Gooddeal Construction is reasonable, honest, professional and went above and beyond when they remodeled our kitchen and installed new flooring thru out the house. Chris and his crew did a wonderful job. I plan on using them for several more projects in the near future! I would recommend them to anyone needing an experienced crew!!!!! We LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!!! 😊

Chris was so helpful and persistent. Had guys at my house 3 days in a row trying to figure out what was wrong with my plumbing. It was not an easy task, but they got the job done! Absolutely would recommend for any services they provide

I’ve had Chris assist with several projects at my house over the last 12 months and have found him and his crew to be wonderful to work with. The initial job was to paint most of the interior of my house and it turned out beautifully. Since then we have contacted him for help with an issue with our AC and water heater. In each instance he was very responsive and was able to send someone over quickly to diagnose and resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Chris and his crew did an excellent job reframing, insulating, installing drywall and painting several basement walls after a water mitigation job by AFS. The work also included repairing a portion of vinyl plank flooring and placing all the electrical outlets. The results are outstanding! His crew were very polite and cleaned up at the end of each day. We had obtained 2 other estimates and Chris came through with a very acceptable cost. We highly recommend Gooddeal Construction Services and would definitely use them again.

I just love love love how my kitchen and bathroom came out. There were a few snags along the way that couldn’t be avoided but John was extremely accommodating, upfront, and helpful.

These guys did a 3500 square foot remodel with no issues and top quality. Very honest and prompt. Highly recommend them.

John and his crew were fantastic during every part of our remodel. They were ALWAYS punctual and professional. Fantastic communication throughout the entire process and the job was completed in the time promised. We highly recommend them and we will definitely use them in the future.

Would not recommend this company for landscaping needs. Paid over $7,100 to landscape new construction, including top soil, river rock, seed and straw. Day 2 of construction the crew arrived without tools and used homeowners. The well head was gently hit by the skid loader (no damage fortunately) and within 12 hours (March 31, 2023) of the completion of the project, significant storms hit the area. The top soil and seed washed away and the neighborhood received the straw as did the decorative river rock. The company representative observed the damage from the storm. The new quote to repair the loss was an additional $1,800. Colossal waste of money, no warranty or foresight for weather issues, and no customer satisfaction. 👎

I noticed John’s ad in the Farragut Press so when my wife and I decided to do an addition for a master on the main we compiled a list of contractors and started making calls. My wife and I have done quite a bit of remodeling in the past on rental properties as well as our own homes so this was not a new process for us. We were surprised that many of the contractors that we called did not show up for their appointment or called and canceled moments before. John was different. He arrived promptly and was willing to spend the needed time to understand our wishes and vision. After looking at our situation he suggested that we get an architect and was able to recommend a few.
John explained that he was booked into the future and we explained that we were willing to wait for the right company. While we worked with the architect, John and I discussed the issues that arose and he offered suggestions to take back. This was with without any guaranty of being the winning bidder. After about two months we had review plans and John was the only contractor that set a time to come see the plans in advance of the final drawings. All of the others were content to wait. In his review he noted some additional issues that were resolved before we went to final drawings.
We narrowed the contractors down to two and John was the winning bid. His bid was thorough and in line with what my wife and I had estimated, however, as he told us originally, he was booked for another few months. We told him that we were willing to wait and, as promised he showed up a week earlier than expected.
John’s crew is excellent. They show up on time every day, work a full day, they clean up the jobsite before they leave, their work is excellent (my father was a contractor so I have seen all levels of work) and he has some of the best subcontractors that I have seen in the area. When there were issues, as there always are in construction, John had a solution and let us know how it would be solved and most of the time still within budget. His billing is an open book in fact he brought his job book over a number of times for me to go over the actual vendor and subcontractor invoices. His markup is reasonable especially considering his ability to coordinate the project. We have had very little downtime that was not caused by either weather or codes inspection delays.
To say that we are pleased is an understatement. Anytime there is an addition there will be compromises but I challenge the most discriminating to find issue with the finished product. John’s company, Housework’s of Knoxville, was worth the wait and will be at the top of our list for future projects and should be at the top of yours, too.

We have worked with many Contractors and Gary is one of the best. We are more than pleased with the work he did for us. We recommend him as much as possible to our friends. He returns your phone calls and shows up when he is suppose to.
Our only complaint is he can not control the weather. Our job was held up for rain..... If he can learn to control the weather he would be perfect. No one wants their roof removed in a rain storm.
We found it is hard to find a responsible and reliable Contractor in Knoxville. We feel lucky to have found him.

Gary and his team completely remodeled our home. He helped us wade through the numerous decisions we had to make and made the whole process less stressful. Thanks to him, and his amazing team, we have our dream house.

Gary Allen and his team had the skill and responsiveness to complete renovation of the home we are selling and at the same time made big reno changes to our new home! Gary has an excellent skill set and was able to meet all our construction needs from plumbing, tile, cabinetry and much more. He made excellent recommendations that decreased our cost.

In the beginning, Gary lived up to his reputation. Fair, kind, responsive. However he ended up ghosting us. No explanation, no indication there were any issues to cause this behavior. After multiple texts, phone calls, 30 days of extended patience he still hasn't contacted us.

After leaving this and a Facebook review, he blocked me on Facebook. No attempt to reach out to resolve the unknown situation.

I do not recommend Gary Allen.
