They do good work, but oh my god they are expensive! I called them out because of a burning electric smell. It was just a loose wire that was an easy fix. So I asked them how much it would be to replace a light switch (I already had the switch). They said $475! This is a photo of the switch. I ended up having them run two new lines to the kitchen, plus fix the switch. Total was $2200. Four hours into the job, he said, "I should have finished this two hours ago." It took an additional 2 hours (total of 6 hours). The work is excellent but they quoted $2200 for what they thought was two hours worth of work. I'll go ahead and give them 5 stars for the quality of work, but watch the price!

Way overpriced!! Please shop around before you consider this company! Use a local business and not a corporate owned entity!! Beware of any business affiliated with “a neighborly company”

Called before arrival. On time. Explained problems and fixed. Zack has been here before on another issue. I like working with familiar people. Iwill use Mr Electric again. Thumbs 👍 up to Zack.

I had Mr. Electric replace a bad outlet in my kitchen. The technician Ryan S. was great and offered several different options and prices. I ended up also having a whole house surge suppressor installed as well. Very happy with the service and communication from this company. I will definitely use them
    again.

Tyler and his team were great. They worked very long hours, on the weekend, to restore the electrical problems caused by a fallen tree on part of my house. They were profession, very capable, and kind.
I definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again

Ryan and Ian from Mr. Electric came out to our house today to give us an estimate for a ceiling fan installation. They were able to install the fan on the same day and were even able to fix an issue we had with our outlet boxes while they were here! Friendly and efficient! Would definitely use this service again👍 Thank you Ryan and Ian!

Prompt, excellent service problem-solving core issues and presenting repair options. After 4 previous electrician visits by other multiple businesses I was finally able to understand the problem and choose an intervention plan for short term and long term solutions. Same day resolution. Outstanding professionals.

They were very prompt, professional, and personable. They found and repaired several less-than-top code problems. I have used them for outside and indoor lighting problems, and I am always pleased that problems and repairs are explained fully “in layman’s” terms.

Today we hired Mr. Electric to fix some electrical issues in a kitchen remodel, install a range outlet, and install recessed lighting (4 lights). When we scheduled, the company answered the phone when we called, was available to come out the next day, and arrived right within the service window. Our electrician was Ryan Swafford. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and kind enough to answer our questions. He gave us a fair pricing and even did the additional jobs we wanted done (recessed lights). He cleaned up his work when finished, had all the required tools, and overall, did a fantastic job. Very pleased. Thank you for all the help!

Stay far away! They charged over $5k for this. The technician made huge mess and took a very long time.

Will definitely recommend them for any electrical work 😊

Excellent work, exceeded expectations. Had them add a dedicated circuit to my attic for a sauna. The attention to detail, quality of installation and cleanup after were top notch. Thanks Dylan, Rhett, and Zach.

Tech came out to quote an estimate on adding an outdoor 220v receptacle for outdoor Xmas lighting, but he notived the PVC tubing from ground wire to house meter mounted to exterior brick wall had slipped and was in violation of code and in need of immediate repair. I am not an expert, and assumed the repair urgent and necessary aa described by the tech. He described the scope of work and quoted $1,500 without a detailed estimate which he said he would email to me that day. He also said he needed a $500 deposit to get the work scheduled. Stupidly, I paid via credit card and he told me he would pull the permits and someone would be in contact with me Monday. He leaves andno estimate. In fact nothing happens until city power employee shows up Monday morning unannounced at the house to cut off power. My surprised wife doesn't know they are coming and no one from Mr. Electric called to let us know that they were coming either. To put an end to this sad tale, 2 Mr. E techs show up and do the job in less than an hour. No digging, no disconnecting the box, or other highly technical or laborious tasks as described bythe first guy. In fact the city power tech said$1500 was ridiculous and the job should cost more than $500. Shame on me for allowing myself to be rushed and not getting multiple quotes. Shame on Mr. Electric for charhing an exorbitant amount for such littlework.NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I spoke to someone at Mr. Electric and was told someone would get back to me. So far nothing. Thus, this review. Lesson learned.

Shame on me for not shopping around for the best price. We called Mr. Electric because their sister company, Mr. Appliance, sent us over to them when asked about their ability to install garage light ballasts. They came out right away and gave us a quote that sounded high, but we felt obligated to use them since they were there. They were very aggressive in upcharging and that is when my wife got the feeling that they were taking advantage of her lack of knowledge of what any of that should cost. We went through with replacing the lights in the garage which ended up being $1200. They also gave us a quote for replacing flood lights along with adding ceiling lights in the great room. This came to $2400. We decided that was just too much. We did find another electrician who did the $2400 job for $500. We were told that the $1200 could have been done for $350. We were sick about the $1200 we paid but grateful that we paused on the other job. Make no mistake, this company takes advantage of folks that do not know any better. It’s clear that they work on commission. I would never recommend Mr. Electric to anyone needing electric work. Their sister Company, Mr. Appliance was disappointing as well.

We love our landscape lighting by Mr Electric of Knoxville. It was installed originally about 3 yrs ago and we just had a checkup & some maintenance work done. Zach & Ian did a very thorough job & were a pleasure to work with. Thank you to them!

I will give this company credit for getting someone out to me fast which is what I needed. I will also say that the technician they sent was very nice. The work done was expensive which was expected for a short notice weekend call. The negative aspect was a few minor miscalculations on the technician's part. The junction box that needed relocated was replaced with a different, and incorrect kind. Fortunately my installers were able to work with it and make some modifications of their own to make it work, but for over $1000, they should not have had to do additional work when they arrived. It did all come together alright and the company was very pleasant and efficient.

Called them due to needing a major repair. (Whole new electrical panel on my home) They sent out someone within the hour. Techs name was Ryan. He was amazing and helped us a lot with understanding the problem and the SOLUTION. He was a great help during a very tough time for my family. Work was done and it exceeded my expectations. Ryan is definitely who I will call if I ever need this service again.
