Ben was very knowledgeable and gave good advice on what to do to preserve my two large, old oak trees.
He and his crew came out and spent time getting the job done right. Afterwards they cleaned up all the branches and leaves. He even shoveled off silt that had collected at the end of my driveway that wasn’t part of their mess!
Ben and Chelsea are very easy to work with. They broke my project into parts so that I could space out the expense. I would highly recommend Scenic City Arborists because they care about saving your trees!

Scenic City Arborists responded promptly concerning a large tree that I felt posed a risk to my neighbor's property. I found each person I spoke with to be courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions. The team of personnel that trimmed the branches were safety-conscious and professional. It was important to me to work with a company that has ISA Certified Arborists and this is one of the few in the area! I fully recommend Scenic City Arborists!

This company is one of the most honest and professional companies you could ever hope to work with. My husband and I were concerned about a large oak about 15 feet from our house and were getting quotes and expertise to see if it needed to be removed all together or just pruned and optimized. The first company we called said it needed to be chopped immediately. Then Ben and Chelsea showed up from Scenic City Arborists, a husband and wife team, who are in the business of saving trees but making them safer and more functional. Ben is a certified arborist and can give you a proper assessment of your tree and how to keep it healthy. Their prices are fair and they do awesome work! Will be hiring them in the fall to plant some trees for us in our backyard! We will also continue to use them for any pruning or stump grinding needs! Thanks Ben and Chelsea!

I was extremely impressed with Benjamin from Scenic City Arborist from the very beginning. I have never met someone so knowledgeable about trees who is interested and willing to preserve the environmental integrity for everything and everyone surrounding the trees I asked him to quote removing. He was thorough in his inspections of the trees I wanted removed but also about the trees surrounding them. He was able to diagnose and offer multiple viable solutions to prevent future problems. What made even more of an impression for me was that his tree removal practices don’t use a lot of heavy equipment and machinery that would harm the integrity of the trees I wanted to keep. He removed multiple massive trees were near my home and my neighbors home without harming the homes, concrete and plants around them! He cleaned up the entire area when finished and it looked so nice! I had gotten 4 other quotes before him and he was and he was in the same range with the other quotes but was better priced by a few hundred dollars. His appraisal is worth every penny. He had listed each tree with pictures and descriptions of what would be done on each one, broken down in price by each tree. He also had other suggestions for other trees that I want to keep that help them to stay healthy that included options and prices. He is licensed, certified and insured. I am not receiving anything for this review and I am in no way related to or affiliated with Benjamin or Scenic City Arborist. This is a company of integrity that will impress and I highly recommend them!

A true arborist focused company. A lot of other tree companies seem way too quick to recommend unnecessary removal of trees beyond the initial scope.

The initial assessment involved walking around with Benjamin and discussing the health of every individual tree on my property. He relieved many of my concerns about some of the sadder looking trees. He was very knowledgeable and had many recommendations to improve the health of my trees. They also understand most people cant afford to do everything immediately so they allow you to choose your priorities.

I only did one prune and one removal at this time but plan to do some more work with this company in the coming years.

Most other companies are eager to mobilize their heaviest equipment to handle removals which is very impressive and efficient but also expensive. This company was able to take my tree down in a very tight area without a massive crane. All in a day's work for an honest hardworking team of arborists and tree professionals.

Cold called them upon moving to Chattanooga to ask for mulch as they are one of the top reviewed tree companies near me. Within a week, I received mulch, and whilst chatting with the driver, I found out they offer a $50 tree evaluation of your property. Having many trees, it seemed well worth the money, and if you choose to utilize them for recommended work, the $50 is minused from the overall cost. Long story short, turns out most of my trees are in good health, but I did have some pruning work done over my power lines. The several employees I have interacted with have been knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Of note, all the staff are either certified arborists, or working towards gaining their certification. Overall, I would recommend this company if you care about having a game plan for the health and maintenance of your trees.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They know trees and do what is best to take care of them. Trimmed branches very carefully, no other landscaping torn up from falling limbs. Cleaned everything up including blowing my deck, sidewalk and even the street in front of my house. Cut back trees to improve my view. They were very affordable and Arrived on time, very courteous and pleasant. Highly recommend and encourage people to use them. Don’t let someone come “hack” the tops out of your trees. It’s not good for them. Again, call this company!

Having known Benjamin Moore from the City Tree Commission, I knew he was a most qualified Arborist. When we needed Tree Work, I knew I could depend upon him. Benjamin came out, surveyed the needed work, and saw several other potential problems. When the Crew came out, they were prompt, most efficient and observant. After 30+ years in our Wooded Lot, we've used several tree companies. Scenic City Arborists are by far, the BEST !

The owners, Benjamin & Chelsea, are very responsive. Their crews are so professional, respectful & do a great job! Had them here with a double crew for 2 full days. They took care of all my trees including one that needed cabling without damage to the surrounding landscaping. Did a good job on cleanup as well. All employees were friendly and answered my million questions.

Scenic City Arborists did an excellent job bringing down two trees safely and in a timely manner. Excellent experience!!!! The owners are true experts in this filed. They advised us and implemented pruning and treatment efforts to a large and beautiful, but end-of-life, dogwood and took care of other tree removal needs from our property. UPDATE to the review below, which was last winter. This latest is late May the following year.

Benjamin and ( I'm pretty sure ) his entire crew were here all day recently. We had a large chestnut oak that had unfortunately perished directly against the rather large two story front stairway of our house. The tree was also overhanging our deck out front. Needless to say, this was a removal that needed to be handled carefully. Scenic City Arborists were skilled enough, not only to prevent any damage whatsoever to the house, but predict exactly what damage would be done to the surrounding trees and landscaping, then deliver on that, managing then exceeding our expectations.

But that's not all - after setting that appointment but before the crew's work date, we had ANOTHER chestnut oak, which following abundant rainfall this year, unexpectedly and shockingly fail only a short distance from the other tree - a mature tree that completely uprooted. This one was ( also unfortunately ) quite damaging to the surrounding trees, and even blocked our driveway. When the crew arrived, they cleaned up this tree on the same day, removing it from the drive and surrounding landscape. Needless to say, this was a LOT of work to complete in one day, but Scenic City Arborists delivered on all of it, keeping us informed and consulted every step of the way. Oh! While they were at it, they managed to spread twenty cubic yards of mulch on the affected property to a four inch depth on that same day, even shredding what they'd cleaned up and removed.

If that doesn't convince you that this is the company of choice for your own aboreal needs, I don't know what possibly could. We have proudly placed their sign at the foot of our drive.

Had the pleasure of meeting David from Scenic City Arborists today for a consultation survey of our property's numerous trees to assess their health, and any potential risks to permanent structures.

David took the time to answer my questions thoughtfully, address concerns, and best of all, offered me some practical education along with his guidance and recommendations. I was particularly impressed by his genuine, honest wisdom and obvious respect for trees and their place in the natural world with an ethic and philosophical point of view that comes along with experience.

So - despite the fact that I scheduled during an obviously less than ideal season for the task, I received service exceeding my expectations. Professionalism and trustworthiness were immediately evident.

We recently bought a home in Northshore and needed a quote on having some tree stumps removed from our property. Have used Scenic City Arborists two times to structurally prune two large trees. They are professional, knowledgeable, helpful and do a good job of cleaning up after pruning.

The Lead Arborist was very informative and helpful as they assessed our trees. We promptly received a proposal and quote, and decided on removal of three huge old trees. The work was done safely and efficiently and we really appreciate how well they cleaned up. We will have them back for more work - pruning other large old trees and planting new trees. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Scenic City Arborists!

I had a great experience working with Scenic City Arborists, the job was professional, affordable and timely! Can't recommend them enough, they really know their trees and they saved us from having to remove a huge old southern red oak from our property, instead they were able to trim out the dead wood and save the tree! For the standing dead trunk we had them fell it and leave it so we can have it milled.

Scenic City Arborists were fantastic! I bought a house to be renovated and they came out and taught me what trees I have in the property, their condition and what to do to take care of them. They trimmed some, removed some large bushes and stumps and developed at plan for what I need to do every 5 years. Credible, great education on my property, and very timely in getting the job done! We had them do a full assessment of our property. They were very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. They let us know what’s best for the tree, and what should be done soon versus future needs.
We had them remove a GIANT Bradford Pear, 3 holly trees and trim all the trees along our driveway and backyard (around 10-12 trees). The price was UNBEATABLE. Plus they climb the trees so no heavy equipment in your yard! We’re very happy with the results and will definitely recommend and use them again.
