Solas is the only residential remodel company I would refer to my friends. The owner is super friendly, and does what he says he is going to do, and is fair in price.

I have worked with Darryl and Solas Renovations for over the past 10 years. Whether it's a large renovation or a smaller, simpler job Darryl is always professional and the workmanship is fantastic.

Solas did excellent work our kitchen remodel job. Solas was extremely responsive and provided excellent advice when asked. Solas completed our project on schedule. We will use Solas again for any remodeling project.

We had a hose burst in our laundry room that flooded our basement and destroyed our wood floors, cabinets and walls. Darryl and his crew were here within a day or 2 to take out all the flooring and cabinets that were ruined and we had our basement back within 2 weeks!! I have referred him to a few other friends that needed renovations and repairs and they were all satisfied as well. I highly recommend Solas Renovations. They are the best around.

I can't recommend Solas enough. They did a full basement/kitchen/dining room (gut to the studs) remodel for us and paid great attention to detail. They had to work with a difficult client (me!) asking a lot of questions along the way. I'm in the building industry so I know enough to make me annoying to some contractors - but also know how to sift through contractors that cut corners and/or dismiss people. Darryl and his team were so great to work with. Their responses to my questions were on point and with thought and care for the long term. They don't take shortcuts in quality that you will pay for later. They have great ideas on how to solve problems along the way and were happy to brainstorm ideas with me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

People say it's hard to find a capable and honest general contractor, but I did! Solas Renovations is great! Darryl O'Beirne completed a custom kitchen remodel for me that turned out better than I even dreamed of. He and his designer helped me think through the best way to use the space, get the amenities I wanted, and all without breaking the bank. The employees and subcontractors were professional and courteous, and always on-time. They kept me informed of the progress and they always answered the phone when I called. Solas does bathrooms, basements, ADUs, and more and if I ever need another project, Darryl will be my first and only call. Five stars all around for a great experience.

Daryl's an awesome listener, with exceptional expertise, that combination always leads to amazing outcomes. We've teamed up with Daryl and his team on three different projects in three different homes over the last 10 years. Each project had its own curveballs, Daryl always found a way to make our vision come to life. We totally recommend him and his team – no hesitation.

Darryl was great to work with. He was responsive to calls, texts. Unlike many contractors and friends we talked to, his team was on time with the project and budget. We had some changes and unknowns show up and he accommodated them and our indecision with patience and respect. We would use him again 100%!

We’ve had Solas do multiple projects for us including concrete work on front steps, bathrooms (2), and a total remodel of our main floor and kitchen. Darryl and team did a full basement build for us from ideation to finishing. He and his team communicated well, were courteous, cleaned up daily, and despite pandemic supply chain issues, did a great job keeping us near to our original schedule. I have worked with Solas on all sorts of projects, big and small, and they are always done with great care and professionalism. Darryl and his whole team are very knowledgeable and do a great job communicating as projects progress. They are a great team and I highly recommend them for any project.

Darryl and his crew were amazing - personable, professional and all we could have asked for. Supplies were ordered and ready when the craftsmen were ready for them, so we had no more than a day or two over 3 months when we didn’t have workmen present. We also didn’t wait for the tradesman to arrive - coordination was excellent. We had some serious challenges with our 1932 Tudor cottage. He and his right hand man, Ryan, creatively worked their way through them all and gave us more than we had hoped for. Ryan even added on extra smaller projects we couldn’t handle on our own. Both he and Darryl were amazingly responsive to our needs and wants. Solas started on time and finished on time and on budget. I actually missed them when they were finished. We had an excellent experience,!

We’re 2 projects in and we’d absolutely use them again! Solas renovated our basement in 2018. We had such a good experience working with Darryl & his crew, we had them come back and do our kitchen in 2023! Second experience was equally as good. Every person on Darryl’s crew was super easy to work with, respectful of our space and did great work. Darryl did an awesome job communicating throughout the job. He kept us in the loop on job progress, gave regular updates on budget items and was a master at solving problems that came up. I never walked away from any issue that popped up feeling unhappy about the outcome. And both projects were finished within the expected timeframe! If we ever get around to renovating the attic, we’ll call them again.🙂 Would highly recommend!

Solas remodeled our upstairs bathroom, an attic space-turned-closet and the crumbling ceilings in our 1924 home. They did an excellent job! Darryl was so organized and efficient with ordering materials and scheduling contractors- there were never any gaps of time or lags of the work getting done. Darryl was great at communicating with us throughout so we knew exactly what was going on and what would happen next. The project turned out more beautiful and useful than we could have hoped. The attention to detail made everything turn out so well- I truly wish we had done this project sooner! We would definitely recommend Solas Renovations for any project. They were so easy to work with and did a fantastic job!
