Charlie & Taylor did a fantastic job! Taylor was at my house getting the water damage dried out over the long Memorial Day weekend & Charlie was great with getting everything cleaned up. They truly do live up to the motto of like it never happened.

Charlie Freeman has been in our house the last two days to check on the levels of humidity after our washing machine sprung a leak, and flooded down through the walls and floors. I don’t remember the names of the first two gentlemen who came on the first day, to remove baseboards and check walls and ceiling so see if we had soggy insulation to worry about. They placed huge dehumidifiers, and fans throughout, and put our minds at ease. Charlie was able to remove the equipment today, and assure us the levels of moisture were back down. They were all so great and professional, and made a very stressful circumstance, so much better.

I have researched and been through intense mold remediation twice and frequently help other families who are dealing with mold to find resources, so I have experience on this topic. We had a roof leak in our new home with the Hurricane Helene rains. Because our home was still under warranty, the builder sent ServPro out to work with us. I was nervous because I have not heard great things about ServPro in my remediation research. I suppose it depends on who you're dealing with and the particular situation, but the team I dealt with - Anthony (manager), Tony, D.J., and Charlie were very knowledgeable, attentive to my concerns, and personable. The only problem (and it was significant) was with the roofer (Angel) who said he tarped the leak but didn't, which caused more water to come inside the house, making the problem much more of an issue than it should have been. But ServPro rectified the problem quickly and got everything dried out fast, so we had no mold growth to deal with. I don't have experience working with them on pre-existing serious mold growth that requires remediation, but they were amazing to deal with on preventing it in the first place and ensuring nothing was hidden in areas behind the walls. Thank you, Anthony and team!

Our experience with SERVEPRO was excellent. From the promptness of getting scheduled for mold remediation and the assistance with the insurance claim, they were the utmost professionals. The remediation team (Charlie and Ryan) did an fantastic job. The demo and cleaning was thorough and they were exceptionally clean and tidy during the process from start to finish. Hopefully I'll never need services like this again, but if I do I have confidence in SERVEPRO of East TN and they will be the first call I make.

My ServPro project manager, Tyler, did an excellent job managing the mitigation project and communicating with me promptly through the entire process. Charlie came and checked for dryness and managed the equipment properly and professionally. I am very pleased with the job and the courteous, professional service that I received!!

Staff were very courteous and professional. They explained everything that needed to be done. They were available for questions. Leo delivered tough news with kindness and sensitivity. Charlie went out of his way to help me with the special needs of my TherapyAnimal in training and helped alleviate his stress. Taylor and her helper set up the fans and dehumidifier so I could still maneuver somewhat in my kitchen.
All were superb in their communication and professionalism. Although I wish to have never had to meet them, I am grateful that ServicePro remediation folks were there for us!

I am very satisfied with the help Servpro gave me! Connor was able to come right over and start the fans after my water leak. Then Charlie came over to check the water level two days later which wasn’t quite normal yet then he came back on Saturday and was satisfied that my walls and wood were dry. I am happy to give them 5 stars for excellent service!! J.S.

We used this service to clean out my late grandmother’s home recently and I couldn’t be more happy with our experience. I worked specifically with Tyler, Douglas, Richie and Jameson directly throughout the process and they communicated clearly, managed expectations with the whole clean out crew, and got additional help on day two to make more headway. They saved me months of cleaning out in just a matter of days. Very appreciative of this service!

Charlie and his crew were so polite and professional getting to our issue and helping us dry out the that leak we had. They were really careful to preserve the best they could the trim and baseboards that we had to take off to get to the area. They even prepped an area with a drop cloth to not damage our floors. We were impressed with their knowledge and appreciated them taking the extra time to explain the process and what to expect. Overall very happy with the efficiency to prevent any further damage. We still need to have the recon team out to put the trim back and repair drywall, but we are happy so far with Servpro’s teams. Thank you Charlie and crew!

My experience working with Servpro was incredibly frustrating. While the work done seems to be satisfactory, the entire process was way more difficult, painful, and annoying than it needed to be. I never leave negative reviews but in this situation it felt warranted. I will detail the entire interaction below.

To start out, we have a leaky shower that has caused damage and mold underneath the bathroom. We have a contractor lined up to come in, demo, and re-do the entire bathroom. Contractor recommends I reach out to Servpro to get the mold handled before they demo to prevent anything from getting airborne. Makes sense! I give Servpro a call, and they say it will be a week before someone can come out to do an inspection and provide an estimate. They seem to be busier than normal with the storms we've had recently, so no big deal.

A week later and the inspector comes out to assess the damage. Says I'll get a quote within 2 business days and the work can be scheduled from there.

We're at the end of the second business day and I haven't heard anything. I'm trying to get this mold work done asap to unblock the rest of the bathroom repairs, so I call the office to ask. Apparently they had my email address written down incorrectly and had to resend it. The amount is >2x what the contractor thought it'd be, but again I'm trying to get things done quickly so I accept and get the work scheduled for 2 days later at 9am.

9am on the work date rolls around and nobody is here. 10am comes and I call the office to ask what's up. They say they'll reach out to the technician and he should contact me with an update. 11am comes and I haven't heard anything, so I call the office back. 5 minutes later the technician calls, apologizes, and says they'll be here by 11:30. They do show up at 11:30 and knock the work out in about an hour. Seems like things went smoothly, so I sign off the paperwork. He also tells me that the final amount should match the initial estimate and to expect an invoice soon.

By the middle of the next week I haven't received an invoice. Recalling how they messed up my email the first time, I reach out to ask about it. After a few days and emails back and forth (it seemed like the first person intended but forgot to CC someone initially), I get the invoice.

But surprise, it's $150 more than my estimate! I email back to ask about it, and they tell me "there were a few small additional services added after the original total was added" and to "let [them] know if you’d like for us to arrange a production member reach out with further details". I say yes, please do, as I had no prior indication that the amount would be changing. They tell me "someone from our team will contact you soon".

I then wait over a week without any communication, so I email back to check in. They apologize for the delay and promise to look into it.

Another week passes with radio silence and I email back to check in. By this point I also took the time to do a line-by-line comparison of the initial estimate and the final invoice to see where the discrepancy came into play. Turns out the "Equipment decontamination charge - per piece of equipment" went from 1 to 3 in quantity and they added "Equipment setup, take down, and monitoring (hourly charge)" line item. I mention this, again asking for an explanation. I reiterate my contact details to make sure there isn't any confusion there.

I wait another 3 days and am very frustrated at this point. I email again requesting follow up.

The next day I get an email from a different person with some cryptic explanation that ultimately says "I have revised your final estimate and notified our accounting team that the final invoice total should reflect the previously approved amount". Thank goodness! I then pay them the correct amount and call it a day. Whew.

But what a mess! Why did it have to be so hard to get a relatively small job completed? Why did they try to nickel and dime me until I held out for weeks? Would not recommend working with them under any circumstances

Ramon and Omar just finished with the demo in our bathroom after an unexpected leak. They were truly wonderful — very hard working, kind, diligent and the thorough. They kept me informed throughout the process. They are very professional and terrific at what they do!! Thank you for sending them to our home.
