Great customer service and very knowledgeable group, we've used this crew to tackle a couple home projects since moving to Philadelphia. Larry's team got these beautiful pendant lights hung for us about a month ago. Overall great experience working with them.

Second time having them out! Cant ask for a more fair price and quality of work. Recently needed new dedicated lines and a new electric box. Did a solid job with no problems. I appreciate their candidness and professional demeanor.

Larry, Larry, and Ryan just finished rewiring our home yesterday and we could not be more satisfied with their work. We used Lauterborn Electric to completely rewire our entire home. The guys did a great job. When we purchased our home in South Philly we were told that everything, including the electric, was up to date. Fast forward to us taking out some crumbling plaster only to discover that the entire home still had knob and tube wiring. We contacted a few different companies to get quotes. Larry came out for an in-home walkthrough and gave us a competitive quote for the work. We went with them because they had great reviews, were local to the city, and they had a positive attitude. They're also a family owned company which is reassuring. They secured the necessary permit from the city for us and had the rough wiring done just a few days after that. They let us know exactly what we had to do on our end before they came back for the final install and completion. On the day of the final install they were patient with us when we had to run out and get some last minute supplies that we should have had on hand. They did one final test, made sure the dimmers dimmed, and sent an email explaining which switches were which since their handwriting was tough to read. All in all, I couldn't recommend Lauterborn Electric enough. If we ever need any electric work down the road we'll be calling them again.

UPDATE 12/11/2024:
We had Lauterborn Electric come back out to our home for a 3rd job. Larry Sr came by a few days earlier to walk though the job and prepare a quote for me. Since I wanted a few different options, he provided me with an estimate that let me pick and choose what I wanted. On the service day, Larry Jr and Ryan arrived right on time and got to work. They wrapped up earlier than expected for the price quoted. If you are looking for qulaity work performed by local, licensed electricians, I cannot recommend Lauterborn Electric enough.

We were having major electrical issues and for several weeks and could not get anyone to come out and look at it. This crew was in touch immediately and kindly responded to all texts. They arrived earlier than expected and finished the job before the end of the work day. I sent my brother, who is an electrician, pictures of the completed job and he said, “really nice clean job. Well worth the money.” I would recommend them to anyone.

Worth every penny. These guys are the real deal. Kind, talented, expert electricians. Family business - pleasure to be around. You won’t regret hiring them. They even cleaned out a light they noticed had bugs in it … I mean, c’mon.

Lauterborn Electric was great! Easy to communicate with, professional, and did an amazing job with our light fixture! If I need any more electrical work done, I will 💯 percent call them again!

Larry and his team were fantastic to work with! He was responsive, on time, and cleaned up the job site perfectly. He replaced an old ceiling light with 3 new LED’s, ran a new dedicated circuit to our backyard outlet, and tested the other existing fixtures to make sure they were correctly wired, all in a morning. Larry and his son even took the time to locate the ceiling lights exactly where we wanted them before installing, which is a first! Amazing experience and a fair price, I would highly recommend them!

When is the worst time to have a complex electrical issue pop up out of nowhere? Right before July 4th during a heatwave in Philadelphia, of course.

We found Lauterborn Electric on Google and we were desperate. Larry and his team did an incredible job resolving our issue in a very timely manner and we couldn’t be more thankful!

They fixed our corroded electrical equipment from water that was entering through a service cable that we didn’t know about. We only had half power and we most certainly needed full 100 AMP power to beat off the summer heat.

Lauterborn Electric installed a new service cable sleeved in PVC conduit on the exterior to prevent a similar issue from arising again. Along with a new meter socket, they installed a 30 circuit panel with a new breaker for every existing circuit properly sized and grounded the main electrical service. Best of all, now our panel is labeled correctly as it was sort of like guessing before we hired them.

We can’t thank Lauterborn Electric enough and should any electrical issues arise in the future, Larry and his family owned and operated business will be the first and only company we call!

These guys were fantastic! Family owned. Price was perfect. And they worked quickly. Larry and his sons came in, addressed the situation, and worked diligently. While also respecting the space around them. Another electrician came in before them and started the work and then disappeared on us.
Larry assured me every step of the way that he wasn’t going anywhere. And that they were going to fix this. Can’t wait to do business again! (I add before and after pics of the mess they walked into and how they fixed it.)

I will choose Lauterborn every time - they do efficient, reasonably priced, and high quality work. They responded almost immediately when I asked about getting a light moved, came the next day, AND did it with really minimal damage to my ceiling. Would highly recommend!

I had an electrical problem at my house. Extremely fast and efficient service. everything was done after the weekend. Everyone I had to deal with was very professional and helpful. Will definitely be using him again !!

Do not bother to call this company.. he will tell you to get few quotes together with all details and scope of work and that he will beat any price.. in other words I don't want to work so let someone else do all the foot work and ill beat the price. I could respect that, but what I cant respect is that after doing all of this I emailed the 3 quotes and after a week no one ever reached out and when I called the comedian on the other line had me read to him the 3 quotes, like yo I just sent you an email with all the details!! how professional right? he then tells me "forget about the lowest quote and the second lowest is about right but I will charge about 1000 more ill come down and see the location but is definitely gonna be more than the second lowest quote" you never even came to see my location and you been in business for over 100 years. Yes he told me they been in business for over 100 years!! LMAOOOO what a waste of my time

As a former construction owner, Al Phillapone electrical contractors are the type of company I want to do business with. I had major work done, their professionalism was impeccable. If you need an electrical contractor, I’d advise you to call them. You won”t be sorry!!!

Needed a minor, last minute electrical fix for my basement light. Phil appeared as scheduled, and early, so we didn't have to wait around all day. He was efficient and fast! I have since discovered they do many home needs. I will use again.

I contacted this company for flickering lights. At most times you could hear the electricity in the walls. My family and I were at very high risk. Joe came out today and did a phenomenal job. He replaced the grounded wired, the meter box, and installed a new circuit breaker in the basement. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need. Thank you guys so much for everything.
