We've had lots of great (and some not so great) contractors in Portland over the years, but EcoHeat is truly the very best we've ever had. My impression is that the owner and employees have a strong culture of integrity and excellence, with top notch customer service at every level of the company. Our ancient furnace started dying around the holidays and EcoHeat was quick to send someone for repairs at a good price. The repair person was wonderful and skilled, and was able to finesse it to stay alive through winter even though the circuit board wiring was totally corroded. We ultimately decided to purchase a new heat pump and EcoHeat was amazing from start to finish. The owner spent lots of time going over every detail with us, from options and costs, to equipment specifications, to the process of getting rebates and tax credits (which they later helped us with, providing forms and instructions). He continued to take a personal interest in our situation after the sale was made. When our furnace finally permanently died before the new unit was ready, he gave us a free service call to see if there was anything that could be done, and then lent us really nice space heaters. When it was time for installation, he came over to personally introduce us to the crew and thank us for our business. The installation crew was hardworking and worked really well together, and you can tell from the tidiness of the installation that it was done with care. They did some regrading of the area by the outside unit and they really went above and beyond making everything level and tidy, not just right under the unit but the whole area. Everyone was so courteous and helpful, and they were a pleasant and even jolly presence to have around. We are very pleased with the new heat pump and every aspect of the project. There are a lot of good reviews for EcoHeat. My experience was also top notch. From the first contact to the last, it seemed like everyone was going for "five stars." My interactions felt genuinely kind and considerate. The install was perfect and I am surprised by how much more comfortable my new heat pump is compared to my old furnace. I did the retrofit to avoid an interruption in service (my prior furnace was very old) and for the environmental benefits. I hadn't really thought about the improvement in comfort - a real selling point of heat pumps!

My experience overall with EcoHeat was fantastic. From the initial quote visit all the way through the completion of service, the EcoHeat team was friendly, communicative, thoroughly professional, and just good vibes. I had two ceiling cassette mini-splits installed with one outside compressor unit. Ceiling units are a pain to install, with significant hot attic time, but the crew delivered. The workmanship is stellar, and the ceiling units look great. Will be recommending EcoHeat to all my friends for HVAC needs.

Heat stopped coming out of the registers! How’s that for a wake up call with four kids in the house. Called ECO and they had their guy out pronto. Found the problem, had to order parts so it took a few days, but loaned a heater to help. Showed up when they promised, got the furnace cranking and checked out everything related. Happy family now, warm too!

EcoHeat just serviced my HVAC systems, I have a forced air furnace and central A/C downstairs and a mini-split upstairs. The tech that did the work (Griffin) was excellent, great attitude and answered all of my questions. The cleaning of my mini-split was so thorough that it looks brand new.

I had an excellent experience with EcoHeat. They did a detailed analysis of my home to calculate out my needs and provided us with a variety of options. I ended up going with the heat pump HVAC system in my home and I'm very happy with it.

Their prices were competitive, and the installers were very knowledgeable. They were also very respectful of my home, wearing shoe coverings inside and cleaning up after the installation. And while it's not as important as how it functions, the new installation looks clean and neat.

They also went above and beyond, fixing some minor issues that popped up as they were working.

I would highly recommend EcoHeat for any HVAC you might need done.

Additionally if you feel up to it grab, them some breakfast burritos and coffee. They'll appreciate it. ;)

What an amazing company! I'm currently converting a part of my home into an ADU, and EcoHeat has been by far the most pleasant company I've worked with. They're responsive and transparent. Albert in particular was incredibly knowledgeable. My home is over a century old and his team was respectful of the space. They left it cleaner than it was when they arrived and were professionals every step of the way. I'll continue to work with EcoHeat for all my HVAC needs.

EcoHeat installed a heat pump for us this summer. We were very happy with the experience. They took the time to answer all our questions before, during, and after installation. The installation process was painless, and the unit has been working great since.

EcoHeat installed our gas furnace a few years ago. This week, they did annual maintenance on it. Griffin was our tech. He was very efficient, polite and answered all our questions. We have been very satisfied with our Trane furnace and EcoHeats customer service.

We’ve worked with this company a few times now, and they’ve always provided excellent service. Recently, they came out to diagnose an issue another company told us required a full HVAC replacement. Their technician quickly identified the real problem, repaired it, and saved us a lot of unnecessary cost.

Four years ago I had a full house HVAC system installed at an extremely reasonable price. The entire installation was done professionally by exceptionally personable and knowledgeable technicians. I have had them do yearly maintenance, and again, exceptional people and ability. There have been zero issues with the system which has worked wonders for both wintertime and summertime (first time in my life I have had AC). I could not recommend them more highly.

I'm a licensed GC and property manager. EcoHeat is the only provider I call for service of our mini-splits, boilers and tankless water heaters. Their field technicians are beyond excellent, detail oriented and clean. Their office and management insure professional scheduling and follow thru, especially when it matters. They've earned my trust.

I have been a customer of EcoHeat for over 10 years. A contractor I worked with had them put in a heat pump system in an old house (using our the furnace as back-up in the winter) We also had them install 4 mini splits in our current home. EcoHeat has been unbelievably delightful to work with. In a world where getting folks to call you back or show up on time, these folks have been remarkable in all aspects of customer service. We just had them come out to service both systems. Two different guys showed up and both of them were incredibly and authentically friendly and nice. I have found the techs to be knowledgeable and very patient (I often have questions about the inner workings of various systems). I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Ecoheat was great! They came in to replace the furnace with a new heatpump system. The crew was here for two days and were fantastic in getting things done quickly and efficiently, plus they were a pleasure to have around the house. Would definitely recommend!

I had 2 technicians Griffin and Mark and both were knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I have 2 furnaces for the house and a split mini for our ADU and had some new insulation to reinstall in one of the crawl spaces. They arrived on the scheduled time and all the work was performed in a professional and timely manner. I have been using Ecoheat for approximately 15 years and that I continue to use them is a testament to the service they have provided me.

We first worked with EcoHeat about 9 years ago to replace our home’s old oil furnace with a Mitsubishi ductless system. Thomas and his crew did an excellent job and were quite meticulous in the design and installation of our system, which spans 3 levels of a 1920’s house. They even worked overtime to get our heat back on during an ice storm.
We still use them exclusively for regular system maintenance. Their techs are always friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and I especially appreciate that they never leave me with a mess to clean up after their visit - they’re diligent about shoe protection and treat me and my home with respect!

We first worked with EcoHeat a few years back on an A/C system installation and had a great experience. Reached out to them a couple of days ago because our furnace was blowing cold air. They were super quick to respond and get us on the schedule for a service call. The technician was right on time, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed within about 90 minutes.
