I recently had my AC unit checked and cleaned. The tech Josh did an awesome job. He arrived on time, explained the work he was doing, and provided recommendations for how to keep the unit running efficiently. Will definitely use them again.

I use 5 star air for all my plumbing and hvac needs. Today I had my garbage disposal replaced by Dan from 5 star air . Dan was very professional and took time to explain everything to me. Thank you Dan and Thank you 5 star air!

Very friendly and knowledgeable, and they came quickly to fix our water heater! Dave and Bryan were really helpful and explained the problem and were able to fix it. I will definitely use them again and call them first!

The job I needed wasn't major, but still needed done. Brian came and assessed what needed to be done. Luckily, he was the one who came to repair it. He showed up on time and got it done very quickly. He's a great guy, very professional, and knows his stuff. Highly recommend and I will call if I ever need something.

Call these guys for your service needs. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Dave is a skilled, honest, and pleasant-mannered technician. He had our AC up and running in less than two hours; it would have been less, but he was handling calls to the main office from his mobile that day, as well.

Another local HVAC company with a very good rating and reputation had previously sent a tech out that replaced the electronic board inside, but he took one look at the AC unit outside and said we needed a new unit. Then, that company priced out a new unit with labor between $4000 and $6000 depending on which new AC unit we wanted based on brand and SEER (efficiency) rating.

Dave came in and assured us he could fix it...that day. Parts on-hand. He replaced the parts in the AC unit. Then he looked at the HVAC system in the house and confirmed that the tech from the other company had not wired the system properly, so the furnace was not operational. Dave fixed that, too. Then he repaired the severed wire to the thermostat that the tech from the other company had cut.

For just a few hundred dollars, the issue was fixed. Instantly, my stress level decreased. The heat and humidity in the house dissipated and we were all comfortable. It didn't require thousands of dollars and a new AC unit, just someone skilled and honest enough to do the job right. Dave delivered! 5-Star gets a five-star rating from us. Don't bother calling the other guys. Call 5-Star!

I want to take a moment to recommend 5-Star Air for your HVAC and plumbing needs. Within one week, I had issues with my water heater and my furnace. Through that experience, I have met Dave, Steve and Brian. Each of them spent time explaining issues to me and answering my many questions. Their integrity is obvious and their commitment to excellence equates to jobs done right the first time. Dan V is the best. He shows up on time, communicates well and does the job well. We've had him come multiple times and every time it's been an amazing job. Dave is great as well but nothing beats Dan coming to our house and getting the job done.

Our technician was very professional and helpful! He was able to determine the cause of our problem and fix our furnace quickly and get our heat back up and running, which was much appreciated! He was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining to me what needed to be done. I would highly recommend him in the future!

Quickly diagnosed the problem & fixed the issue. Daniel V was friendly & patient explaining what he had to do & replaced & fixed the problem in timely matter. Definitely will use them again.

I had both Dan's come out to look at some plumbing stuff and replace my furnace. They were excellent. The furnace was a nightmare job by the last person who lived in my apartment, but Dan got it done the right way.

Brian was very professional and efficient. I needed a new float valve and a new seat (the old one was stuck and I couldn’t remove it). I was very pleased with the workmanship and that he was able to fit me in the same day. Very impressed.

My furnace went out and Steve showed up and had it back in service the same day, within 1 hour at a very reasonable price. Used this company when my hot water heater went out and received superior service this time as well. Will certainly be using 5 star again and will be referring them to my friends.

Dan came out twice because we had a few jobs that we had to use our home insurance for. Quick, clean and efficient. Great guy and does great work. Even cleaned the area he was working in.

After 4 no show appointments by another plumber (without even calling to say they weren't going to show up), I found 5-Star Air through Yelp. A few messages back and forth to outline what we needed (a new gas fireplace hooked up), we had an estimate, date and time established. The serviceman showed up exactly within the window I was given, looked at the work to be done, quoted an exact price (by the way it was actually LESS than the estimate...that NEVER happens!) and got to work. The tech was totally professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. Few hours later we were enjoying our newly installed fireplace! Great job and many thanks to 5-Star Air. These guys are now our "go to" plumbers!! Follow up: the owner even called to be sure we were 100% satisfied with the job.
I'm not much of a review writer but trust me...if you find a good, reliable plumber you grab on to them and keep their number handy!

Do not ever hire this company. Showed up after 10 mins of direction- the property was across the street from their office… and because we aren’t aware of traditional processes for sale of home, simply picking up paperwork from the borough, the owner Bob yelled at me, told his techs to leave without doing any work, and sent my calls to voicemail unwilling to man-up and conduct business. He is extremely unprofessional, cocky and goes out of his way to alienate clients. With many many other plumbers in the area, do no choose Starr plumbing.
