problem is so the company who is coming out to fix it has to diagnose it all over again so there goes another $100. to rediagnose it. Not very professional that I didn't get an invoice.

Great service! I'd been meaning to call someone to fix my stupid stove. One of the burners would go on full heat with no warning and burn stuff. It was dangerous, really. I called Wayne and he was here within a couple hours and had it fixed in minutes.

These guys are great, Wayne came out and figured out the problem with our double oven. It turned out to be a weak circuit breaker ($14.00), I was happy to pay their service charge and not have to purchase a $3000.00 set of double ovens.

We called about a clothes dryer problem at a rental we own in Sandy and Chris came out the next morning. He arrived right on time, quickly figured out the problem, and the bill was very reasonable. Great company!

Mr. Gassman came out to fix my fridge himself. Charged me $125 to run a few cents worth of bleach through the water line to fix the gross-tasting water. The fix lasted all of two weeks then the water started tasting bad again, which means I was drinking contaminated water for two weeks and the bleach was just masking the taste. Super cool.

A quick Internet search later and I'm pretty sure the problem is a bad valve that needs to be replaced, but apparently that didn't occur to THE GUY THAT FIXES FRIDGES FOR A LIVING (or at least charges people to!)

He was also unvaccinated and unmasked, and said he didn't need a vaccine because he takes pills that strengthen his immune system (the lady that sold him the pills told him so). Gave me some nutjob religious pamphlets on the way out. I paid $125 for a lunatic to come to my home and not fix anything, it was awesome.

I called and was able to get an appt. for the next day. They were on time, professional, and carefully and thoroughly diagnosed and fixed the problem with my dishwasher. My dishwasher is working great and I'm very happy with their service!

We purchased a refurbished washing machine and gas dryer and have been so pleased with the integrity and customer service of the owner and his associates. I would not hesitate recommending them to friends or having them in my home again. Wayne runs his business like his personal reputation depends on it. This is an old fashioned honest business.

I had them come out to my house to fix my dryer. He came and told me it was a bad switch which i did not think was correct. I was charged about 135$. He left and then next time I tried dryer It didn’t work. He came back out and told me it was now a bad motor. He said if this was replaced it would last for years to come. He charged me another 225$. I went with his advice. Two weeks later it broke again. He then came back and said it the control board which they don’t make anymore and it was not fixable. At this time he said I needed a new dryer or to buy one from him which was used. He could have offered this initially and didn’t. So basically I spent hundreds of dollars and took his advice only for him to tell me now it’s unfixable he he didn’t refund any money. I didn’t buy his dryer and was out almost 400 which I could have used to buy a new dryer which I had but anyway. Terrible advice and feel he should have made it right. Don’t use them unless you want to get ripped off. This is only review I’ve written in my life so I’m not just complaining.

I had a meh experience with these guys. Wouldn't call on them for any future needs nor would I recommend to a neighbor/family. They were nice enough, they did have professional appearance, but... disorganized scheduling and poor communication.

On a Thursday I talked to Wayne on the phone and he said someone would work on my washer Monday. I was not given any time. So, I just made sure I didn't have anything going on. I get a call Friday from Chris saying he can "be there in 20 minutes". I was not at all prepared to have anyone come over to my house with no notice, and I wasn't even home at the time. This gave me a lot of anxiety and honestly annoyed me a bit. I think MOST people like to have things properly planned and scheduled with enough notice.

Chris comes by Monday, realizes he needs a part that needs ordered, leaves and says he will come back to fix my washer when he has the part. It's just a small hose, and I was charged like 60 bucks for it? Don't know anything about proper retail for washer parts, but thought I'd list it here for potential consumers to read.

For the return with the ordered part to actually fix my washer, Chris and I assume what was an apprentice just SHOWED UP at my house around 9am. I was expecting them that day, but again I thought a time would be pre-negotiated when it wasn't. Or at least a call given when they were on their way. I was still sleeping in bed with no clothes on, my 2 year old was still asleep. The dogs are barking their heads off at the door, while I am frantically throwing clothes on. The dogs wake up the 2 year old who starts crying and it's a great morning already. I was already irritated by the time I opened the door, I asked them if they even called before coming over and they said no. They fix the washer, took about 20 minutes, and they leave.

Found out later when I was doing a load of laundry that this big puddle of water was forming under my machine and on my floor. Called them again, this time I was told someone would be there that day between 3:30-4pm. No one ever showed. Got a call the next day from Chris, and we worked out a time. He showed up, turned out I was overloading the machine so it was spilling over.

All in all I paid like 200 for parts and labor for about a 20 minute fix. 3rd visit when it seemed like it was still leaking was an additional 50. I was pretty excited to be able to wash laundry again though.

Wayne Gassman of Gassman Appliance is top notch! His customer service is wonderful, he is quick to respond, timely, and price conscious! We have used his service a couple of times and he always has the parts on hand. He is friendly and kind! I would recommend him over and over again!

I’m very glad he worked out for you!

However, I would like to add our experience with him. I scheduled him to repair our refrigerator since it wasn’t cooling at all. We made an appointment for 8 am, he showed up around 9:30 with no call or apology for being an hour and a half late.

He went to work, but kept addressing my husband and ignoring me even though I am the one who called him and was dealing with him (I usually take care of the appliances and utilities in the house), but whatever. He spent an hour on our fridge, and then told us it was the compressor and that he’d have to order it; he said it should take a few days.

Turns out, the compressor failing on our model was a known issue, so the manufacturer would cover it (I found this out through my own research), so yay! I called the warranty line, they had to verify with Gassman appliances, and I thought we would be good to go. Nope, turns out that he told us wrong, it was actually a computer board that he ordered. Frustrating, but people make mistakes, so I brushed it off.

ALMOST TWO WEEKS LATER (after I called and left an unanswered voicemail after a week), he finally calls me back and tells me that he’s had the part in for a while but he “forgot to call us.” Thankfully we had an old fridge that still worked during then, otherwise we would have been without fresh food for two weeks!!!

He finally installed the part, and I was so glad it worked so we didn’t have to deal with him anymore. Also, both times he came out he left us with religious tracts!! I have no problem if someone’s religious, to each their own, but I think it is highly unprofessional for a business to try to proselytize their customers. I wonder how long they’d be in business if they were handing out Islamic tracts instead!

We have used Gassman Appliances for years. Wayne was recommended to me by my landlord when we were renting a home and we used them again after we bought our home too! Recently, I had my washer and dryer go out almost at the same time. Wayne and his team came out and helped us right away for both replacements. (They take the old machines that are broken too!) His team is professional and courteous. Wayne, himself will even come help his guys get the job done. Amazingly kind company. They are understanding and will make you feel like family! We will always use Gassman for our appliance repair and replacement. Thank you for everything Gassman!

Wayne is a super nice guy! I called this morning about servicing my washing machine and he gave me some ideas to try that will hopefully fix my problem and will save me the money. I appreciate a repairman that doesn't sell a service that isn't needed. If it doesn't work I will definitely make an appointment with him!
