We highly recommend Hand Plumbing Service, Inc. for anyone who needs top notch quality service at a competitive price. The company recently completed a below grade foundation reroute for our bathrooms. Mr. Hand gave us excellent service from the initial, thorough inspection and comprehensive bid to the scheduling and supervising of all crews until the job was done to his satisfaction. He and all of his workers were consistently prompt, professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient in carrying out their jobs. They were meticulous in their work and the clean-up. Mr. Hand was upfront and honest in explaining the problems we had and the solutions to fix the problems, and he was very responsive to our questions and concerns. He followed up with pictures of all the work as it was addressed. We’ll be using their services for any plumbing needs we have in the future.

I want to thank Hand Plumbing for going above and beyond in taking care of a reroute job and removing old cast iron pipes, replacing a gas line and more we needed done. It was quite an extensive job and glad we chose Hand Plumbing. I liked him right out of the gate because when I met him for the estimate he explained the process on what needed to be done, why it needed to be done, what he's seen happen before....and answered all my questions. Not only that, he had a great price compared to the other 4 others I got. His crew showed up on time did a great tunneling and trench job, sent pics of the progress, communicated updates often, did an outstanding job, and cleaned up after. He is officially my go to plumbing guy and highly recommend him.

Hand Plumbing did outstanding work on my late father’s 1964 home, which needed a full replacement of the old cast‑iron plumbing. Mr. Hand met with our family, explained everything clearly, and gave an honest estimate with no surprises. His knowledge, integrity, and pride in his work were obvious from the start.
He took great care in planning the reroute so the foundation wouldn’t be damaged, and his crew was respectful, skilled, and very conscientious with the property. The job passed inspection easily, and the workmanship was excellent.
What meant the most was the way he treated us during a difficult time — with respect, patience, and genuine integrity. I highly recommend Hand Plumbing for anyone who wants honest, dependable, and professional work
Thank you so much -
Had a leak in pipe to water heater. Plumber said he had to go get parts to fix it. Like seriously your a plumber and you dont have a piece of pvc in your truck or couplings? Oh i know why!! Because you charge by the hour and you could have fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Instead they charged $250 for the small job. Then to top it off the next day the new pvc pipe he installed burst with a mess everywhere. At first i thought ok good company for coming back to fix it. But hell no. They are trying to get more money for coming back out to fix their mistake. I do not recommend this company at all. They did a sloppy job.

They did work on my neighbors house this past Saturday and completely disrespected my car. I washed my car Friday and did not leave my house Saturday, they were the only people in proximity to it, and saw them working and moving alongside my neighbors yard right next to my driveway. They sprayed/threw guck all over the passenger side of my car and passenger side windshield and just left with no care even leaving trash in my neighbors yard. Poor excuse for people, professionalism, and a business. Even though it is a nice sports car I’m not frustrated so much at the paint damage and inconvenience, it’s the blatant lack of care of client and surrounding homes property, the disrespect, and lack of accountability.

I am only giving them one star because I couldn't give them a 0! We had a terrible experience with them. We scheduled a hydrostatic test for a purchase of a home. They were scheduled to be there at 8:15 AM and didn't show up until 8:30. After about 20 minutes he found the clean outs that he needed and then walked around for about 10 or 15 minutes before my husband and my realtor went out and asked him what he was looking for. He then proceeded to tell them that he could not do the test because of where the clean outs were located. He left at 9:15 and charged us for 1 1/2 hrs of WORK!!! He did not do the work he was scheduled to do!!! We paid him but called his manager to dispute the charge. They informed us that there was a charge for travel time ( which we were not aware of), however, it only takes about 10 or 15 minutes to get to our home, not 45 minutes!!! They told us that they would refund the half hour if we would have someone ELSE come BACK out and perform the test! Bad business!!! The BBB will be getting a letter.

Susan was professional and knowledgeable and Curtis did a very professional job and explained everything well.

I called Lamar Plumbing for a issue with my drainage and specifically made the appointment for camera use and it was 150 a hour, well they did absolutely nothing being that their camera is 2 inches and my pipes are 1.5 inches and I still was charged $262.00. They were only at my house 1 hour and I was charged for 1.75 hours, I didn't realize their time starts when they leave the shop go pick up tacos and etc....the time should start when they get to my house. NEVER AGAIN.

Once again the professionals at Lamar Plumbing have done an outstanding job. Professional, courteous and always on time. Shows up when they say they will. These our my go to people!

In regards to quality of work, I would say they are good. Average. They did a hydrostatic test on a home we are purchasing. However, they did not inform me that they start charging the moment they leave their office for travel time if you “live a ways away” (we live in calallen - that’s 15 minutes according to GPS....that’s still in town) and they charged for 2 hours of work at $95 per hour for one guy, and $50 For a half hour for another guy) They called me at 8:08 saying they were leaving now. They arrived between 8:25 and 8:30. They were in the home working for 55 minutes (8:30-9:25...I arrived back to my current home at 9:41 as that’s when my realtor text me so I had a time stamp), yet I was still charged for 2 hours of work. At Max it should be 1 hour of work and 15-20 minutes of travel time. The travel time should not be an additional hour, nor have a rate based off of the labor rate. Especially when they do not inform you of it. And then when questioned say “well that’s the usual if you live a ways out”. No it’s not the usual. Other companies I got quotes from did not have travel charge because we still live in corpus. And if they did, they’d be forthcoming about it and not tell you after the fact. Go with McCain plumbing. It’s a flat $95 for a hydrostatic test and $35 if they need to find your cleanout. The only reason we couldn’t go with McCain was because the earliest they could get out was the date we needed to come to an agreement on the contract, and wouldn’t leave time for any further negotiations.

Had issues with kitchen sink and main line draining. Called Lamar and within the 2 hours they were at the house and problem resolved. The 2 individuals performing work were very courteous, and made sure area was clean after job was complete. They also helped me another small issue. They do offer Senior discount.

BAIT AND SWITCH con's we had two toilets replaced and work was done great! Nothing bad about the workmanship. After I paid the the invoice that stated everything done including the replacement of both toilets the office called me back to say they forgot to charge me for two toilets and I told her the invoice says I paid for two and I suggested they go to small claims court so I can show the judge my copy of the invoice. I would love to see the look on Judge Judy's face when I show her what they were trying to do. I"m not sure what kind of scam they are trying to do. SMH

When our GE Geospring water heater went out, Lamar Plumbing was willing to work on it for us. We had already found out that most plumbers in Corpus Christi did not work on them. Even GE no longer supports it and has a third party for warranty parts only. We were able to get the parts from Bradford White, and Lamar Plumbing put them in for us. We were fixed up and ready to go in an hour. Very pleased to have hot water again.

Tanner and Jacob were amazing! I spoke to Juan after hrs. He was also very professional and reassuring. I received a call shortly after 8 am by 10:30 my horrifying problem was solved. I can’t say enough about Tanner & Jacob. Professional, friendly, efficient and effective! Price was not bad for such an awful and scary experience. Backed up toilet and shower is no joke!! Appreciate you guys!!

Excellent Company !!! Starting with Susan who answered my call, to the plumbers who took care of the issues. All were so very helpful, efficient and courteous. I highly recommend Lamar Plumbing for any plumbing issues. Great company !!
Thankful for their help! -
Susan called to setup my appointment and the following day confirmed the time. She was professional and efficient. Trevor the plumber called to let me know he was on his way. He took the time to explain to me what he was doing and why. They were fast, professional and efficient. And that being said it was also the week AFTER the deep freeze when everyone in TEXAS had plumbing problems. Thank you to the team at Lamar Plumbing.

We used Lamar plumbing before with our plumbing needs we loved the service until this time. We were charged $230.the first time then asked them to come out again “within the 24 hr.time frame”thinking it would be covered since we still had a leak. Charged another $130!!! Called again just for them to tell us it’s not covered with any kind of warranty!!!! This was just ridiculous they said it was on our part that we need to get someone out here to do more extensive work that they don’t do! Wish they would have quoted us first instead of forking out the money!!!

I had a hydro inspection done on my home this week. I came home to around 1/2 inch of water around my toilet, and it flowed right into my bathroom. The tank was put into position incorrectly and the bolts were barely hanging on.
The other toilet was completely taken off, which may be customary in this type of inspection, I’m not sure, but it wasn’t reinstalled properly and water was not turned back on to it.
Half done work is no work done at all.
My husband spent around an hour fixing their mistakes.
Would not recommend. -
Everytime we have a plumbing issue we have used lamar plumbing. But this last time we used them i am so disappointed in the company. The plumbers were fine they did a good job. But the office was rude and we were charged $209 just for a 10 minute small pipe repair with a simple $23 part. It literally took the guy less than 10 minutes to repair. when we called to see why we were charged $175 dollars for labor the lady in the office said because the first guy that came out had to take a picture. (It was because he didn't know what to do and wanted to ask somebody.) Then when the second guy came out the lady in the office said it took him an hour which is a blatant lie. I called them at 3:06pm to see where the guy was and he got there about 3:15pm and was done by 3:25pm gave me the bill by 3:30pm and i left my house at 3:33pm. so tell me how it took him an hour? Its cost us less to have other pipes repaired with them. and when we asked for some kind of refund she was rude and lied. I like that company but we will be looking elsewhere now.

We considered Lamar as a long term partner to manage properties. But they came over to fix an issue, told us they couldn't or wouldn't fix it, and then proceeded to charge us $189 for absolutely nothing. Then when the property manager called to question the bill, this is her quote. "And the person I spoke to said, it’s not their fault that house has “crappy appliances” and the faucet wasn’t Moen. I was extremely offended." Our appliances are good appliances. If they had just charged a nominal visit fee, that would have been understandable, because gas is expensive. But $189 for nothing is outrageous. Be warned.
