They had the best price and a very good product. Unfortunately, their product didn't support my Nest thermostat, and their thermostat comes with an ugly display that lights up the room at night. But the variable-speed furnace greatly improves home heating with less noise. It seems like the furnace is often not running but the home is warm nonetheless.

Apart from the furnace itself, the customer service was great and everything was done as Pioneer said that they would do it - very professionally.

from the phone call to the person who came to our house it was all smooth. The person who came to the house to do the repair was nice, personable and knowledgeable. Offer various options and even did a second assessment in another unit. He showed his concerns and what would he recommend and the level of priority.

Pioneer Gas and Furnace technician Greg just left - and I’m super impressed w their service. The office managed to fit us into their very busy schedule in only two days, there was good communication on when Greg would be at the house, and was here right when he said he’d be. We had a temperature sensor issue, Greg found it right away, fixed things up, cleaned up, and was out the door in less than an hour. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend and will use again for our service next year!

Great experience. I wanted a gas line put into my kitchen and called several places. This and another gave me the best impression over the phone, and Pioneer gave the best quote. Mike came by and my estimate was actually way less than I was expecting. The actual service was incredibly fast and the two guys who put in the gas line were helpful and friendly. Very quick, professional service and I will be going to them first for anything else in the future. And a great deal. Highly recommend.

I called 3 companies for bids on a new furnace and for diognostic and pioneer was by far the most helpful and affordable. They didn’t just offer a bid on new furnace they provided me with an affordable repair option. They were fast, friendly and easy to work with.

I received fantastic service and the technician was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Luckily it was just a controller board that burnt out and they were able to get the parts locally.

Reliable service with excellent customer service! We purchased our natural gas furnace and AC unit several years ago to replace our old oil furnace. From purchase to install, to annual tune ups, Pioneer has been fantastic to work with. We highly recommend Pioneer Gas Furnace for your heating and cooling needs.

Pioneer installed our furnace during prior ownership of the house, so we called after we had an issue with smoke and a burning smell in our home that set off all the fire alarms. Mike came out and checked the furnace, walking me through all the steps. Our furnace was in good condition but the air filter we had was too small, so he gave us a new filter and determined that the problem was likely some debris going past the filter and hitting the heat exchanger. He also checked out our vents and gave me some tips on how to keep them clean. When he left, our furnace was running as normal with no smell!

Their whole team was extremely friendly and reassuring after such a stressful event and I'll be calling them back for maintenance in the future!

Our old Portland home only had central head and with the summers getting warmer and warmer I knew I needed to get an A/C unit installed. I reached out to Pioneer Gas Furnace about 3-4 months ago and the lady I spoke to on the phone was actually able to give me a rough estimate which was great! I got multiple bids and no other company was able to give me even a rough estimate over the phone. Mike (who I believe is the owner) came by my home a couple of weeks later and was nothing but professional and kind. He thoroughly explained the situation and gave me a few quotes to choose from. All well within the range of the rough estimate! Mike was not sales-y at all (which almost every other company was) and gave me a clear picture of what to expect with each option. He even said one of the lower cost options would be perfectly fine because my house didn’t need the top shelf A/C units due to it being single story and not huge. It was so relieving to just get honest answers. His bid came in well under the other bids and I booked the appointment. Fast forward two months later and the install goes 100% smoothly. Even the electrician they contracted with was wonderful. Everyone was professional and thorough in their work. I had bought a new thermostat prior to the appointment and they installed it for me at no additional cost! I can’t recommend Mike and his team enough. Pioneer installed a Carrier Infinity furnace in my house 2 years ago with the superior bid to the other contractors. It's been running great. Their customer service is awesome. Anytime I call with a question, they are friendly and quick to answer.
This weekend, the tube attached to the water pump that goes to the outside of the house froze, which shuts down any furnace. I contacted Mike in the evening and he directed me what needed fixed but I wasn't able to accomplish it. He came here this morning and left me with a solution that I can use every winter when we get a storm like this.

The installed AC seems to be working fine, although attention to detail/aesthetics and regard for your home is utterly lacking--Dents out of the walls and molding, even a chunk out of our hardwood floor. The ceiling and walls were covered with black finger prints. The vent in the sealing was initially left misaligned and with several sharpie markings visible. They were responsive to fixing this, but initially no-showed that appointment. Second time out, was much better alignment, although still needing touch up. After scrubbing fingerprints off the ceiling a second time and a new chunk out of our stairway wall, opting to mend it ourselves.
Customer service reps are friendly, but inter-company communication seems to be lacking.

Bud and Mike put in my a/c in 2002 and Mike came out in 2024 to replace the system. Everything step was flawless, well explained and reasonable. I received bids twice what my install was with Pioneer. I recommend them without question. Customer for life.
