We had a problem with our furnace this morning and within 2 hours Mike came out and fixed it. He was friendly, efficient and a real pro. I cannot recommend Pioneer enough. They are terrific!!

Since Spring 2013 Pioneer Furnace has installed a new Carrier high efficiency furnace and a Carrier AC in my home, and done the annual fall checks on 2 ancient furnaces in my 103 year old rental duplex. Upon Phil's advice, in Nov. 2016 the 40-year-old furnace in one duplex unit was finally replaced. When the other needs replacement, Pioneer will do the job.

I have been very pleased with their professionalism, their competitive pricing, and their 10-year warranty with an annual service appointment..

New owner Mike and Phil have particularly helpful, as has Molly in the office with scheduling and rebates.

They fixed gas fire place that had to have parts replaced. It worked very well after the job was finished. Also they installed a gas line and a gas stove top and it was a excellent job. I highly recommend this company with out any reservation.

Our very old AC at our 1974 home quit. It was a 40 amp unit and very inefficient. The new one Pioneer installed works way better, uses less electricity and is quieter. So glad for that lately. Pioneer also did a complete furnace/AC system at my brother's home, (at our recommendation), which just had an old oil furnace, same thing at my wife's father's home. Very professional installs.
We'd endorse them on doing any HVAC work.

Our heat wasn’t working when we got home from work. I called Pioneer’s after hours phone and someone got back to me within minutes and then Mike came out to our house within 30 minutes. He not only fixed the issue with our furnace, he gave us tips on our sump pump, and a variety of other issues we had been saving up. Mike, thank you!!!! You are the best!!!!

Excellent service. They answer all my questions and give really good suggestions on keeping our furnace working great. 10 year warranty free warranty a real plus. I did a lot of research on many companies. I would and do recommend Pioneer to anyone.

Pioneer is a great company. They aren't afraid of working with HOAs in downtown condos. Their crew was timely and did good work installing a rooftop AC unit for our loft. They did a great job moving through the permit process, coordinating with our HOA and the city, and saving us some major headaches. If you're looking for quality work and good customer service, especially downtown, go with Pioneer!

Pioneer Gas Furnace is a great business. They offered a good quote for A/C - and didn't quote us for a bunch of things we didn't want (which other shops did). Thereafter, we've had them perform yearly inspection and maintenance, and they're always on time and super professional.

It's the 4th of July and my A/C did not come on. I called at 5:30 and left a message. Molly called at 9:30 the next morning and Kasen was here an hour later. A/C was working by 10am. I've used Pioneer exclusively for all my HVAC needs since 1991. Mike and everyone is the best. Thank you.

Bought a house 4 years ago, installed a gas furnace with Pioneer. Things seemed to be fine during its use. Decided to sell the house, and Pioneer was too busy to service the furnace, so a different company came over. Both the technician and the buyers' inspector questioned if the PVC piping was up to code or not. Both Mike (the owner) and his assistant were adamant that it was fine. It took multiple emails and phone calls to convince Mike to even come out and take a look. When he came over, he was rude and seemed to be irritated that he had to come out. Within 5 minutes, he told me that, yes, the PVC pipe was wrong, and it wasn't up to code. He told me some story about his supplier sending the wrong kind of pipe to him for awhile, and "I thought I caught all the houses" that had the wrong pipe. But if that was the case, why was he and his assistant so defensive about the piping when I called and emailed? Thankfully, the buyers were ok to have the correct piping installed after the house closed, otherwise Mike and his incompetence and defensiveness would have derailed the entire sale.

Pioneer Gas Furnace was recommend to me by a friend eight years ago when I needed a new furnace installed. Since then they have done an install on an air conditioner, another air conditioner when we moved to a different house plus all the maintenance on our furnace, air conditioner and fireplace insert. Needless to say I have had terrific service from all their staff and the work has been top-notch. I have recommended them to several friends who have been more than satisfied with the work done by them. I highly recommend Pioneer for any gas appliance work.

When I needed some immediate assistance on a Friday afternoon, Pioneer sent someone within the hour. The problem was a defective part and they replaced it and did not charge me for the visit. I was so grateful because I was also having company in the next few days.
Pioneer sold me my furnace, installed it, have inspected it for me and all my interactions have been good. They also provided service on a gas fireplace that was purchased elsewhere a few years ago. They did an excellent job and adjusted a fan so it was no longer noisy.

Technicians are great. Molly on the phone has the worst customer service attitude I’ve encountered in a long time. Rude, curt and though my furnace has been torn apart for 1 week acts as if I am bothering her by calling for status update on when someone will return. There are too many other competent companies to waste my time with rudeness. I have taken my business elsewhere.

Gave us the best price for a new furnace and install, with warranty included, and have always been courteous, prompt and pleasant. We've had regular checkups for the furnace and they have never wavered in their service. Great company.

These guys were amazing. They have come out every year to service my furnace and air conditioner and have always been so nice. Last night my AC unit stopped working and I am someone that can’t function well in the heat. The were able to work me into their schedule that day and the guys found the problem and fixed it. They were also able to explain to me what was going Making the process so much easier. I highly recommend these guys at any time!

Mike was fantastic! He was able to come out the same day that our furnace stopped working. He was incredibly knowledgeable and worked through some maintenance issues that brought our furnace back to life. We avoided a costly replacement due to his quick thinking and problem solving. Will definitely hire Pioneer Gas again!

These guys are great. They dont upsell you. They fix the problem if it can be fixed. If it can't be fixed they will help get the right replacement. Kind and quick.

I talked to 4 companies before selecting Pioneer to replace my gas furnace and hot water heater. The other 3 companies told me I needed the higher end model with the variable heat output, but couldn't explain why, except to say that it would keep my house more comfortable. But my 25 year old, 80% efficiency furnace was keeping my house comfortable, so that didn't make any sense. Mike is the only one that told me I didn't need that type of furnace, and that it was more appropriate for older, draftier homes where the vents were not placed in the colder parts of the house, such as near windows or doors. Instead they installed the next model down and I'm very happy with it. The crew that came was prompt and efficient, got the work done and cleaned up afterwards. They were supposed to install the hot water heater the same day, but Mike had a couple of hours one day, so stopped by and installed it early. Then on one of the first really hot days we had this year, I turned on my air conditioning and got nothing. I called Pioneer and Mike came by the next day. He immediately diagnosed that when they had installed the furnace, two wires were reversed and so the A/C didn't work. He fixed it in about 10 minutes and there was no charge. I couldn't be happier with this company! And they offer a 10 year warranty!

I used Pioneer Gas Furnace to do some work on my furnace after I bought a house, and again to run gas to my kitchen and install a gas range. Both times I found them to be great service and well priced, and able to see me within a week. I’ve been very happy with the final results of each visit.

First warm days of the year and, of course, the AC unit won't turn on. Pioneer H & C is a great, customer service oriented bunch of folks. I called & explained problem. Their guy fit me into his schedule THAT DAY! Who does that? He quickly assesses that the problem is a quick fix...and done. AND, he does a free spritzing up on the unit, so as to avoid any future issues. Highly recommend this company. Dave L., Portland.

These folks are great. Timely, responsive, knowledgeable. We had an issue with our furnace that turned out to be caused by Northwest Natural, they quickly let us know so we could work with the gas company to resolve
