We purchased a Legacy South home in Dogwood Villas. We absolutely love our house. We love the floor plan, the location, and the community! Also, we have been so impressed with Jonathan and Kaylyn! Any questions we have are answered quickly! They have gone above and beyond in responding to any concerns we have had. Legacy South was incredible to work with during the construction of my home. From start to finish the team was extremely professional and most importantly timely. I felt fully up-to-speed on the status of my project from start to finish. Most importantly the final product was better than we could have ever imagined. Excellent quality homes! We purchased a home from Legacy South approximately 2 years ago. It was not a custom home, but we were given different design options to choose from in terms of tile, finishes, flooring, paint, etc. There were different "bundles" so we didn't have to decide if certain tiling would look right with different paint colors, and I was super thankful to be able to pick out a package that I knew would look cohesive no matter what. We love the design we ended up with and can't recommend Legacy South enough!

I recently purchased a Legacy South home in Smyrna. Kaylyn helped make this the easiest home purchase I have ever experienced. She took the time to pay attention to all the details and was in constant communication with me throughout the process. Truly professional, Kaylyn treated me with kindness and care to make sure I am happy in my new home. Such a pleasure working with the entire team. The sales agent Vicki Smith had excellent communication and worked with me to help us to achieve our goal, and builder John was on top of all punch list items and got everything done by closing. We stumbled upon a Legacy South community when we were going through the ups and downs of purchasing a home. Once we walked in the model, we loved the layout and quality of the home over everything else we have seen in the Nashville area. The buying process was seamless, their team was attentive throughout the process. Laura Sistrunk was especially a joy to work with! Within the first year, their team has been responsive when/if issues arose, and we were able to get everything necessary covered under our first year warranty addressed and fixed. It was been a joy to live in a Legacy South home :)

We bought a house with Legacy South in July. We were looking for a well-built home with attention to detail, and that's exactly what we found in our new home built by Legacy South. Everyone we worked with went above and beyond- Chris especially- even after closing when we have had small maintenance issues, LS has addressed them immediately. They seem to care deeply about their customers, and build homes with incredible craftsmanship.

After careful consideration, I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes of helping others avoid the challenges we encountered. Our initial visit with Highland Garden set the tone for what turned out to be a deeply frustrating journey. A lender, who was working with the builder at the time, made an inappropriate comment to my husband, stating she knew his income and that he could afford the house. Highland Garden later informed us that this individual would no longer be working with them, acknowledging that this was not the first such incident.

Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. Throughout the homebuying process—and particularly during closing—communication was poor, and the experience was far from what one would expect when making such a significant investment. The final walk-through was especially disappointing. I highly recommend that future buyers document everything with photos and videos, as the process felt rushed and critical details were easily glossed over or missed.

We attempted to express our concerns by emailing multiple team members, including Amber, Jen, and Jessica, but received no response—even after multiple follow-ups. This lack of communication and accountability was incredibly disheartening. The overall professionalism displayed during this process was, in my experience, severely lacking.

What should have been a joyful milestone—purchasing our first home together—was instead marked by stress, disappointment, and frustration. At one point, I was in tears during the final walk-through, overwhelmed by how impersonal and unpleasant the entire process had become. It became clear that our concerns were not going to be addressed and that the focus was solely on completing the sale.

For a new home sold at a premium price, the experience and attention to detail should reflect that value. Sadly, it did not. I disengaged emotionally because I realized that what I hoped for—a smooth, respectful, and celebratory homebuying experience—was simply not going to happen.

To Highland Garden: thank you for taking what should have been a happy and exciting time in our lives and making it something we simply wanted to get through.

To potential buyers: please do your due diligence before moving forward. This may not be everyone’s experience, but it was ours—and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I purchased my brand-new home in February 2023 and have had nonstop issues with the HVAC system since day one. When I reached out to the builder about these problems, they sent their HVAC contractor, who repeatedly failed to find or resolve the issues. I was told if they came back and still “didn’t find anything,” I would be responsible for the cost—which would be understandable if the system was actually functioning properly. Unfortunately, there were legitimate problems that were simply being overlooked.

By January 2025, barely two years into owning this “new build”, I was forced to replace the entire unit servicing the 2nd and 3rd floors due to the poor installation and subpar workmanship of the contractor they used. Now, as of September 2025, the other HVAC unit is failing, and I am being quoted outrageous amounts for the repair. Legacy has refused to take responsibility, hiding behind their one-year warranty, despite the fact that these issues stem from their contractor’s shoddy work and corner-cutting.

This experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I would never purchase another home from Legacy. They cut corners, do not stand by the quality of their work, and clearly prioritize profit over integrity or customer satisfaction. If you are considering buying from them, I strongly recommend hiring your own HVAC inspector prior to purchase, you may save yourself thousands of dollars and endless frustration.

We had the pleasure of working as a vendor with Legacy South and I have nothing but great things to say about our experience. From start to finish, they were professional, experienced, and reliable. They truly went above and beyond to make sure the project was completed on time and to everyone's satisfaction.

One of the standout qualities of Legacy South was their attention to detail, on time payments and great communication which was top-notch, keeping our company informed throughout every step of the process and being appreciative of our quality work.

Overall, I highly recommend them lto anyone looking for builder, both cendors and end customers will be provided with exceptional service and quality work. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again in the future.

As first-time home buyers, Legacy South made the whole process so easy. From the moment my husband and I walked into the model home, Vicky at the Soren community was warm and welcoming. As we moved through the home buying process, Vicky was extremely helpful and explained everything thoroughly to us. As we got to the building and closing process, we worked closely with the builder for Soren, Kevin. Any issues that came up during the inspection was immediately fixed and taken care of. Now that we have been living in our new home for several months, we still see Vicky and Kevin throughout the community. My husband and I are always met with a smile and a wave from the both of them, always checking in on us. Vicky and Kevin treat you like family and continue to do so even after closing. We heard from many people that buying a home is a stressful and a complicated process. Vicky and Kevin made buying a home extremely easy and stress free. They truly took the time to take care of us. The homes that Legacy South builds are also wonderfully designed from the floor plans to the interior finishes.
