My mother had pipes burst in kitchen and bathroom in May. She called these people because she’s used them a few years ago. Unfortunately they were too busy and didn’t have enough people to work on her house. She lived without a kitchen floor in kitchen and bathroom for 8 weeks!! The insurance company was great and sent money for project immediately. However Rocky top didn’t communicate and told my mom several lies about when they were coming. And they didn’t show several times. They gave her very little notice for when they were coming and made her feel like it was her fault she was not here. It was just ridiculous she had to wait so long. Anyway the work was average and she got charged way more than the insurance company paid for. So that came out of her pocket. Not impressed at all. Would never recommend.

Rock Top Restoration is a Great Company to work with! The house was hit by a Tornado in August of 2023 and Allie came out the same day, just a couple of hours after it happened. She had to walk in a good distance, through all the downed trees and power lines, to help get questions answered, fears calmed and the process started. Between Allie and Gina at the office and Randy managing the project, the house is back to normal. It’s amazing how important it is for things to get back to normal! All 3 of them were great at returning phone calls or getting answers and making sure that we were informed of any issues or timelines we needed to be aware of. I’m sure I wore them out with phone calls, but you would never know it with their professional and helpful attitudes. If you had seen the photos of the house after the tornado and now, you wouldn’t believe the damage had ever occurred. They saved me a lot of time and headaches by dealing with the Insurance Company and submitting the paperwork needed for the job to be done Correctly! They are Professional, Reliable and are great Advocates for you when dealing with Insurance. Despite ALL the attempts by the Insurance Company to delay or their Adjuster to low ball estimates of what “they were willing to pay” for repairs, Rocky Top Restoration got the job done and Done Well! Their number will stay in my phone!

We are only just through the mitigation process, but so far working with Rocky Top Restoration has been a breeze! They were prompt in getting out to our home, demoing, and setting up fans. Randall and his team have really gone above and beyond! They have handled all the back and forth with our insurance adjuster making this process even easier for us.
Not to mention their customer service is remarkable. Everyone is so friendly and incredibly responsive. 10/10 would recommend Rocky Top Restoration to anyone. Roll Tide!!

A 6 month NIGHTMARE with Rocky Top Restoration (RTR)! We trusted the reviews after we had a shower leak in Sept. 2023 & went with RTR. The mitigation team did mitigation and said we would not see them again, as the construction team would be out to demo shower and do repairs. To our surprise the same mitigation team came back to demo the shower. They broke through the bathroom drywall from inside the shower on TWO sides. They broke our floor tile & did NOT mention it to us, requiring replacement of the entire floor! Again, mitigation told us they were finished and we would not be seeing them again! The tile guy (who we had to wait several weeks for, who we were assured “would be worth the wait”) came sometimes at 9am, sometimes at 10:30, would always leave for an hour+ for lunch and work an hour or sometimes a few hrs after lunch. Then we wouldn’t see him again for a couple of weeks. He was finishing with grout and once again in walks the mitigation team to demo the floor tile. The tile guy (who was very hard to get scheduled with) left mad saying he told Allie (the mgr) he could not grout a new shower with dust and tiles flying everywhere. We had to just be thankful when he did show up because our hands were tied. To give you an idea of how long this was dragging out, this was on 1/29/24. Removing baseboards the mitigation team damaged our walls with crowbars, couldn’t get the vanities out, unnecessarily cut water lines, and ultimately had to call their supervisors Randall & Jacob(the project manager who we only saw this one time) to help them remove them. Charles (mitigation)was very frustrated and expressed his feelings with extreme profanity (recorded and shared with the owner Matt Henegar) while standing in our driveway. He also stated that this is “not what we do, we don’t do countertops”. When I asked the mitigation team who would be reinstalling the vanities they said “oh it won’t be us! There is a construction crew that knows more about that than we do”! Randall (the mitigation manager)then said I’m glad those are out and “all I know is we won’t have to touch them again” (we being his mitigation team) as the construction team (who we NEVER saw) would reinstall them! As you can see with the timeline none of this work was done consistently! Allie would send the mitigation team out whenever she wanted to. We could not cut ties with RTR at that point bc they had already done so much EXTRA damage that they were going to have to repair and cover the cost. Allie was one of the rudest reps I have ever dealt with as a customer! I have endless emails back and forth with her showing this. Eventually in 3/2024 the shower was finished. Allie said she was sending the mitigation team once again to reinstall our vanities, hang door casings & floorboards. At this point I said do NOT come back! I finished it all myself! The shower appears that a 5 year old was practicing cutting and hanging tile. Uneven grout lines, jagged edged tiles, thin set showing & uneven tiles. The attached pictures of the finished shower tile speak for themselves. After 6 mos of dealing with Allie and her insults as she was adding bogus charges to the bill I decided to contact the owner Matt Henegar. When I spoke with Matt, he had seen the photos of the shower and his first response was “I’ve seen pictures from before your leak and your shower tile did not look that great before either”! He then changed his tune and said he disagreed with our frustrations but asked if we wanted him to come replace the whole shower? To which I said absolutely NOT, I will never allow RTR back in my home to cause any further damage! After going back & forth about the charges (Allie was trying to charge for work I had done myself, I have the invoice) Matt agreed to a small discount saying the shower could easily be repaired. So I sent him more photos (since nobody from RTR has been here or even called to see if we were satisfied). Matt then agreed to reduce the remaining bill by about 1/3 which I accepted just to be done with this 6 month ordeal & RTR. See tile pics!

We have had a great experience Rocky Top thus far. We had a crack in our tub which allowed water to run thru our subfloor in December approaching Christmas. Rocky Top (Randall, Logan, and team) were super responsive about getting out and performing the remediation before further damage set in. They picked up the phone when we called and set up an appointment to assess same day. We are super appreciative of them listening to and addressing our concerns.

I was referred to Rocky Top Restorations by my insurance agent. They were prompt, knowledgeable, professional and reliable. They completed my repairs in the amount of time they quoted. The cleanup was great. I will definitely refer Rocky Top to others and plan to use them again as the need arises.

We had a car run into our house and Rocky Top Restoration if it up. Every worker dud a great job. They had to replace garage doors, man door, garage flooring, remove bricks and replace them with stones plus do some block work, and some drywall work upstairs.

I don’t have any after photos yet but I’m sure they will be great when I do. We had a major water leak inside damaging 7 total rooms upstairs and downstairs! Randall and his team were extremely quick about coming out to mitigate the water and damaged materials including Sheetrock and ceilings out of the house!! Communication with the team was fantastic and they always showed up when they said they were-in fact, usually earlier!! We are using Rocky Top Restoration to renovate all the damages in the house and are very excited to have everything back together and finished.

If myself, a friend, or neighbor ever has to go through the process of working with a restoration company, I without hesitation recommend Rocky Top Restoration. They are people who care.

I discovered a leak in the piping to my refrigerator and called Rocky Top Restoration -- I am so glad I did. Randall and Allie have been immensely helpful in navigating this entire stressful process. They took time on the weekend to assess the situation and provide advice. They quickly came up with an estimate that was competitive compared to the 2nd estimate I had received from another company for the same project. Once the process was to start, they subcontracted a company to assist in the removal of my granite counter tops without damaging them, quickly (and neatly) removed the damaged material and placed high quality drying equipment. Charles was in charge of the remediation project at my house and was professional and polite. Each day he checked in on the drying equipment and progress, which included days over the weekend.

Overall, I'd rate the remediation process a 4.5. Although initially the team was extremely responsive (beyond my expectations), as the project has gone on, some of the communication has been slower or less complete. For example, I was hoping to receive an update (e.g. phone call) after the demolition phase had completed (e.g. what did they find, was anything unexpected). Instead, I had to initiate most of this communication and ask the questions to get answers on what to expect in terms of timeline and next steps. As a new home owner that also works outside the business of restoration, I had no concept of how things progress and wish I could have been told what to expect. However, with that being said- when I have had questions, Randall, Allie, and Charles have been more than willing to answer them. I have just had to learn to be more patient and understand that with water damage it is a long process. The remediation process has finished (again, very well done) and now I am waiting on the reconstruction, which understandably has a longer timeline.

Gina was great at working with the insurance company on our behalf and getting us started correctly. Jacob is a great project manager. All workers were on time as scheduled and did a great job repairing the damage from the water leak in the kitchen.

We used Rocky Top for our kitchen remodel and updating our hardwood floors/stairs, I would highly recommend them and we will definitely use them in the future. The crew at Rocky Top was professional, courteous, on-time, on-budget and cleaned up everyday before they left.

When I say the team members at Rocky Top Restoration are now like my family, believe me!! After an extensive 7 month renovation of my Mother's house (caused by an enormous tree falling on the home), I can definitely say that Gina, Jacob, Enrique and their entire team went above and beyond to repair all the damage that was caused. The home suffered damage to the roof, exterior brick, water damage, flooring damage...you name it, they fixed it! My Mother sadly passed away as renovation began and Gina and Jacob even came to pay their respect at her service. These people care about the job they are performing and they care about the people they are working for.

Gina and Jacob would communicate with me daily/weekly, as needed, updating me and providing accurate estimates for the work as it was being done, and acted as a liaison between the insurance company and myself. Jacob and his guys took great care of Mom's home and made sure the property and its contents were protected when I wasn't on site. I knew if they were there working, everything was protected.

This is a long review, but I just want anyone who is considering Rocky Top Restoration to know that they are focused on a getting their job done correctly and they are there to listen to your concerns. I am completely satisfied with the completed renovation. A job well done!

Everyone at Rocky Top Restoration was great to work with. They were friendly, knowledgeable and clean. When our kitchen flooded they were quick to get everything dry. Rockytop Restoration is an amazing company! Their work is professional and thorough! They stand behind their work even after it is completed. A year ago our house was seriously damaged from a tornado. Once RockyTop received the all clear to begin restoring our home they were amazing! Communication is very important in situations like this. We were kept in the communication loop from the very beginning.They made sure the foundation was safe and then began the work. They worked with the insurance company and did above and beyond all that we could have asked! They paid sooo much attention to detail! What an amazing company! Rocky Top Restoration has been absolutely amazing from start to finish! Both on the remediation side and on the restoration side, this team was fantastic. Scott and his crew communicated so well and multiple times went above and beyond to help put our house back together. After a high wind storm caused damage to our rental cabin my insurance agent recommended Rocky Top Restoration. Gave them a call late in the day and received a call within a few minutes from Randall. It was after hours so I was surprised to get the call. Randall told me they would be out the next day. Sure enough a crew showed up and began working to clear debris and bring machines in to dry out the interior. By the afternoon there was a roofing company there to tarp the roof to keep any further rain out. Randall’s communication throughout the process was excellent. I always knew when they were coming and what they would do and accomplish. Within a few days all the debris was carted away, ac’s were repaired and interior was dry again. They opened up the walls, ceiling, took up flooring and took out the wet insulation to make sure they could dry out all the wet areas. I highly recommend Rocky Top Restoration for all your mitigation and restoration work.

Rocky Top is truly to top notch restoration company. We can’t say enough about the positive experience we had working with them. Gina supported us with challenging discussions with our insurance company and was always our advocate. She was so knowledgeable about the process that needed to be followed. After a major water leak from our water heater, RTR dried the flooring, worked with insurance to get new floors put down and our hardwoods refinished. They are perfect! Additionally, I had them replace the cabinets and counters in our kitchen and they did a great job. Very happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend them!
