I am so happy with the new LVT flooring in my basement. Paige, at the Beaverton store, helped me so much in deciding what I wanted and keeping the cost in my budget. She was patient when I changed my mind and had questions. Communication was spot-on. Everything was on-time from beginning to end. The delivery person and installer were also kind and helpful.

HD Staffs are friendly but the 'service' normally pricy... ended DIY and saved few hundred buck for couple hours of works...

Almost always have what I need but the place has all the Christmas stuff in it and is over full.

Just called for advice on an appropriate size AC unit for my house, during the process I was transferred to a total of FIVE different people who would all tell me that they needed to transfer me to another department. They were unable to answer my inquiry, and lacked the ability to even find the right person that could.
Fifteen minutes of time...wasted. -
This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My garage door opener hasn't been working for months. I bought it from Home depot. When I called them their usual response was 'We will call the installer and get back to you. The installed will give you a call back. I did not get a call from the installer for months. Home depot would call me back and say'Oh we have let the installer know'. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE INSTALLER COS THEY COULDNT FIND IT!!!Last week when I called the manager and made the same complaint this is what they discovered 'Oops!! I SEE THERE IS A GLITCH IN THE system. THE INSTALLER WASNT NOTIFIED! Sorry. This time I have made sure the installer knows." It took them 4-5 many months to finally realize that there IS problem with their customer service interface.
2. Also twice the customer service people would hang up on me. Thats unprofessional and cheap!! -
We are finishing up a major kitchen remodel where David Halliday became our designer.
This was a lengthy process from planning our new kitchen to ordering cabinets to receiving
them and dealing with minor problems as they occurred. He was very helpful in every
regard... being very good at anticipating design problems thus avoiding many pitfalls
when dealing with a do-it -your-selfer as me. Was very comfortable working with David
as he helped make the experience very enjoyable. -
Excellent service at this home depot location. caring and accommodating finding creative ways to add value.

So order carpet 2 months ago warned me at the time will take awhile. Installers call 15 minutes before hand to reschedule, let it go. Then they mess up the grade and color of the carpet being installed, upset but will let them fix. Call they will look into it and call back next day and give call back phone #. No call, leave 3 voice mails. Still no response. Call store directly again ask if can be put on hold hear them talking about me, then transfer me with no warning to number that rings 5 times and hangs up. Thanks for nothing guess I have to go to store so they cannot hang up or ignore me.

Bad customer service, unable or unwilling to give a veteran the discount that they offer without jumping through a bunch of Hoops. All that should be required is showing ID. I'll do my best to avoid Home Depot from now on.

Call to find the status of my order. The lady from appliance couldn't check if my item was there or not beside to read what the computer said..once I ask her to get transfered she said why bother there goin to tell me the same thing. She took a few min then basically hung up. Worst customer service to be answering the phone

We had Columbia NW heating and air-conditioning come out to the house for a heating tuneup. We got a great black Friday deal for $8.88. They provided excellent service.
-
The Furnace Tune Up service I signed up for is not clear on what the technician performs( nor the technician was clear). The technician gave quote (for replacing igniter, etc. ) that were exorbitant. Then my fully functioning system prior to this service stopped working after the technician left. Had to call another company to get it repaired. Not recommend HD for this service.

Have used the Home Depot three times for carpet installs and each time has been affordable and an excellent installation. Contractor is on time and respectful of the home, cleaning up before the leave.
-
We had a winter furnace inspection and thermostat check. It was done by very competent and efficient tech from Columbia heating and cooling. It pleased me to know everything was shipshape and no potential problems on the horizon. Thanks for your “Black Friday” special.

I ordered grey carpet from Home Depot. When my ‘grey’ carpet arrived with the installers it looked more brown. I called home Depot and told them the label information and that the carpet didn’t look like what I had ordered. I was told that the label was correct and carpet must be correct. After installed I took a piece into store was very obvious not the correct carpet. Now three months later I still have the wrong carpet and am told the carpet manufacturer is requiring Home Depot to come pull up carpet to get a printed code on back!! This has been the worst and is requiring more of my time for someone (Home Depot or carpet company) to step up and find a solution so i can move forward. Very underwhelmed by response or customer service. Will not recommend using Home Depot.

We took up the task of flooring installation with Home Depot back in July 2025. Our project involved LVP installation on the first floor and carpet replacement on the 2nd floor and stairs. Our conversation with Babz regarding the material selection was smooth and she provided us with a rough estimate for materials' delivery. Just an FYI - they ask you to pay for the entire project upfront. And now, you start hitting the roadblocks - delays in material delivery, no follow ups on your queries. The person kept telling us that our LVPs are sitting somewhere in the container somewhere and are not getting shipped. And this is almost the end of September. One day when I was inquiring about the materials' delivery the lady mentioned they have everything in stock and will be delivered shortly to our place..Wait, what? Anyhow, the material was delivered and some of baseboard arrived stained and scratched. I'll give Romanoff installers a 4/5 for doing a good and prompt job with the installation. Taking 1 point away since they seem to be lacking the fine skills for installing carpet on the stairs. All the work completed on 10/24. And now comes the task of asking for refund on the unused labor charges. Sadly, you won't hear anything from Home Depot unless you call them every week. And God bless your soul if you are working with Laura. I've called so many times and asked for her since she is the main person dealing with this project but I have NEVER, NEVER heard back from her. I was partially refunded by the end of last year and still waiting for the full refund.
Key takeaways - if you want your project finish in a timely manner, don't work with Home Depot. And stay away from Laura!!
Romanoff installers are a good team for the installation work. -
Really great service- highly recommend. They took the time to design custom ductwork for my DIY heat pump install. They also sell everything you need for a DIY ductless heat pump install.
