HVAC reviews in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Staab & Sons, Inc is a wonderful Family business. When my Ac kicked the bucket they rushed over and assessed the issue and gave it to us straight. Gave us reasonable options with an upgrade and had the new one installed in a timely matter I am forever grateful 🙏

Our AC unit was completely broken and out of order, after calling them, they scheduled to come in and check what was wrong with it the same day we reached out to them. It was fixed within the next day and a half! They were super quick, and now the AC is better than ever.

I had very good experienc with this compamy, They checked the system very carefully before they started and offer me a very good quote. The system status turned out to be much worse than we expected, and they adjusted their plan and installed a new system which works very well.

Great service

The office operator was vary rude she acted as if her time was more important then the customer!!!.

I would rather freeze to death than give this business any money. Terrible customer service, terrible work...cannot believe they're even in business. If I could give negative stars I would.

Called for a routine check up of my furnace and AC the lady Pam was so helpful and kind in scheduling at my convenience. Would recommend this company highly.

-He can fix it! ( I had 5 different AC companies come over to my house and try to fix my unit "they could not fix this unit") "This guy came over & fixed it in an hour." -Everybody else told me they couldn't figure it out and I need to buy a new unit. (I'm using this guy from now on.) His names Jim.

Had both my circuit board on my furnace fail and my compressor fail on my condensing unit fail within the same 12 months. Jim came and was able to fix both of them at fair prices. He was very friendly and professional.

I called and emailed Equitable Heating about scheduling an appointment to have a furnace tune up. They did not return my calls and the email response stated that I would have to call to make an appointment. Second phone call was during normal business hours but a message was left with their answering service. Never heard back from. Very poor service in getting them to call you back.

Had an issue with my AC not producing cold air. I called Equitable Heating & Air Conditioning and got someone on the phone right away. They were able to have a technician out to my house within a few hours and he was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He completed the repairs quick & efficiently and had my house cooling down in no time. The price was fair and he was honest about it upfront, it is expected as these services do not come cheap. Overall, I am very satisfied with the services and would call again if I needed to.

Had this company come out and check my boiler. The tech told me I needed an entire new boiler even though it’s not old and that he can’t fix it. I believed what he said thought about it for a few days and decided to call someone else. The other company came and all that was wrong was I needed a new thermostat. Equitable told me I needed an 11,000 boiler! I asked the new company how much a boiler costs and he said $6,000! DO NOT USE EQUITABLE! They are just trying to sell new furnaces and are liars!

I would not recommend this business under any circumstances. My furnace is only 4 years old and stopped blowing hot air. We requested that a tech come out and see if he could fix things. He looked for a few minutes before confidently telling me that I needed a whole new furnace and it was going to be $6,285.00. I was shocked, but accepted what he said. I was grateful he didn't charge me the standard service fee to come out. Prior to scheduling the new install, I thought I better get more than one quote. Thank god I did. A salesman from another local H&C company came by and quickly let me know there was no need to replace my furnace, it just needed repaired. He also told me even if I did need a new furnace - it would only be $4,500. After the salesman left, a tech came and fixed the problem in 40 minutes for free under their "second look policy". These guys are either total crooks, or have no idea what they are doing. Please patron another business!

Equitable Heating's employee Dave caused me much anxiety and frustration. Don't waste your time and money. They installed my furnace in 2018.
I recently needed repairs. It was still covered by a 10 year warranty.
Dave replaced a part but it was still not heating continuously. Dave came back the next day but the problem continued.
I attempted to contact Dave numerous times over 2 days but he never got back to me. Dave's voice mail states something similar to "... I'll call you back ASAP. Have a blessed day." What BS !
I had another HVAC company come out a day later and they solved my problem. It turns out it was a dirty flame sensor. They cleaned it for no charge since it was still under warranty. -
Standing where history was written is a surreal experience! The tour of Independence Hall was incredibly insightful. If you want to feel the founding spirit of America, this is a must-visit. Pro tip: Book your tickets in advance!

We looked at many places to install our 2nd AC/Heating system. We chose Climatech not just because they were the best priced, but we had a good feeling about them from the initial meeting. It didnt feel like we were hearing a sales pitch and pushed to choose wall units like other places have done. The guys that came to work at the house, and Mike, were very nice and respectful. We saved over $14k(they seriously are the best priced), got the option we wanted, and they finished a day earlier than expected. I would 100% recommend Climatech and we will be using them for all of our HVAC services from now on.

Had to replace my 22 year old Furnace and A/C ….. Called Climatech and they were able to come out for an estimate right away… Sales Rep Mr Betlyn gave a thorough run down of what I needed and gave options for types of systems.. After I made a decision installation was set up … Installers arrived when the said the would and did a great job fitting the new Lenox elite and A/C to my existing system.. so far system is working as it supposed to…. Climatech was my first estimate and ended up being the best deal…. I would recommend them to anyone…

Our air went out 20 minutes before our out of town family walked in our door. I called a few places and their quotes were outrageously high. Climatech came in with the least expensive quote. On top of that, they were able to squeeze me in that week. Steve and Alex came exactly at 8:30 and worked all day until everything was installed. They also stayed for a little while after to make sure everything was running smoothly and asked if I had any questions. They were super nice and professional. They did the job, cleaned up, and everything looks awesome and works great. I am so appreciative to the girls that scheduled us in and the techs that came out. Thank you!!!

My 30 year old furnace died just when we had sub zero temperatures coming. I had 3 companies in my home and got 3 bids. Climatech was excellent from start to finish. They understood my need and urgency of a new furnace and the only company that was able to offer me a 96% efficient furnace. The other 2 said it couldn’t be done. From sales to office to installation crew everyone was professional and caring. Everyone was very knowledgeable and the installation was extremely professional, fast and well done. Everything done was well explained and area was tidy after the job was complete. I would recommend Climatech to anyone. Kudos to Mike Horner, Jennifer, Alan and Kevin!
