Wish I could leave 6 stars; fast service, great price, courteous, professional and overall great experience. Called and was able to get an appointment scheduled for a dryer duct cleaning that was only two days after when we called. He showed up on time, was very respectful of our home and did a thorough job. He even went so far as to reconnect the dryer for us and try it to ensure there was proper airflow. Highly recommend for dryer or home HVAC service.

I can now comfortably work from my new garage office because of the quality craftsmanship of Ruben and his crew! I am so impressed with the care and efficiency exemplified by this team. I called on a Tuesday, and the work was done mere days later. Ruben explained each step of the mini split installation, sent a very detailed quote, and then immediately set to work. Windy City Power Vac saved me $20,000!!

I had two big-name HVAC companies come out to perform maintenance service on my gas furnace. Both of them told me that there were different things wrong and it wouldn’t be worth it to repair the furnace. Both companies tried to sell me on their package deals with prices ranging from $15k-$27k! The last company I had out even said I had a crack in my heat exchanger and condemned the unit.

Luckily I called Windy City and Ruben, the owner, came out and spent over 1.5 hours diagnosing, testing, and inspecting my furnace with a camera and a CO2 detector. Not only was there NO CO2 leakage and no cracks, but the company had left an important safety switch unplugged.

It’s so upsetting that HVAC companies can be so disreputable. Buyer be ware and if you need HVAC service….don’t waste your time with companies that have high pressure sales tactics …. CALL WINDY CITY!!!!

Greensavers saved my bacon when the ice storm took out my water heater recently. They not only got me on the schedule right away but they were able to get exactly the water heater I wanted in that short time. Even before the work started, everybody communicated well with each other and with me. They cleaned up after the install and everybody in my house was able to take a nice hot shower! After the job, when my insurance company tried to slide out of reimbursing me, Greensavers promptly wrote a letter to address my insurance companie's questions so I could be reimbursed for the loss. That was the best experience with a burst water heater that I can imagine.

Greensavers installed a water heater, two bathroom fans and insulated the attic in my 50+ year old home. From the assessment to closing out the project they were informative, did what they said they would do when they said they would do it, every team member was skilled and thoughtful about every detail. My home is improved by their work and I’ve made a small dent in the destruction of our planet by fossil fuels. Highly recommend.

GreenSavers did a great job installing insulation in our attic. They were extremely professional, respectful of our home, and communicative. During the job one of the workers accidentally punctured a hole in the attic floor - aka the ceiling of our house - and they immediately pulled someone off another job to repair it and did a extremely thorough job cleaning up the insulation that fell. I would recommend them without hesitation.

GreenSavers did a stellar job insulating my home! It is so much warmer now in my house. They were fast, repaired things and cleaned up as they went. We have been repeat customers of GreenSavers on multiple occasions for multiple projects involving heat pump water heaters, air source heat pump HVAC systems, air purification systems, insulation, and weatherization because of their professionalism, reliability, excellent communication, and skilled craftsmanship. Notably, if and when something needed to be improved upon, they followed through and did so. I refer the neighbors in my community to GreenSavers with no hesitation at all.

Had our windows replaced by GreenSavers, and it was fantastic. Salesperson was the most personable/not-pushy of the various places we got quotes from, and the price was in-line with those competing quotes. The communication process was easy, we were kept up to date on everything, and the work was done very professionally. I also REALLY appreciated how they looked at everything about energy-efficiency together--for example, explaining how replacing our windows will affect how powerful of a mini-split system we might need, or how we might get more benefit from replacing our crawlspace insulation vs. replacing our whole HVAC system, even though replacing our insulation would cost less to do. Really helped us prioritize which projects to tackle now and which we will tackle next---but regardless of the order, we'll certainly be calling GreenSavers to do those follow-up projects.

Every member of the GreenSavers team was pleasant and knowledgeable, from the salesperson Mira, who answered all of our questions, to the installation team and office coordinators. The installation was done with minimal disruption and we appreciated their attention to detail.

Very pleased with GreenSavers on the installation of our heat-pump water-heater. They had to pull in a sub to replace the electric panel, and now we are set to complete the project with a new furnace and air-conditioning! We spread it out over 2 years to receive extra tax breaks, and they were helpful in working within our budget.

They seemed decent but their project manager did the work way out of order: because they installed an attic platform first, they blocked off the electrician's access and he had to put exposed conduit all along our walls. Also now any electrical work we do in our attic or ceilings is forever blocked off from the breaker box, or we need to punch a hole in their platform to access it. If they'd done the install in the right order there would also be more than a centimeter of clearance between the new HVAC unit and the attic ladder. There were a handful of other things they did that made me a bit grumpy (some ceiling damages; installing the unit upside-down) but the botched order of operations is the big one. I think they apologized for it but did nothing to fix the problems; it felt like "oops, yeah we screwed that up pretty bad... ok bye!" That and sometimes getting them to respond to emails is like pulling teeth.

A friend admitted they'd used greensavers as well and had insulation blown through their house because of a mistake the team made in their attic. Other places are more costly, but who knows, it might be worth the extra money.

We've done several projects wit GreenSavers (heat pump, heat pump water heater, insulation, windows) and have been happy with the work done. They were thoughtful around my children's naps and left the work area clean. We were selected for a post-work inspection by the state and our inspector commented that the work was done "thoroughly and very well." She said, "Oh, GreenSavers, they always do their projects right!"

Every step of the way with GreenSavers was professionally managed and well installed. I worked with them to insulate my 100+ year old home, and I found their staff incredibly knowledgeable about their products and services, and reasonable about the prices. I highly recommend this company.

I upgraded my attic insulation with a full cleanout, and added insulation to the walls of my small mid-century Portland home. Greensavers was very easy to work with. All of my interactions with the team were friendly and professional. The house feels so much better. It was a worthy investment. That being said, it was costly. If I had to do it over I would probably try to get more bids. The initial bid did not include clean out of the old insulation in the attic with 70 years of filth on it, so I had to add that service at about $2,800 extra. Overall I'm very happy with the results. My house already feels much less dusty and we were very comfortable in the house during the recent freeze.

From the initial planning phase, which took care of all our questions about installing a heat pump system, through even a later follow-up session to assure that all was operating fine, we have been impressed with both our purchase, our complete satisfaction with the results of our heat pump, and the attention we have received from GreenSavers. Great company! They were very helpful with scoping our project. Once work began their crews were always on time and very courteous. The work went quickly. They took care to cover our wood floors and rugs. We were very pleased. I highly recommend Greensavers.

We hired GreenSavers for attic insulation and for earthquake strapping. They were responsive through every step of the process, taking time to explain what they planned to do and why, and clearly communicating what to expect when the workers were there. Day of, the team lead walked me through the work zone to reconfirm the scope of work before they started, and walked me through again after they finished to show what was done. All of the workers seemed happy to be there and functioning smoothly as a team, which is a huge green flag! I'll definitely be reaching out to GreenSavers again when it's time to replace our water heater, replace windows, etc. Wish I could hire them for everything!
