GreenSavers completed attic and basement weatherization work on my house. I was impressed with the professionalism of all staff involved and am happy with the results--my attic is now at least 10 degrees cooler (in summertime) than before! They also made the process of receiving available incentives very easy. Definitely recommended!

Green Savers is an awesome company if you or your family members suffer from allergies or complex health issues due to bad air quality. They really understand your needs.

Nick from Green Savers helped me and my wife picked the right mini splits instead of ducting system which prevented dirty air coming into the house from crawlspace. Plus he suggested cellulose insulation instead of fiberglass to help my wife's breathing problems. My wife tested the material and made sure it didn't cause her allergic reaction which is very nice of him.

Erica did a very good job making sure everything was installed correctly. We really appreciate her communicating every detail before the HVAC and insulation replacement. It is a 4 week project and everyone showed up on time and delivered awesome work. We had a indoor dryer which leaks lint into the house. She came back with the crew to fixed it in a week.

Tiffany did a great job answering many question in the original consultation, especially communicating with our designer and willing to expend the service area to Beaverton. Andrea handled the billing process very well. All the invoices are very clear with every service items. I highly recommend Green Savers. It's an All Star team!

I discovered GreenSavers at the 2024 ElectrifyPDX event. The talk they gave was earnest & enlightening so I took advantage of a home energy audit even though I've made many upgrades in the last 20+ years.

My auditor (Heather) was very helpful in explaining the Whys as well as the Whats & even prioritizing them for me. It was all good news with only 2 more relatively minor insulation tasks to complete my energy effiency. (One that no other vendor had ever noticed/metioned.) Which I did.

None of my other providers did the thorough prep work they did, including a walk thru before the crew came so the site would be good to go.

I wil contact them again this year for a new heat pump. I have recommneded them to 4 friends already. Give them a try; you'd probably be impressed as well.

We are so happy that we hired GreenSavers! We needed to upgrade our heating system from radiant ceiling heat to something effective and energy efficient AND were in need of cooling during the hot summers. Nick recommended a mini-split heat pump, combined with new insulation. Our house was warmer after just 1 out of the 2 days of work and now I'm watching our electricity usage drop on the PGE website. I'm looking forward to a cooler summer in our house. GreenSavers includes government subsidy paperwork with signing and we are already waiting on a check. Everyone on the GreenSavers team that we worked with was really helpful, customizing their advice to our house, our goals, and tax and cash incentives. I will recommend GreenSavers to friends and family looking for heating and cooling work.

Greensavers installed more insulation in our home, which made a big difference last summer when our air conditioning was out. Then they installed a heat pump when our gas furnace went out. They were helpful with financing and figuring out what incentives we qualified for. As far as I could tell, they were thorough and careful in their work and very willing to answer questions. Much appreciated.

Greensavers recently insulated our house and basement and I could not be more pleased with the work. Despite the fact that we have asbestos shingles they were able to remove and replace all successfully. They were on time, worked consistently and left the place spotless. It is now warmer and much quieter in our home. Thank you all for your hard work.

Very nice & professional team. My consultant was very helpful, the people who came out to inspect were nice & the installation team was great. They even finished the install of my heat pump a day early. Great experience overall.

GreenSavers are great to work with. After having to cancel our project in 2022, they quickly ramped it back up after we contacted them in 2023 to finally get our heat pump and mini-splits installed. Great service, nice people, and an overall job well done.

Greensavers did a great job for us.

They arrived on time, completed work on schedule, protected our home and furniture, cleaned up well, and most importantly, we have achieved real efficiencies. Our heating and cooling bills are lower and the areas of the home we were addressing are much more comfortable.

    This was a positive experience.

Everything from the estimate to completion of the project was quick and well done. The work crew was very professional. We were concerned about what the final appearance would look like, but you couldn't tell where the holes were drilled. And the best part is that we can easily tell that the insulation has significantly reduced how much the furnace runs. My only issue was that communications with the office, but not project staff, could be challenging at times.

This was a great experience. It’s the second time I have asked Greensavers to complete a fairly substantial project. Both good investments. (Full house energy saving improvements, and central air conditioning with related electrical upgrades). Highly knowledgeable team, reliable with scheduling, and good communication. Great outcome.

Working with Greensavers to install my new heat pump was an uncomplicated process. From working with Forest to Erica and the installation crew. Good communication up front and the crew made every effort keep the house clean and uncluttered. Highly recommend.

Our neighbor gave us a reference for GreenSavers and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The GreenSavers crew came out for an initial visit. They inspected the house (including how it was not well insulated), the old furnace, listened to what we wanted, and then gave us the proposal.

Over the course of a week, the crew insulated our ground floor walls (that had zero insulation), cut an access hole to our crawlspace and insulated it, removed our old gas furnace and installed a new heat pump with a blower (about the same size and location as our old gas furnace) for the main floor and basement, and also installed a ductless wall mounted unit for the upstairs. We've had it about a month now and it has been great. The outside unit is very quiet, the main floor blower is also quiet, and we've already gotten to use both the heating and cooling thanks to Portland spring weather.

    More details...

We have a 1930s house in NE Portland and our 25 year old gas furnace went out. We didn't have AC but knew we wanted it with the hotter summers and the now almost to be expected forest fire smoke. We got estimates from several furnace companies for a replacement furnace with AC and also asked them about heat pumps. They either didn't know about heat pumps or gave bad information.

Our neighbors had a relative that used GreenSavers and we talked to them. They had used GreenSavers for a wall insulation project first because they knew they needed it. They said that was a great experience. Later they needed to replace their furnace and went back to GreenSavers. They had their heat pump for two years and it worked great even over the cold icy snowy winters. Our concern was that winter performance and they said it was great.

GreenSavers was the only heat pump knowledgeable company we found and talked to. Sizing the house properly including how well insulated is how they determine what heat pump configuration will work for you. We also got the Mitsubishi Hyper Heat outdoor unit which works down to -13F.

When the crews were working I noticed an old duct would not be used. I talked with the team and had a work order change to redirect it to a bathroom with no working ducts (the original one was disconnected by previous owner when rewiring the house). That small project was done perfect. The bathroom was always cold and now it's the same as the rest of the house.

The work crews were great, did a very thorough job, touched up the house paint after the wall insulation, coordinated the electrical contractor for the new heat pump installation, were respectful inside the house and nothing was damaged and everything was installed very professionally.

    The only two downsides:
    - this project was not cheap. Quotes for a new gas furnace with new AC was about $15k. This project was about $30k. But the GreenSavers included the wall insulation, crawl space insulation, and a separate mini split for upstairs. The upstairs was never well heated by the old furnace. We didn't think an AC using the same insufficient ducts would work well either. GreenSavers is aware of all the heat pump rebates: some were immediate and we'll get a little more back next tax season.
    - it's a slight inconvenience, but the upstairs ductless unit and the main blower for the rest of the house need to be either both cooling or both heating. They can't be a mix (cooling upstairs, heating the main floor). Of course in the middle of summer or winter this isn't a problem. But in the spring and with a teenagers upstairs, it's taken some education and coordination. But I think we've gotten used to it now.

Wow. Sorry for the long review. Long story short, we had a great experience and really like the outcome. And we would do it again.

Great company to work with. Clean, efficient crew removed my insulation so electricians could do needed repairs. Greensavers coordinated their return after electrical inspection. Another efficient, clean and friendly crew buttoned me up.

I write this is a warm house. It's a cold, damp morning outside.

Edit: Our project had initially fallen through the cracks due to miscommunication. Craig and Heather at GreenSavers got in contact with us, were very professional and amicable, and worked to get our project on track and make the situation right. The quality of interactions with Craig and Heather restored our confidence in moving forward with GreenSavers and it speaks to their professionalism.

They insulated the crawl space, the ceiling, replaced the heating and AC unit, installed a much needed kitchen ventilation fan, cleaned and repaired the ventilation, and replaced the front door that wasn't up to code and an old window that both showed through energy audit as our biggest sources of temperature bleed with the outside. There were a couple hiccups during the whole process but GreenSavers worked to correct any issues and were very responsive throughout the whole project.

I've seen insulated attics and crawlspaces before but the work they did is a different level of clean and sealed. The AC's pad was not stable, so they also replaced the pad and leveled it, and did the work with no disruption to the yard and plants around it. The front door originally on the house was not the right size or type, and had almost a 1/16 inch gap. They ordered and handled getting a proper solid door, fixing the frame, and repainting the door and frame to match the house. The window had a similar problem as the door that they corrected.

Since completing the project, the AC can actually keep the house at a comfortable temperature on hot days, the heating is finally effective at warming the house back up on cold days, and the overall efficiency improvement cut our gas bill in half, and our electric bill by about 1/3, not to mention the tax credits they got us. Since cleaning and repairing the vents and sealing everything, I no longer have as bad of congestion problems from the dust, our infant son's room stays at a very comfortable temperature overnight, and he's stopped sneezing when the AC or heat comes on. The kitchen had no ventilation, so they installed a fan above the stove and it has worked wonderfully.

Their work was impressive enough we kept their sign up on our yard for almost 3 months after the project finished, recommended them to a couple friends that were planning to do house work, and we plan to continue recommending them.

    ---------Initial Review---------
My wife and I contacted GreensSavers in November, worked with Brittnee and Tom, got an audit done, made plans for work to be done. Then they ghosted us and aren't responding to contact attempts. We're now out $400 and have effectively been scammed.

Green Savers were easy to work with, organized, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I love how streamlined they made getting rebates and tax credits for projects that support energy efficiency. I feel like they took all the guess work out of it and we ended up saving a lot of money to do the projects that align with our values. Thanks you!

I had a fantastic experience with Ben Braudy and Zach Hamlin at Greensavers! My AC unit went out during a heatwave, and Zach responded quickly and professionally. He diagnosed the issue right away, explained everything clearly, and had it up and running in no time. You can tell he knows his stuff and genuinely cares about his customers. I really appreciated his honesty, efficiency, and great attitude. Highly recommend Zach and the team at Greensavers if you need HVAC help!

Can't say enough good things about the team at GreenSavers. We got an accurate quote very quickly that included a couple options and a clear explanation of the tradeoffs between them. Overall the price was very reasonable. Installation happened quickly, and they were able to adapt to our schedule. Communication was excellent. People showed up on time for appointments. The project went through with no issues, and we now have a wonderful new heat pump system heating and cooling our house! 10/10 would recommend.

Green Savers installed a Mitsubishi Heat Pump in July 2024 in my one level home built in 1991. Every thing was installed in one day. The house had existing duct work in the crawl space. I am very, very satisfied with the quality of workmanship on the install and with all the people who worked on my project.
I still have the gas water heater in my one-car garage. The crew had to move it a few inches to fit the larger heat pump into the area. I plan to replace the gas water heater in the future and will call GreenSavers for that also. I highly recommend the Mitsubishi Heat Pump and Green Savers.

We encountered Greensavers through the Energy Trust when we asked for a complete energy audit of our older home. They were responsive and helpful. We then retained them to install a heat pump and to do some insulation work. They were timely, clean, and effective. The heat pump has been great. We expect to retain them to do more work next year. Based on our experience, I recommend Greensavers.

Let me start off by saying: we started with an home energy audit, which was great. It was very informative and our guy walked me through all my options without any pushy sales tactics. When the insulation work was finally performed, I was also really pleased the with workmanship - the guys who came out were professional, the attic looks great and I can already tell the difference with the new insulation. All of this was 5 stars.

My primary knock was poor communication. It took 3 months to get the actual home energy audit report and a quote for additional work, which included me following up weekly via email and phone. My emails basically went unanswered and my calls were unhelpful. I understand there may have be mitigating circumstances at that time (early 2024), but the level of communication was unacceptable. It seems like there just wasn't a process in place to provide basic customer support. I provided this feedback over the phone, but not sure if it got through given my prior experience. We got through it, and I appreciate everything else you did for us, just wanted to provide this feedback.
