So Satisfied with this team. Very knowledgeable and professional. I will pass along the great experience we had with the installation of our HVAC system. We are really happy went with Adam Home Services.

As first time home owners in a 100 year old house, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Ian did an amazing job answering all our questions, helped us diagnose an issue with a radiator and explained everything as he serviced the boiler. We ended up signing up for a maintenance program because of Ian - there was no pressure, he just earned our trust.

Water heater expansion tank was given as the source of my water heater leak by tech. Price quote to replace was ridiculously high. Came down in cost. I later contacted to ask what MAKE and MODEL expansion tank is provided, and to reroute water line so tank is not hanging on pipe and is vertical. Absolutely no follow up call or answer after MULTIPLE attempts by me. POOR SERVICE.

UPDATE 11-17-2025: Calling the given number puts anyone into an AI customer service voice that is not a person and in no way helpful if you have questions or need help beyond very basic info - which is why most would call in anyway. Very frustrating for a customer and more work for us where it should not be. It took forever to get more details on an estimate of repair, details that anyone would want to know and more than one sentence of "we are going to replace an expansion tank".
Overall and in the end, response time from this company is nonexistence, communication quality is exceedingly subpar, prices are insanely high and padded, and you have little to no options to get needed info or follow up because it seems no person there does what they say or cares. They can do and be better, they simply choose not to. Beware.

Matt was friendly and knowledgeable. He completed the maintenance on my heating system and let me know of future options for my aging hot water heaters. All in all a good appointment, I would recommend Adam Home Services.

Ian W was great. Fixed my furnace quickly and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and recommended multiple ways to take care of my HVAC system long-term. Appreciate all the help.

My repair man, Ian, was excellent. He talked us through the possible issues that our gas furnace was having while he worked to check a number of things. It ended up only being the igniter. Everything else was ok. It probably burned out due to the allergin filter not having enough return flow. He's very nice, respectful, and professional. I'm glad to have our heat back on.

Elijah did a great job in servicing our HVAC system for regular maintenance. He is very professional and knowledgeable which gives me confidence in the work he’s doing. Thank you!

Matt went above and beyond. He quickly diagnosed the issue for our 33-year-old furnace and took enough internal pictures to send to my business landlord for new furnace consideration. Kind and thorough.

Mike did an amazing job. Courteous respectful and got the job done. I was able to do my work remotely without any problems while he worked Adams mechanical has been our go to for over 20 years.

Mr.Ly is without a doubt, a wonderful spokesman for your company. He is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and has a great sense of humor. Jesus and Elijah were timely, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. They replaced our antiquated heating unit with a new energy-efficient heating system. The guys are amazing and very pleasant. Kudos to everyone at Adam (another big shout out to Andrew and Matt for our new hot water heater and backup sump unit. They too, were amazing!) for helping us out (time and time again!). Ralph and Perry were awesome! They stopped by to help advise on a punch list of items and home improvement projects, and it was immediately clear they really know their stuff. They took the time to walk through everything with me, explain options in plain English, and point out what actually mattered versus what was just “nice to have.” No upsell, no pressure, just honest guidance and practical solutions. They were professional, punctual, and super easy to work with.

UPDATE: we were so pleased with the the professionalism and fast and thorough service , mom called again to have our hot water heater replaced and the sump pump that stopped working. We will continue to use their services as needed.

What a great experience!! Our toilet shattered last night. Called first thing this morning. Received a call back within 5 minutes. Martin came within an hour after that and had a new toilet ready to go within about an hour and a half. Super nice, efficient, and fast service. Mom was pleased and happy with everything she will definitely be calling to use for future service. Thank you!! We will be referring.

I received excellent service from Andrew. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, care, and real attention to detail. Andrew arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and made sure the job was done right. The level of courtesy and respect was outstanding, and the quality of work was even better. I’m truly impressed and grateful.

We hired Adam Mechanical to install a new residential steam heating system in our home at a cost of over $50,000, replacing an older Weil-McLain steam system. Based on prior experience—Adam Mechanical previously completed an installation at our church that was done well—we expected the same level of professionalism and workmanship. Unfortunately, our residential experience fell far short of expectations.

Immediately after installation, several serious issues became apparent. The automatic water feeder was extremely loud, audible throughout the entire house. In addition, the pipes produced excessive and disruptive noise, creating what can only be described as constant pandemonium. Importantly, our previous steam system did not exhibit any of these problems, despite being significantly older.

When we raised concerns, the installer attributed the noise to the age of the house, which is located in Overbrook Farms, a designated historic district. Unsatisfied with this explanation, we hired an independent mechanical engineer to assess the system. He identified multiple installation deficiencies, including:
• Failure to replace steam traps, which should have been addressed as part of a proper system replacement
• Incorrect pitch on at least one newly installed pipe
• Installation choices that contributed directly to noise and performance issues

Rather than correcting these issues as part of the original installation, Adam Mechanical attempted to charge an additional $10,000 to address the noise problems. We declined, as these issues were not present prior to their installation and appear to stem from incomplete or improper work.

Adam Mechanical also brought in a representative from Weil-McLain, who stated he was present only to observe and not to opine on the noise. However, he did identify that:
• The water pressure meter was set incorrectly
• Copper piping had been installed in locations where it should not have been

Since that visit, Adam Mechanical has been largely non-responsive, and our attempts to obtain resolution have gone unanswered.

Additionally, if wall access is required during installation, customers should get written confirmation that wall repairs will be handled properly. In our case, Adam Mechanical did not want to restore the walls and proposed having one of their technicians perform the repairs—something we found unacceptable.

Overall, we are deeply disappointed—not only by the quality of workmanship, but also by the dismissive and condescending attitude we encountered when legitimate concerns were raised.

Advice to potential customers:
If you use Adam Mechanical—especially for steam system installations—make sure they are not simply swapping equipment, but fully inspecting and updating all associated components (traps, piping pitch, pressure settings). Get all repair responsibilities clearly documented in writing.

This was a costly project, and the outcome has been extremely frustrating

He was extremely helpful in explaining the issues I was experiencing with my HVAC system and took the time to make sure I understood what was going on.
