HVAC reviews in Nashville, Tennessee

True Murfreesboro Family Business.
Rory & Tony are great as well as their office staff.
They installed my HVAC and have maintained it well over the last 12 years - always giving me economical options and fair pricing. -
Awesome fast service on a Sunday, our A/C went out in 92 degree heat. Tony arrived and had us back going in minutes. All for a very reasonable price. With a 4 year old this meant a lot!!!

Tony installed my AC unit an air handler on December 11th 2020. He did not have the thermostat that was supposed to come with the unit on him and assured me he would be here the following day to install it. After reaching out to him several times, often with no response at all, his normal response was I will be there tomorrow. I finally told him in late January, after a few more attempts to get him to finish the job, that I would have somebody else install it and I would Sue him for it. Suddenly he had time for me and showed up the next day.
Move to the 1st time I turn the unit on in the Spring, for air conditioner:
The unit ran for about 15 minutes and was froze up. It appeared to be low on coolant. Let me point out that Tony let a lot of coolant out during the installation, I thought too much. Because of the way it was freezing up I called him and told him we may have had a faulty expansion valve, Because I took my time to see where it started to freeze up at, and it was immediately after the expansion valve. I included a picture of it freezing up. Weeks went by and nothing from Tony other than the ussual I will be there tomorrow when I contacted him. On Wednesday may 19th I told Tony Not to bother coming out. I had scheduled the lead company to come fix the unit tomorrow, that I would send Tony the bill, await 90 days for payment, and if I did not get it I would Sue him. My phone began to ring like crazy, I sent to the calls to voicemail until finally being annoyed answering and told Tony "Oh I am suddenly a priority to you? "it is too late.". On Thursday may 19th, the league company came to the rescue. Turns out it was not a faulty valve but Tony had just let too much coolant out and there was not enough for the system to run properly. Luckily it only cost me $220 to get the unit properly running. I doubt that Tony is going to take the responsibility for this and pay me back. After all that I have been through I will be sending him this bill, I do not expect him to take responsibility for his mistake as he has shown that he is not reliable nor responsible. -
Had a brand new hvac system installed by Fields Heating and Air in 2020. Since having it installed I have had nothing but issues and malfunctions. System has clogged and over flowed into my ceiling twice even after paying for two float switches. Thermostat was initially installed incorrectly. Last night woke up to the whole house smelling like burning plastic. Immediately turned the system off and checked it out and once again the drain line was clogged and the float switch didn't shut the system off because it was installed incorrectly. Reached out to Tony to have this issue corrected again and to check everything else out and was informed he was too busy. Ended up reaching out to Amor Air to have them come check the unit out and they found it was installed incorrectly, the air speed was never adjusted and left on the manufacter setting and a secondary float switch or drain valve was never installed. The float switch that was installed failed causing water to back up into the system. Because the unit was installed incorrectly water baked up into the motor. This caused the motor to completely burn up melting all the wiring and nearly causing a house fire. Would not recommend using this company if you want a working hvac unit.

We had a positive experience with Nashville Heating & Air Conditioning. Fast response time, polite technician, and great results. They fixed our cooling system in one visit. It’s working better than ever. Five stars!

We had a bathtub spout and shower head replaced. I had a great experience. I was given some options and we chose the best cost friendly solution. The tech Bob was professional. Showed up on time. I had a great experience and would call on Hiller Plumbing again.

I had a potential disaster about to happen with a water valve on the top floor of my townhome. I called Hiller and shared how desperate I was to get a plumber before the valve broke. The front desk past me over to the folks who have emergency response. James showed up within 1 hour and he fixed the problem. Awesome response!
Thank you Hiller! -
We had Hiller pre inspect our HVAC in Franklin TN before we proceeded with the purchase the property. Very thorough. A+

Update: Our home was re-plumbed by Hiller the end of October 2022. As of mid-January 2023, management has been in contact with us and they have inspected work that was performed by their employees (1/12/23); they have rectified all known plumbing issues (1/20/23). Unfortunately, the excessive drywall damage and damage to washing machine is our expense. I modified review from 1-star to 3-star.

Not true! We have used Hiller in the past and have been pleased with their service. Hiller had done their annual plumbing inspection and never once stated their concern with the NIBCO, Inc. piping until the last leak occurred. After research, we discovered that there was a class action settlement against the manufacturer (NIBCO, Inc.). We knew the plumbing had to be replaced. We contracted Hiller to re-plumb our home thus removing the NIBCO, Inc. PEX piping. Numerous requests have been made for senior management to contact us to no avail. Not all of the NIBCO tubing was replaced, unnecessary drywall removal/damage, excessive drywall cutting, drywall debris left on top of upper cabinets, damage to top of front load washing machine & the list goes on! Please note, I only attached photos from one room…the laundry room. Now multiply that damage to three bathrooms and a kitchen. -
Banoub expertly guided us through his work process, telling us what he was doing and what steps we needed to decide upon. His advice was absolutely thoughtful, and he guided us into making thoughtful decisions.
Banoub is truly an excellent and skilled ambassador for Hiller.
We hope to see him next time during our next scheduled inspection.
Many thanks, Banoub ♡♡♡ -
Dustin and Hiller was great as always. Highly recommend any of their services and maintenance packages. Feels great knowing my heat and Ac are running well to avoid any emergency service calls.

My air unit kept shutting off. The Hiller technicians came out the next day and found that my drain was backing up. They were able to quickly unclog the drain and replace the drain line with a newer one. Now everything is working fine!

Ebert B. from Rutherford County, TN
Ebert was wonderful, he took his time to answer and ask questions. He was also pretty funny. Thank you so much! Hopefully we will get you next time too! -
I had Hiller come to my residence for a second opinion for a clogged drain which was causing a leak in the ceiling downstairs. Hiller fixed the clog (for $487) but then had a project manager come over the same day. The project manager stated that the pipes in the ceiling were installed too low and I would need all of the pipes in the ceiling replaced which would cost $6,140 but could cost more “once they got in there and could see if the pipes in the garage also needed to be replaced”. I had another plumber come from a different company who looked at my pipes and said the placement was fine. The new plumber said the real issue behind the leaking ceiling was the HVAC not the installation of the pipes. I’m thankful I didn’t go forth with Hiller and pay $6,000+ to fix something that didn’t even need to be fixed in the first place.

We had a thermostat installation that was done incorrectly and our AC would only pump out heat in the summer. I had to fix the issue after the tech left after hours of calling to get the service fixed. Hiller credited us for most of our bill, so we called them for a simple plumbing fix the next week.
When the plumber came, he immediately diagnosed the problem (leaky toilet) and told us it would need to be a complete rebuild and over $1000 fix for our toilet. He would not budge on this option. He spent the next 30 minutes trying to sell us subscriptions to Hiller’s monthly subscription. We refused service and called a second plumber to get another opinion. The issue was literally a loose screw. The Hiller tech wanted to charge us $1k for a total toilet rebuild and get us on a subscription rather than tightening a screw.
Thank the Lord for honest plumbers and chatGPT to help us clean up the mess here. Stay away and hire local. -
James Jackson was knowledgeable, very professional & thorough. He was punctual & performed our Winter tuneup in a timely manner! I would recommend Hiller & James highly!!
-
Wasted a money on the possibly the most undertrained, unskilled, and unimaginative technician. I would have been better served by Google seach to fix my problem than the help their employe helped. Receptist overstated the scope of their technician ability solve heating problem.

Very pleased ! HVAC is an unusual one - manufactured only twice a year … David found one somewhere in AL had it shipped up and got it installed quickly. Work with them. They’re the best. - Beth
