We used Pankow Construction a few years ago to do a full remodel of our kitchen which included a full demo, plus moving walls, adding windows even rerouting air conditioner ducting. A computerized plan was drawn up to let us see exactly what our new kitchen space would look like with new cabinets, appliances, etc. The end result was a beautiful and extremely efficient kitchen - exactly what we wanted! We recently sold our home and feel that what put us ahead of the competition had to be our kitchen! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rob and his crew and plan to use them again for a remodel of our new house. Sincerely, Gene and Maryellen

The Pankow Construction team transformed our Arcadia home with an extensive remodel (removing the roof and raising ceiling heights and adding almost 1K sq ft., with multiple new spaces and vastly improved layout) The 3D imaging was very helpful in seeing the team’s vision and the potential outcome. The team was fantastic to work with and Rob (owner) played an active and engaged role throughout the process showing patience with challenging clients (my wife and I). We continue to get compliments on our home and the team even helped with an item long after the warranty period expired. The final result was reflective of the collaboration between homeowner, construction team and designer. At the end, we were able to make the home what we wanted and stay in the neighborhood we love. In my opinion, the remodel process is emotional and challenging but eventually very rewarding. I would recommend without hesitation the Pankow team to help you through the journey.

Fily and his crew built our ADU. He is easy to work with and responsive. Mario and Nacho are courteous and does great work.
Fily worked well with the inspectors, architect and engineer. The construction happened relatively smoothly and we have a space that we're excited to have. I'd go back to Fily for other construction projects.

Fily and his workers upgraded my kitchen about a year ago. I waited to post a review because I wanted to be sure everything really is high quality and sturdy. And it is! Nothing has changed color, chipped off, moved, etc. It truly is as Fily says: the best materials! Everyone is "wow"ed when they see the kitchen; and it was a tough project because my house is almost 100 years old, walls had to be demolished and the floor and selling had to be rebuilt completely. So trust in this company's quality!

Amelfig Builders, with Fily at the helm, is the best. Fily is excellent in every way. He listens intently to you to understand your concept and what you want to achieve. His priority is to give you exactly what you want, so he discusses everything with you – no surprises. Also, he and his main crew, Mario and Nacho, as well as the subcontractors he brings in, are geared to perform their crafts to perfection.
I called Fily when I was ready to remodel my 1950’s kitchen. It was a complete restructure because we had to remove a wall so I could have an island – which I had wanted forever! When Fily came, he listened, understood what I was trying to do, asked relative questions, offered alternatives, and when he explored the relative spaces, asking the right questions and making suggestions again, I knew he knew what he was doing. And, boy, was I right!! We completely opened up my kitchen, beautiful new cabinets and appliances, and I finally got my beautiful, long-awaited island! Everyone loves my kitchen, but nobody more than me!!! It’s gorgeous and a real working kitchen, a place for friends and family. With the kitchen, we also remodeled the laundry room and main bathroom (which was also a bit of a restructure), adding a beautiful drop-dead French stone shower!
Once you get Fily, you don’t let go. So we then installed all new windows, remodeled the master bath (another beautiful shower and jacuzzi tub), put in new flooring, ripped out wallpaper and painted the interior (adding beautiful base moldings and new doors), updated all the switches and plugs, etc., etc. - - bringing my 1950’s home into the 21st century! Totally beautiful, totally amazing.
Very important. Fily and his crew and subcontractors are really respectful and protective. They take great pains in sealing off rooms adjoining the construction area and covering all your furniture and belongings. This, too, is done to perfection. Fily supervises, double-checks and works with everyone, especially you, to meet and exceed your expectations.

We were a little nervous since we were doing the biggest renovation job we've ever done. We wanted to convert our 2 car garage into an ADU - so we got a few bids - Fily with Amelfig Builders gave us a quote that was right in the middle - not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Throughout the project, he was very responsive, honest and communicated everything that needed to happen and guided us through such a large project. He was very easy to work with and did a lot of coordinating digitally (google docs, spreadsheets, photos, videos , etc) which we preferred given our busy work schedules. I'm glad we choose to work with Fily and he and his guys have great pride in their work and made sure we were happy every step of the way. They were on time and basically on budget (we added some bells and whistles along the way and did some extra renovating on the main house that added some time and cost). Highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVE our new kitchen and we could not be happier with our experience with Amelfig Builders! When we decided to renovate our kitchen, we asked our friends for contractor recommendations, but all of them had had terrible experiences with their contractors. So we did our own research and met with nearly a dozen contractors. Many of them were just salesmen who didn’t actually seem to have significant experience, while others insisted that we needed to totally scrap everything in the kitchen (which we didn’t feel was correct).

Amelfig immediately stood out - Fily clearly had a ton of experience and knew what he was doing. He didn’t want to cut corners and he didn’t try to upsell us on things. He was responsive, communicative, reliable, gave us helpful suggestions, and his prices were reasonable. All of his workers (especially Mario and Nacho) and his subcontractors were fantastic - totally skilled and detail-oriented, and they never left the job site a mess. Fily and his team finished all the work exactly on time and on budget, with minimal change orders. Nobody enjoys going through kitchen renovations (and eating gross microwave food for two months), but Fily and his team made it as painless as possible. And most importantly, our new kitchen is absolutely gorgeous!

We just celebrated our first Thanksgiving where our whole family cooked in our beautiful new kitchen, and I was so thankful for Fily and his team for all their hard work! :)

I solicited quotes from a number of companies and found Best Choice to be the most responsive and competitive. Beata was very helpful in setting up the contract and all the personnel were very skilled and professional. They did exterior stucco, fascia
and eave repairs & replacement as needed including application of Cool Wall coating.

They also did extensive repairs to my deck and it looks better than it did when it was new. I’m very pleased with the results & will use them again when other projects come up.

From an impressive presentation to methodical expertise, Best Choice truly is the Best Choice. Project manager Dave handled everything, including a minor electrical issue and an accommodation preference. Robert and his crew did a complete and expert job painting our home.
