I called Lauterborn Electric with putting in a Ring doorbell for security reasons. Due to the high risk sensitivity of my situation, two wonderful electricians came out promptly to install the doorbell! They were very sweet, professional, informative, kind and down to earth. Because I have an older home that needs fixing up, I will be a returning customer! Thank you so much! You guys rock!

Larry and his crew are just amazing. They solved 4 electrical issues in an hour when it had taken 2 other electricians half a day to incompletely solve one. They’re also very professional, and a joy to have in your house. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Thanks!!!

My experience with Lauterborn Electric was nothing but positive. They were very quick to respond to my initial inquiry and scheduled time to give me an estimate right away. The inspection was incredibly thorough and they were able to explain everything clearly. They are friendly, fastidious, and professional. They left my house spotless and with everything now in working order. I would highly recommend.

Larry and his sons are the BEST!! Larry was extremely responsive to my request- I think he had his team come to my house for an estimate and to go through what I needed, within 2-3 days from my inquiry. They then came to the house to put in about five light fixtures and two chandeliers within the week.
They were professional, fast, performed quality work while being fun to work with (“work with” as in me talking to them while they were putting everything together and installing).
I will be using them for every electric need I have in the future. Highly recommended.

Larry and his team replaced the knob and tube wiring and replaced the panel in our recently-purchased Philly row home, and I could not be happier with the job they did. From the moment I reached out, I felt like they were going to take care of us, and I was never disappointed. Larry was one of the few electricians who could give me a ballpark estimate before we had access to the house, and he stuck to that estimate throughout the entire process. He explained everything to me, was open, honest, and transparent about everything that would need to be done. His work was always professional - no corners were cut, and he ended up cutting far less holes in my walls than I had anticipated. When the handyman came in to quote me for the patching that was required after all the new wiring, he was impressed at the job that Larry did and the cost of patching was below the price window that he originally estimated!

Lastly, and I can't stress this enough, Larry and his team were great communicators. We had a lot of back and forth throughout the process, over the phone, via email, via text, and I could always get a hold of Larry when I needed to. I knew when he was coming and going, and when he committed to being at our house, he was there. Everything was done on schedule!

My wife and I have had an overwhelming and stressful experience buying an old home in the city and navigating first time home ownership. Lauterborn Electric was an incredible silver lining throughout this process.

I called Lauterborn Electric and spoke to Larry about a microwave issue flipping the circuit breaker. After asking me a few questions on the phone and texting him a picture, he was able to give me ideas on how to diagnose the situation without needing a home visit and was able to figure out it wasn't actually an electric issue. I really appreciated that he was willing to give me that advice over the phone rather than charge a visit fee and now my issue is solved! Thank you, Larry!

This company is fantastic and now I will be a returning customer for life! Larry and Ryan were very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They explained everything to me and got the job done which needed to be brought up to code. This is in addition to Susan who was so lovely on the phone when I called her the day before and Larry senior who listened to my garbage disposal problem on the phone. Yes they are coming back in the future to fix my other electrical issues… just as soon as I find my list with all my electrical “to do” projects.

This is the kind of family business that is hard to find. Larry makes it extremely easy with most communication via text to set everything up. His sons came out who were so kind and professional. They were so attentive to make sure the job was done right. We will surely be coming back again!

We hired Lauterborn Electric after my fiance and I bought an old fiexer-upper and decided we should get the whole house rewired. We spoke with a few electricians but chose to hire Lauterborn Electric, and it's one of the best decisions we have made since buying our home. Larry, Larry, and Ryan were amazing at maintaining a clear line of communication from day one. Before starting any work, we walked the house with Ryan who made a few small suggestions about where we had planned for switches and outlets, and those suggestions made a huge improvement to how our home functions. We did not expect that added service and are very thankful for that! The day we KNEW we hired the right people was when we came to the house after the first day of work, and they had left the place cleaner than they found it! They always swept up, kept the work tidy, and treated our home like it was their own. Pricing on everything was fair and transparent and we had no surprises. It is very safe to say that we HIGHLY recommend Lauterborn Electric, and will be referring them to our friends!

I hired Lauterborn Electric to wire in a couple new light fixtures, as well as install a number of ceiling fans throughout a new home I purchased. From the start, Larry was exceptional. He patiently answered all my questions (and there were many) about the project and quoted a very fair price. The job was completed in a timely fashion and I was extremely impressed with how clean the job was. I had 3 new lights wired into ceilings that didn't previously have lights and they magically did it without making all but one small hole. I've had electrically done in other homes and this was not the case during those jobs. I would highly recommend. I would definitely hire Larry and his team again in the future if I need anymore work done.

Addendum
I would add 5 more stars if I could! Had an issue with a 3-way switch a few months after the initial work Larry and his team did. Larry quickly came out, diagnosed the problem determining the issue was a defective dimmer switch, and swapped it out. Larry is a pleasure to work with. I’ve dealt with many trades and contractors over the years and I can honestly say he’s one of the best.

I had a very positive experience with Lauterborn Electric. They rewired my entire house and in addition to the outlets, service, fixtures, and breaker box, made several suggestions to improve the electrical system that I hadn't considered but am glad to have. They were professional, knowledgeable, and communicative, and kept wall and ceiling damage to a minimum. Considering the size of the project (1000 sq ft plus basement), the price was reasonable. Highly recommended!

Lauterborn Electric replaced outlets and light switches plus replaced three ceiling lamps, one of which was tricky, at my house. They arrived when they said they would arrive and they cleaned up after they were finished. Highly recommend. They did a fantastic job.

I would recommend Lauterborn Electric to anyone that needs any type of electric repairs. We needed a whole new electric supply installed (200 amp service) and they did it yesterday as promised. Larry and the team were professional, fast, up-front about costs, up-front (and accurate) about timing, and flexible finding solutions for some non standard issues I had. I had confidence throughout the entire process they knew exactly what they were doing and that I was being kept informed about any concerns/changes. Their proactive approach to communication and transparency sets them apart from their peers in my opinion. Their customer service and professionalism is matched only by their depth of expertise in their field. Hard to imagine a better experience, 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

I had an issue with the electric in my house. After watching some YouTube videos and a helpful neighbor coming over I still wasn’t able to fully diagnose and fix the problem. I placed a request on the Lauterborn Electric website late at night and woke up to an email the next morning (on a Saturday) getting back to me. After exchanging a few emails and texts back and forth not only were they able to diagnose my problem but were able to walk me through some very simple steps on how I could fix the problem myself. I have rarely ever experienced such great customer service and will 100% be reaching out to them in the future with any of my electric needs!
