Plumbing reviews in Cedar Park, Texas

Bob and his team were really helpful getting my new water heater installed after the freeze. He was easy to communicate with, offered a fair price, and was personable. It's reassuring to know that Mr. Tankless was one of the first tankless water heater installers in the area.
-
I called Mr. Tankless first of all because he only installs tankless water heaters for a living and he also supervises each installation. I wanted a working owner to oversee the project because it is my experience you always get a better job with less problems and hassles when the owner is at hand. Why I telling you that? Because I have spent my entire life in the construction industry, that's why. And in that industry you always get what you pay for, no joke. I just purchased a home and I was appalled when I saw the 2 fairly new water tanks in the attic space and I called Bob. He came over and gave me the quote of a tankless water installation, we agreed on the price and 2 days later he and his 2 man crew showed up at the appointed time, removed the water heaters and installed the new tankless without an hitch. Bob is very knowledgeable, trustful, honest and efficient. I am very happy with the installation. Thanks Bob and your crew, much appreciated.

My mom used Mr Tankless for her water heater installation and raved about the quality of service she received. Well... Mom was right!! Bob was excellent from first contact. Quick turnaround, easy to work with, and great prices! He explained every step in a way that was easy to understand. I finally have unlimited hot water and also don't have to wait two minutes for my water to heat up at every faucet! Would highly recommend Mr Tankless for a water heater installation!!

Bob was very responsive and came out to service what we thought was our water heater. He quickly diagnosed what Turned out to be an electrical issue. He is extremely knowledgeable about the industry and would highly recommend Mr tankless.

This company is a blessing. They were great and fast with fixing my plumbing issues. I definitely would recommend Robert and his team.

I hired Mr. Tankless to install a new Rinnai RUR199 and glad I did. I called around and spoke to a few plumbers who ranged in price from $3,500 to $4,000 ballpark. The more I learned about the Rinnai product it seemed to make sense for us to go with someone they approved which is how I came across Bob at Mr. Tankless and at this point, I’m thankful I did. While his price was slightly higher than others quoted, I knew I had someone backed by one of the most reputable units in the business. Bob and his team were a first-class act. They came out on a Tuesday to review my situation and scheduled me the very next day for an install. They showed up when they said they would and were done about 4 hours later. Also, he and his team wore facemasks which shows me they are very considerate of their customers. Bob exudes Christlike behavior. You will see what I’m talking about when you meet him. Super nice, caring, patient with all my questions and of course really knows his stuff.
As you can see with this post, I took several pictures of the installation just to illustrate the top-notch job he and his team does. They did not have to, but they removed some old plumbing pipes and did a very clean install. A previous plumber we had come out did not even notice that our venting hood on old tank was off which meant we were emitting carbon monoxide in the attic; it took Bob about 10 seconds to see that. If you are going tankless, I recommend having him come to your home and assess what is the best fit for you. -
Our friends across the street moved forward with Mr. Tankless about a year ago. They were so happy, we decided to look into a tankless heater ourselves.
Bob was great to work with as we considered going from an old electric tank hot water heater to a tankless gas hot water heater! He visited, gave us a reasonable estimate, and delivered at the quoted price and time.
Our pier & beam home was built in the 1950's and it was very important to recover an interior closet that housed the 40-gal electric tank hot water heater. The professional staff drained and removed the old heater, cut/reattached plumbing in the closet, and installed the tankless gas water heater (ran and connected a new gas line). We gained an interior closet - storage space is so important in these older/smaller homes!
We had old galvanized pipes in some areas that we're going to follow up with Bob to make sure we get the most our of our new tankless heater. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend Mr. Tankless. -
We noticed that our shower wasn't heating up as fast as it previously did. I called around and noticed all of the positive reviews for Mr Tankless. Bob was super responsive and was able to take a look at our tankless water heater the next day. They quickly found the issue, had the part (check valve) in the truck and was able to get us fixed up in no time. I have since used Mr Tankless for flushing our tankless unit and anything else that has come up. Recently Bob was able to walk me through a few tankless water heater troubleshooting steps that saved us a lot of time and money. I highly recommend Mr Tankless!

Mr. Tankless was fantastic to work with! They were extremely knowledgeable about my Navien exterior water heater and were able to schedule a service quickly.
The technician diagnosed the issue and had it up and running again in no time. Their professionalism and expertise really stood out. I’d gladly work with them again and highly recommend their services! -
We had a tankless system in our previous home in Florida and loved it, so when we moved to Cedar Park we knew we eventually wanted to go tankless again. Although our conventional tanks were still working, it really bothered me how much water we had to waste before it was hot enough. So, “eventually” became “now.” I called Mr. Tankless on Tuesday. The owner, Mr. Bob Lemons, came over immediately to see what we needed, and had recommendations for modifications that would ensure the hot water would get quickly to the fixtures furthest from the heater. Bob gave me a great quote, and said they’d install on Thursday (today), and how long it would take.
Bob and Brandon did everything professionally, personably, and quickly. They briefed me on what to do for adjustments, maintenance, and winter power failures, and promised to respond right away if there are ANY problems. They were also done way before they estimated.
I am most satisfied and highly recommend Mr. Tankless. -
After researching and weighing out the pros / cons of converting from tank to tankless water heater - we made the decision to go tankless. There's a lot of information out there and companies that promote installing tankless water heaters so, being diligent, I spoke with and got cost estimates from quite a few companies. A work colleague recommended I speak with Mr. Tankless before making the final decision on installer. I'm sure glad they did. I reached out to Mr. Tankless (Bob) to set up an appointment for an estimate. Bob got back to me right away and was at my house a couple days later. It was immediately evident that he and Brandon knew exactly what they were doing. They answered all my questions, explained the process and provided a cost estimate. I actually asked if he was sure his estimate was correct - not because it was too high - because it was way cheaper than what some of the other "salty" companies had estimated. I asked again if he was sure he didn't miss anything. He assured me the cost was correct, we shook hands and they were at my house two days later to do the install. The whole process was seamless, efficient and very professionally done. Refreshing to do business with someone that knows what a handshake means.
As everyone knows, cost is not the only variable. Do they stand behind their work? Are they available or will they be around if something happens? Short answer to all those questions is YES. We had a drop in water pressure after the install and called Bob. Him and Brandon showed up that same day. Turns out it had nothing to do with our new tankless - it was just scale in our old plumbing that was clogging up the filters (exactly what filters are supposed to do) and a drop in our PRV at the meter. Bob and Brandon got everything taken care of, explained that can happen right after a new install in an old house and walked me through everything to do moving forward. Let me bottom line it for you: Tankless is what Bob and Brandon do and they do it better than anyone else. So if you're in the market or thinking about installing a tankless water heater - do yourself a favor and call Mr. Tankless. You should absolutely get multiple bids but ultimately it's a no brainer when all things are compared. Bob and Brandon will do it right, do it cheaper and stand behind it. What else can you ask for? -
After my conventional water heater started leaking after 8 years, it was time for a new water heater. I got quotes from other companies, but ended up going with Mr. Tankless because he was easy to communicate with and provided the lowest quote. I also trust his experience doing this for so long with central Texas water.
The installation saved some drilling to the outside by utilizing an existing drain pipe.
I'm happy with my upgrade! -
We had a problem with our Rinnai tankless water heater that two other plumbers couldn’t fix. Bob from Mr. Tankless was able to diagnose the issue right away and get it working again.
He has over 20 years of experience with tankless systems, and it showed in how quickly and confidently he handled the repair. He was professional, clear in his explanations, and didn’t push unnecessary work.
If you need help with a tankless water heater, Bob is someone who really knows what he’s doing. -
We are building our forever home and had to decide what type of water heater to go with. After looking at the cost, energy usage, performance, size and weight of having two 40gal tanks versus 1 tankless system, we were sold. We not only freed up a TON of extra space in the attic, we also reduced the weight load on our joists (almost 2,000lbs!!), and we really look forward to not wasting as much water waiting for the water to heat up. Saving water and money is an easy decision to make. Bob at Mr. Tankless did a fantastic job on our new system. We couldn't be happier. He really went out of his way to install this for us, it was done perfectly with not a single mark against the installation on our city inspection. I highly recommend Bob, you can't go wrong!

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Mr. Tankless. From the first call through installation, their professionalism, clear communication, and efficiency were unmatched.
They walked me through the process in detail, answered all of my questions, and kept me informed every step of the way. The installation itself was quick, organized, and thorough — they clearly know their craft.
What really stood out, in addition to their excellent service, was the affordability of their bid compared to others I received. The pricing was very fair, especially considering the high-quality work and attention to detail.
It’s rare to find a company that delivers on speed, professionalism, great communication, and cost, but Mr. Tankless did exactly that. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a tankless water heater upgrade. -
After having a different plumbing company perform a whole house inspection of my plumbing systems, and flushing my water heaters (which left the older one leaking onto my garage floor), I received a jaw droppingly astronomical quote to replace the water heaters from that company. Given their inspection left me in an immediate need to replace my water heaters, I was determined to find someone to do the job who would provide a more reasonable estimate and would answer my questions about different manufacturers and models of water heaters.
After sending 14 different plumbing companies pictures and details of my old water heaters and describing the tankless models I was considering to replace them, I received responses from 5 and had 3 of them out to my house to provide an onsite estimate. Mr. Tankless was the most thorough in answering my questions and in scheduling a time for the installation.
On the agreed upon date, Mr. Lemons and his colleague arrived early in the morning as they had agreed, removed my two older tanks, ran a new drain line to the exterior of my garage, and installed the new tankless water heater before noon. We have water again without the leaks in the garage!
UPDATE 26 September 2024: After four service visits, over 11 weeks time, to troubleshoot Error Code 63 (Recirculation Low Flow), Mr. Tankless was unable to get my water heater working properly with help from Rinnai technical support.
After reaching out to Rinnai directly, I was able to get a response from Jim Brinkley, Rinnai's Area Service Manager, who made it his mission to get my water heater working properly. Jim contacted Clarke Kent Plumbing and a plumber was sent out to my home.
Within 10 minutes of looking over my water heater the issue was solved - a cold water inlet filter full of sediment was causing the low flow error. Once that filter was cleaned out, and an expansion tank was installed (Rinnai covered the cost) Error 63 went away and my water heater is now working properly. Our taps now have hot water in seconds instead of 5+ minutes and my family is happy again!
Dropping my original 5 star review to 3 stars to account for the 11 weeks my water heater did not work properly after installation. -
Amazing service and best prices by far! More than half less than one of the “big named” companies here in Austin and a third less than one of the big box hardware stores. Mr. Tankless even offers a cash/check discount. Navien NPE-240A2-NG and whole house carbon water filter installed and old unit taken away in just a few hours. Professional and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone needing water heater/tankless service!

The team at Mr. Tankless did an outstanding professional job! We had 2 Rinnai tankless water heaters with issues that were having error codes and previous plumbers were unable to resolve issues and get waters heaters working. Robert & Brandon had the knowledge and education to properly repair our tankless water heaters very efficiently and swiftly. An honest and friendly crew! Highly recommend for any tankless water heater needs.

With a larger family than we used to have, our traditional water heater wasn’t keeping up.
After researching tankless options, I interviewed several companies for quotes and suggestions. Bob at Mr Tankless was far and away the most fairly priced, very responsive, and, most importantly, a genuinely nice guy.
They arrived exactly when they said they would, they got right to work, and were very transparent along the way about what they were working on and doing. They even installed the new tankless heater in a slightly shifted location from the old heater so as to make our attic easier to walk through. Everyone else wanted to charge extra but Brandon did a knockout job installing it exactly where I asked.
Do yourself a favor and call Bob @ Mr Tankless and fire those big box plumbers. -
It's always nerve-wracking looking for an honest plumber. I am very glad I saw so many positive reviews for Mr.Tankless. I had been told I needed to replace my entire unit by Radiant without them even opening it. Mr Tankless opened the unit and identified an easy fix. He's got a loyal customer here

I had Mr Tankless replace two 40 gallon water heaters with one tankless water heater. He was very responsive by text and took time to explain the whole process and how it works. He was able to get me in the day after he came out to give me a quote. The installation was quick and painless and everything has worked perfectly since. Pricing was slightly better than a couple other quotes I was given and right in the ballpark of what I was expecting. No complaints!
