Doing a major remodel is no easy task, but Darryl and his team made it as smooth as possible. Darryl responds very quickly to emails/calls, was very easy to work with and very patient with me and my lack of knowledge of remodeling, and he stayed within projected time frame!!! I couldn’t be happier with the result! I highly recommend Darryl/ Solas LLC.

Working with Solas Renovations has been a wonderful experience. The craftsmanship, the attention to detail, and perhaps most importantly, the willingness to communicate regularly resulted in the stunning transformation of my kitchen. In fact, the outcome exceeded my expectations. Another point: there were no surprises: they kept to their schedule and did not exceed the estimate. A bonus item: they were very neat and tidy, both inside and out. My neighbors even mentioned how polite they were. In fact, the experience was so positive, that I plan to ask them to remodel my bathroom!

Darryl was very professional, communicated well, kept me updated on the progress, my kitchen, and was a pleasure to work with. He finished my project and the time he said it would take. I would highly recommend using his services.

Solas recently completed a full basement remodel and an upstairs master suite renovation for us, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. In the basement, we added a beautiful new bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and sauna, laundry room, gym, bedroom, and a large family room. We absolutely love the space and use it all the time.
Upstairs, our 100-year-old home feels brand new. The master bathroom now features a gorgeous tub and shower, and both bedrooms now have very large closets which is super nice with additional storage space. The entire area was updated including new doors, fixtures, freshly painted, and the hardwood floors were refinished to perfection.
Both projects turned out beautifully. We highly recommend Solas for any remodeling needs — their work is top-notch!

We have worked with Darryl and Solas three times over the past 12 years, and every time the team is prompt and tidy, finishes the project close to the original projected completion date, and really strives to stay on budget, as well as find cost savings where possible. Our first project was finishing out our basement, then we built a front porch and deck and replaced our side gate, and this year we completely remodeled our original kitchen from 1939, which required taking out a load bearing wall, custom cabinetry, and reworking very old and weirdly wired electrical. Working with Darryl makes what could be an enormously stressful time actually fun, he is very prompt in responding to questions or concerns, and I would trust him with any project, big or small! We will always call Solas first when we have a remodeling project in mind. It's invaluable to have a contractor you can trust, and we absolutely trust Solas.

This was the second project we have used Solas for. After getting several bids for a kitchen remodel, Solas came back with the most detailed bid, pointing out work that would need to be done (ie: make up air for the hood we had selected) that the other bids had failed to include and would have ended up as change orders. Darryl and all the members on his team were polite, professional and respectful of our personal space. Communication was great throughout the duration of the project, letting us know when people were going to be at the house to work, offering suggestions for where to look for hardware and being adaptable to changes in design we made along the way. And the best part is our new beautiful kitchen!

Are amazing! We contracted with Darryl for a complete kitchen and Den remodeled and at our mid-century Ranch house Last year. He was recommended to us by our neighbors who said they loved their Contractor. Having worked in the past with other contractors I found that very hard to believe as we had so many issues especially Communications. Nothing could be further from the truth with Darryl, he will communicate with you the entire way About issues, large and small. We didn’t have to have any redos because of a miscommunication which I find amazing! All his subs were polite and clean and when they left, they cleaned up so well, you wouldn’t even have known they were there. We stayed in our house and they sealed the doors up so well that there was absolutely no dust in the rest of the house. We had no problem with that. We also worked with a designer who was the contact between Darryl and us,And they got along so well, there was never any issues. In the past, I’ve had contractors who did not liked working with designers and made it difficult, but Darryl made everything a piece of cake. he also told us the Estimated time the job would take and believe it or not it took that exact amount of time for it. He works in a way that just makes it almost impossible to take longer. The only thing that will cause delays is if the client makes any changes.
The only issue I have is that I had with Darryl is that I wish I had another project so I could work with Darryl and his team again!

I can't say enough good things about East Ave Design Build. They took our 1917 home into the current century and maintaining the look and feel.

They were extremely helpful and guided us through the entire process. They communicative, timely, flexible and on budget. The process, budget, schedule and expectations were clear from the on-set of the project. East Ave was proactive and responsive email and phone calls. They kept the workspaces clear and tidy through the entire process. I would highly recommend and am planning to use again on our next project.

Work Completed on a 1920 home: Full kitchen remodel (including knocking down a wall), primary bath remodel, flooring refinish, chimney repair & fireplace installation.

Our house needed a ton of work- from electrical to plumbing to flooring to drywall to complex structural. Chad made it all happen for us. Our house went from having ancient carpeting, cloth wiring, a sagging floor, and a sketchy unpermitted stairway in the middle of the living room to having a fresh new bathroom, new kitchen, new oak floors, and an entirely new finished basement. He also taught me how to use my new lawnmower because he is a truly caring person who loves to help others. He is knowledgeable, supportive, kind, and a real pleasure to work with. We feel super lucky to know Chad, and unreservedly recommend East Avenue Design + Build.

We hired Chad Ruhoff of East Avenue to revamp a house from the early 1900s that needed lots of attention. Work touched all floors of the home, and included two bathrooms, a finished basement, mini-split/AC installation, new wiring, relocating appliances and a new roof, among other projects. Chad listened carefully to our ideas and was very creative in offering different possibilities to suit our budget, from initial design ideas and renders to the final paint. He is an extremely patient and effective communicator and we never felt as if things were out of control. Chad has been in the business, as he says, "forever" and it shows. He’s extremely knowledgeable about all systems, and works with great subs. All in all, our home turned out great and we're very glad to have found him.

We hired Chad at East Avenue Design + Build to complete our main level bathroom remodel. Chad worked with our budget to design, demo, and re-build a beautiful and functional bathroom we can enjoy for many years to come. Throughout the entire process, Chad responded quickly to any concern, question, or issue that came up. Chad’s clear communication and quick response time is unmatched! We will definitely hire Chad again for our future projects.

Also of note: During our project, Chad took time out of his busy morning to help our elderly neighbor control their broken main water valve that was pouring water out into the street. Another example of how genuinely nice and caring Chad is, not only for his clients, but also for their neighbors and the community.

O'Neill is all about cultivating relationships within the community and making a stand for livable wages. The owners are super sweet!

I don't know this company personally but I did visit their website and I liked that they do alot for the community and give back to our community in many ways and I love the fact that they worked on the same bridge I did but I think I got them beat with a better pictures of the tilikum crossing bridge when I was working on it. Maybe one day I'll have the opportunity to meet then but until than I just want to say thank you for all your help and kindness. Bo Ledesma

I've had the pleasure to work with O'Neil on past projects in Portland, OR. They are very professional, fun to work with and have a great deal of Electrical Power systems knowledge. I would highly recommend O'Neil for any commercial work requiring electrical.

If their work is anything like their driving they should be avoided at all costs. The driver was doing 20 miles over the limit as I got on the highway and tried to cut me off in a merge lane even though the fast lane was vacant. He followed up by passing me with his middle finger. Very aggressive behavior for someone driving a billboard
