The tech came out for a quote fairly quickly, which was the most positive part of my interaction with this company. I was charged a $49 dispatch fee which I initially felt was fair. However, when the tech came out, he gave me extremely high estimates--$265 for a faucet replacement! Up to $8000 for a hot water tank! He came out on Friday and said he would email me quotes by Saturday. It's been a week and a half and I still have not received the email.

Since I'm a landscape architect by trade, I understand the importance of hiring a responsive company that performs quality work and the value that brings to a project. I hired Phillips to perform the rough plumbing for my new home because after meeting with the owner, I felt they were the best fit & checked all the boxes. They did a wonderful job and really treated it like it was their own home they were working on. They did a great job & I couldn't be happier with how smooth things went & how the work turned out.
After work was complete, I also retained their services to consult on one of my very unique landscape projects & the advice I received was invaluable. Do not hesitate to hire this company. They're great people/professionals who take pride in their work.

These guys are the best. I had an emergency! My sewer line collapsed and I needed someone right away. I called Phillips Plumbing and the owner John Phillips came down, looked at the job and provided me with an estimate within 48hrs. Their price was less than most estimates I received and was able to schedule the job and get the work done quickly. Thank you John and your awesome crew!!!!

Recently had some work done by Phillips Plumbing. They were great from beginning to end. Very professional, on time and thorough. I was recommended by a friend who also had wonderful things to say about the work done. If you are looking to have any work done you wont be disappointed.

I recently had a technician from this company come to my house to assess my 12-year-old heating machine, which had developed a leak. The technician inspected it, recommended replacing the machine due to its age, but also said he could order parts if I preferred a repair. After discussing it, I approved him to order the parts for the repair. A few days later, I received a quote by email, which i believe was reasonable but no call or follow-up regarding the repair schedule. So now, two weeks went by with no updates from the company. I called customer service to check on the status on the repair, I was told that because the technician had recommended replacement, they would not be proceeding with the repair even if that the option I decided to go with. I found this very frustrating, as I had discussed it with the tech and approved the repair. The lack of communication and unwillingness to honor my choice to fix the machine, despite the technician agreeing to order parts, was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend PHILLIPS PLUMBING & MECHANICAL if you’re looking for a service that values customer choices and keeps clients informed.

Excellent customer service! The process with Phillips is very fluid and well orchestrated. We were able to apply for 0% financing with their help.

The plumbers are friendly, empathetic to customer voice and needs and are excellent in what they do.

The gas heater setup is not only functional but also beautiful and is what I call “functional art” .

What’s more, they also have us two dinner ticket at a beautiful restaurant and I got to enjoy it with my husband.

Phillips plumbing always delivers the most professional service, and they are incredibly reliable and trustworthy. I never have any doubt, whenever I call them, the job is done correctly, quickly, and professionally. I wouldn't use any other plumbing company since finding them. I've had them do a few jobs over the years, mostly replacing water heaters in rental units and relocating water heaters. I can't recommend them more highly.

Predatory pricing . The price given was about 240. The total toilet install was 777. You told me that you charge by the task
No price list was offered to me. Your response is total rubbish. Have a good day. Honesty is the best policy.

They sold to gem. It makes sense now. Gem bought a into their baggage.

Has this placed changed owners in the past couple of years? I ask because I contacted them to get an estimate on a bathroom job. I asked and was assured the estimate would be free. So the guy comes out, does a cursory look at the project, says he can do it, mumbles that if he stays any longer I'll be charged a fee. ???? At least that's what it sounded like. So he went back out to his truck to write up an estimate and I had no chance to ask if the price he quoted included the trap. He comes back in and thinking I'd have a chance to ask my question, he shoves a paper in my face and says I owe $49, but he'll apply a $20 coupon so it'll only be $29. But I was told the estimate was free. To which he replied, but there is a dispatch fee. Wait, what? No one mentioned this to me on the phone so we both decided to call the office and were told that it was entered incorrectly and I wouldn't be charged. OK. Then he mumbled something about commission or something, folded the estimate, and was going to take the entire thing with him. Aren't I supposed to get a copy?? So he left and the next day I thought they'd be open, I called and spoke with the same guy who said it was an error that I was charged a fee. I said that I wanted clarification on whether or not the estimate included the necessary trap. The dispatcher said he'd leave a message for the plumber and get back to me. Didn't hear back so called again, guy acted like he didn't remember, took down the message, and again said he'd get back to me once he talked to the plumber. That was 1 week and 2 days ago. There's no way I'd do business with Philips again. They've gone way downhill since they did a big project for us a couple of years ago. Great workers, excellent work. Now, I don't recommend.

Serge came to our home to repair our toilet. He was very polite and, gave us a full update on the problem with our toilet and, what the cost of repair would be. He patiently answered our questions and, showed us exactly what was done when the job was completed. I rarely write a review and I take any recommendation that I make, very seriously.

We recently moved to East Greenwich RI from Massachusetts. Within a few weeks of moving in, we experienced several plumbing issues that needed to be addressed right away. Specifically, the master bath shower diverter stopped working, the garbage disposal needed to be replaced, the dishwasher needed to be replaced and the tank-less hot water heater was clogged and stopped working. We asked our real estate attorney for a recommendation, and he suggested Phillips Plumbing and Mechanical.

I called the company and the dispatcher made certain that she clearly understood our issues. She dispatched a highly skilled plumber who was able to fix (that same day) every issue outlined above. Before starting the work, the plumber told me exactly what needed to be done to ensure that the problems were fixed "long term" (not just for a while) and how much it would cost.

After completion, the plumber walked me through each issue and showed me what he did and why he did it. I was completely satisfied that I was dealing with a real professional.

Long story short, I'm writing this review and for any plumbing or mechanical work (including HVAC), no other company is permitted to do work on our home.

We had a major leak with our water heater, I called Phillips and they were able to have a technician at our home in less than 2 hours. Kevin did an excellent job installing the new water heater, explaining the work, costs of the job and the warranty included. I HIGHLY recommend Phillips for any plumbing services, what a great local family owned company here in Rhode Island.

Have used Phillips Plumbing for 9 years now for primary residence and rental property. They have done everything from change out an entire heating system, install and maintain split systems, replace water heaters, fix water main leak, change out mixing valves. Amazing response time. Quality work. In particular Serge is extremely polite and competent. Office staff always delivers.
