Plumbing reviews in Arlington, Texas

BEWARE!! Plumber came out to install a kitchen faucet. He did a good job installing the new one but took the old faucet and never asked if we wanted to keep it. I actually planned on using it but when I called the office they just said, normally people don’t want to keep the old one and he kept it. I informed them it was only a couple of years old so yes, I wanted to keep it. They just said “oh, sorry”. I will not be using them again.

While the quality of the work was OK, I was surprised and insulted by a $5 "fuel charge." This was not disclosed upfront when I called for an estimate. No other vendor has every charged me a "fuel charge" $5 is minimal compared to my $225 invoice and feels petty, especially since we are both in Arlington and gas is under $2 per gallon.
It's a shame that I will not be able to use them again because I prefer to give my business to local folks. -
I called in the morning to schedule a plumber to come out and service a water heater. Person that answered the phone said she could have someone out tomorrow. I provided my information and address for the job. I later received a call in the afternoon saying I had not been put on the schedule and when would I like them to come out. I stated tomorrow as originally planned. I got put on hold and when the returned the turned down the job without explanation and just hung up. Completely unprofessional.

I've always been impressed by their availability, professionalism, and quality of work. Price is always right, too! I've had them install a gas line to our stove, a new faucet, and repair tub/shower leaks. They do a good job.

I called in about an object lodged in my toilet. I was told to buy a new toilet, leaving a bunch of gel mess in my toilet. No talk of payment which was fair because the problem was worse.
After some talks they worked with on me on the service bill since the problem was only exacerbated. All in all, their customer service department is great, being both prompt and friendly. While I probably won’t use their services, I would still recommend them to people who need work done on their plumbing. -
Paul did a great job installing a new sink for me. Very friendly and professional. He got the job done quickly, cleaned everything up, and explained everything about the new sink/faucet. Overall great experience with Tom’s Plumbing.

I am giving 3 instead of 5 for two reasons. I called about an issue, they showed up and did the work. I asked about a second problem, but the tech didn’t have what he needed to do that job. He said he was going to have them call me back with an estimate. 4 days later I called and was apologized to and said they would get back with me. That was a week ago, now. So about 2 weeks later and no one called me back to fix a bad pressure valve on my hot water heater. They also didn’t have a “clean out” cap for the clean out in front of the house. As often as they do that I figured they would stock. So I had to go get my own clean out cover and back fill my hole in the front yard myself. Paid them about $120 for 15 minutes of an incomplete job. I am giving three because they showed up when they said and cleaned it out so I could get My air working that was off due to not draining.
UPaDATE: When they realized they had a communication problem and hadn’t provided the best service, they made it right. I will use them again and recommend them. They had a hiccup and when they realized it, made it right. Showed that they had integrity. -
I don't normally leave reviews but TOM'S Plumbing is Remarkable, exceptionally HONEST and VERY KNOWLEDEGABLE. TRUST me on this one. I say through my 30 plus years in the area dealing with plumbing issues I have not seen as much HONEST GUYS in this industry than this guys. (I say that again)
To begin with I thought I had a water heater problem. So I called around how much the replacement would be. Two big plumbing companies in the DFW area quoted me from $4200 to $4500. Forty five minutes after I called Tom's Plumbing and Heating, Tony the grandson of Tom's came out to look what I have. Really nice guy. He initially said it may not be my 6 year old water heater. He went on to check things more. He then calls Alex to take a look further. The other plumbing company also came by during this time and left without really looking much and said $4200 to replace a 50 gallon heater. HUH?? Really!!??
I left Alex and Tony diagnose the problem more, after about an hour or so Alex found the problem. It was not the water heater after all, it was the shut off valve and nothing wrong with the old water heater, I WAS LIKE! WOW! This guys are for real!!!! and they just SAVED me tons of money. And mind you, I was ready to hire the second guy he said he can do it today for $4200.
LESSON: Do not believe everything a plumber will tell you until you call TOM"S PLUMBING. They made me a believer that there are still honest people (plumber that is) and NOT JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY. I will use them again and even for my business needs. It feels really good to be treated the way Tony and Alex treated me today. PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT!! You will not be sorry and will save you from unnecessary water heater expense. SIX STARS FOR ME! Thank you so much guys! -
Very positive experience. Another local plumber quoted twice the price and was not friendly to work with. Tony showed care from my first call. Two guys from Tom's came the next day and did the repair quick and as quoted - half the price of Ernie's. Highly recommended.

Nick was AMAZING. Had an ongoing issue with my tankless water heater. Wasn't getting hot water to my shower. Like Houdini, he worked his magic and now I've got super hot water that heats up really quickly. On time AND super affordable. (By the way, you're supposed to de-scale your tankless water heater every year. Who knew!?)

I am really happy with Tom's Plumbing. I had a slab leak, and could not tell where it was located...there were no warm or wet spots anywhere, though the leak was at the rate of 1 gallon per minute. I first called a 5 star Google-rated company, and got a bid to fix the leak, with a separate charge to use special equipment to locate the leak. Then I called Tom's, who said they have a fixed rate for slab leaks, + parts. Tom's base rate was significantly lower than the other company, and they included finding the leak in the flat rate. The guys who came out knew their stuff. They were efficient, courteous, and did a good job. (I waited a couple of weeks to write this, to be sure the repair held.) The bill for parts was actually less than the estimate. So in short, the work was good, the price was good, and the experience was good. Thank you, Tom's!

Samuel was very nice and prompt. After the company through my home warranty gave me the run around one phone call to Tom's Plumbing and 30 minutes later problem solved. Price was very affordable as well

Life saver. We had a full house of people and were expecting more very soon. The sewer line was clogged. Called immediately upon Tom’s open time. Told the receptionist my plight and she made my call a priority. Samuel and Nick came out and resolved the issue ASAP. Samuel was very professional and the cost of the service was very reasonable. Thank you very much for your service.

Answered the phone every time I called. Fair and honest pricing for my slab leak compared to other companies. They were also able to get the job done in one day without having to tear up the foundation. Overall very happy with them and would recommend.

Recently had an outstanding experience with Tom's Plumbing. Alex, visited our home to fix a water leak behind a wall. Impressively, he managed the repair so seamlessly that it's hard to tell any work was done at all. I'm particularly grateful for his thoughtful approach in handling the issue with minimal damage. Highly recommend their services for their efficiency and expertise.

Holly and Tony who run this business are great people. They understand small business and why it's important to take care of not just their customers, but also the people who work for the business. Their plumbers are very qualified and informative and you won't go wrong having them handle your plumbing issues.

Tom's Plumbing took Great care of me. They were scheduled come do some work for me the day the freeze came in. They rescheduled and came that Friday and took care of the work in a short amount of time. They gave me a window for arrival then called when they were about 30 minutes from my house. They came In and got the work done in a short time. They were professional and left my house clean and neat when they finished.

On May 21st I had an overflow pan that had water in it. The drain was running pretty good.
I called Tom's Plumbing & they sent a tech out very promptly.
He inspected, found a leak in one of the fittings.
With 30-45 minutes, start to finish, he made the repair.
The repair looks great & the price for the work was extremely reasonable.
I am beyond satisfied with the entire experience with Tom's Plumbing.
I am happy to know I have a quality plumbing company to rely on going forward.
I did have another company come out for another opinion. They suggested replacing everything without really even inspecting.
Always get more then one estimate.
I will highly recommend Tom's Plumbing going forward,

Helped me get my faucet and checked my tankless water heater as well. Great service and quick.

Thanks for great service to replace my garbage disposal and two bathroom faucets yesterday. I had another plumbing company from Ft. Worth come by and they gave me an estimate of $1298 which I thought was outrageous. Can I say your repair was more than $1000 less. I hope so. Cannot believe I failed to contact you first as you have serviced my home in the past.
