Our home is a recent new construction. We paid to have “professional” landscaping that we chose at the end of our build. It resulted in 5-6 dead trees/bushes, mulch with no weed barrier, and many other issues.
For the price we paid, these issues should have never arose.
Silas and his crew replaced dead trees/bushes, laid a weed barrier and poured river rock all while maintaining everything that was already in place. This job was bigger than we felt like we could manage so having a professional come in was our best decision.
We have future jobs in mind that we will definitely be using Gartman for.

During a recent wind storm, we were the casualty of one of our neighbor's trees. As you can see from the pics, it crashed down atop our still under construction, but nearly completed, home. 😢 As bad as that was, another substantially larger tree that was still standing, was completely lifting up out of the ground every time the wind blew and was ready to topple over onto the main structure of the house. 😟 We tried, in vain, to find an excavator who would come out and remove the trees for us on a weekend. No one would help us! A friend suggested that we call Gartman Landscaping and Excavation. Much to our surprise Silas Gartman answered our call on a Sunday morning and was out on our lot in about an hour with a large excavator, two chainsaws, and a very skilled helper. We can't thank Silas enough for answering our cries for help on a Sunday morning. What an amazing young man he is! He was able, with exacting precision, to remove the fallen tree from our roof, and drop the massive teetering tree down to the ground safely between two houses, two large patios/porches, and eight newly planted 14' Green Giant trees. It was an absolutely amazing feat to behold! Silas is super skilled, has amazing attention to detail, actually cared about our personal property, charged a very fair rate, and has wonderful manners too. He even removed all of the stumps, and filled in the resulting holes with dirt for us as well. We HIGHLY recommend Gartman Landscaping and Excavation! 👍

The crew from Gartman Landscaping did an excellent job replacing our railroad ties with a great looking retaining wall. They worked long hours to get the job done in just 2 days! They made sure we were well- informed about what was being done and sought our approval of every design decision. If we ever have another job for a landscaping company we would definitely use Silas and his crews again!

We had Gartman Landscaping replace the deck on the back of our house with a stamped concrete patio. Silas' crew did a great job demoing and hauling away the deck. They poured, stamped, and sealed the patio and we are very happy with the results.

We recently had Gartman Landscaping and Excavation grade and sod our yard, create a drainage culvert to control water runoff, build a rock edge across our brow, create a flagstone walkway and patio on the bluff and planted 42 trees and shrubs. Silas and his team were very professional, showed up as scheduled, and completed the job as contracted all in 7 days! We are very pleased with the results. He even helped us relocate a landscape rock in an existing flowerbed and and reposition several irrigation heads affected by the grading. Over the past few years we have had other landscaping companies do work that did not turn out well. Silas was an answer to our prayers. If you have any landscaping needs, this is your guy!

We are new to the mountain and just recently built a log cabin and needed a driveway. Called Gartman Landscaping and I am so glad I did! From Silas coming and giving us a professional quote to Darius and his crew doing the cement work and turnaround, these guys were so professional, so polite and the communication was superb! Fantastic job on our patio. They fixed our drainage issues, removed a poorly done patio, and installed a top-notch patio. We’ve already enjoyed it and gotten so many compliments. The crew was so courteous and professional and picked up everything when they were done. Definitely would recommend again.

We hired Gartman Landscaping to rebuild a drainage culvert, re-grade and lay about 5,000 sq ft of sod on our unlandscaped back yard, and to help finish up a boulder lined planting area around our raised patio. Silas was the only landscaper who actually returned our calls after seeing the site, had a plan for us, and executed with speed and professionalism. The crew showed up early every day, worked late, and kept the site clean and orderly. We are completely satisfied with the work that was done. I would highly recommend giving Silas a call for any of your landscaping needs.

We used Gartman Landscaping and Excavation to clean up our very messy, wooded lot (weeds, dead brush/trees, stumps, etc.) after our new custom home was finished. We also had them install a variety of elements to beautify our lot, this included sod, hydro-seeding, plantings and mulch. The Gartman team was exceptional, they were on-time, highly communicative and committed to great customer service and quality work. We highly recommend them for any of your landscape and excavation needs.

I was having water drainage issues on my property that flooded my garage and basement. Gartman worked with me to come up with a good plan based on what I wanted the look to be. The communication was great, they came when they said they would, the team was very professional and polite and they all worked very hard. I am beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and I will use this company again anytime I need this kind of work. They put in a ditch and a drainage swell, graded my yard and added top soil and sod and put in a bed so I can plant shrubs and flowers. The cost was competitive and I feel like I got a great value for the work. Before and after pics for comparison.

Gartman Landscaping built a brick patio (8’ x 14’) and added a flower bed to one end of the yard and added river rock to a section with drainage issues. I was incredibly pleased with the way the yard turned out. Casey recommended brick for the patio which complements the house nicely and reminds me of the colonial floors and patios in Maryland. Their crew was so polite and knowledgeable. My patio home backyard ,which formerly was just grass and a sidewalk, is now a very functional and delightful place to spend time with my friends and my pets.

We highly recommend Ambrosetti Construction! Whether it’s new construction or updating ...the final product is always impressive!

Ambrosetti construction is currently renovating a house next door to mine. While the house renovation looks beautiful, the negligence with which they have treated my property next door has been shocking. Here are a small number of pictures showing property damage that occurred above a gas line in my yard while they were operating heavy machinery, damage at the road in front of my house from months worth of work trucks pulling into my yard, and a couple day's worth of trash I had to pick up (there were many, many of these days). They never told me about any of the damage and I only discovered it a week later after taking my trash bin to the road.
It is still not fixed almost a year later.

I had to call the city 3 times in order to get them to maintain proper silt barriers, and failure to do this caused erosion to my yard and significant trash build up on my property and a large amount of gravel to wash into the city drainage.

They do not respond to me at all unless I get the owner involved (who is great but can only do so much), and even then I feel like an absolute chore to Ambrosetti construction.

I can't speak for the quality of their workmanship - it does look lovely from the outside - but anyone hiring them should take note of how they treat others on the periphery from whom they don't receive a check.

Very rude people. The manager is all together unpleasant and short with people. Would not recommend.

Very slow with paying for the work that has been completed, and fabricates about making payments before not paying at all.

We had a signed contract, and was told on numerous occasions that they had a check in the mail for over night delivery which was never sent at all.
