Alex and DJ did an excellent job with our AC/Furnace installation.
Tony M answered all of my questions, he is very helpful and knowledgeable and easy to work with.

They did a great job overall. They replaced our furnace and rebuilt the box where all the returns come in. They hauled away all of the old equipment and were courteous and thorough.

Purpose of initial call: Ac not cooling

Positive: Knowledge, 5 star

Negative: Scheduling, responsiveness to customer’s concerns, estimate process, 2 star

Current status: AC not cooling

I called Southern Comfort Mechanical because they have a long history in this community of honesty, integrity, great customer service, and knowledgeable employees.

From the beginning, this service call felt different. No one answered my calls over the weekend even though the company advertises 24/7 service. When I schedule my diagnostic appointment on Monday it was a 4 hour window instead of a more specific time(inconvenient but understandable as there’s high demand for HVAC techs).

As always, my technician was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue with my unit. I can’t praise Vo enough. He knows his way around an HVAC system. Definite 5 star rating for him and the diagnostic work he performed.

Unfortunately, repairs could not be started. I was informed the company is disputing the warranty on my system due to new ownership. I hope to resolve the issue soon.

I have not received a written estimate for any of the necessary repairs and look forward to updating my review once one is provided.

Ivan was VERY professional and knowledgeable!! Matthan and his tech were also VERY professional and knowledgeable on the day our unit had to be installed. They left the area very clean. I would highly recommend Southern Comfort!
Then we had the free plumbing check done and knew we had some type of leak in the master shower. Brian was very knowledgeable and professional, and got our problem fixed in a timely fashion!
Then Marilyn had to come out and change out a breaker and close the door to the unit in the attic. She was very prompt and professional!

Marilyn was GREAT! She was fun to work with, was very thorough and knowledgeable. We feel confident in doing business with Southern Comfort when you have great people like Marilyn! Thank you for taking good care of our home.

Ivan is WONDERFUL! He’s has been out to our house several times. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and professional. So happy we found Southern comfort for our HVAC needs. I highly recommend.

I’ve been using Southern Comfort Mechanical since they opened. I had an emergency situation with my HVAC and customer service was able to get Josh to my home within 30 minutes. Josh and his apprentice resolved my issue in less than an hour. Thanks Southern Comfort!!

I had Tony come by to give me a quote on a new Trane system to replace my 19seer 3 ton 2-stage system. He was one of the few people to even measure the rooms and return duct. He sent me a proposal for a 3.5 ton single stage. I had a bunch of questions and went back and forth trying to understand if a larger system would be able to properly dehumidify my house, etc. He called and stated that his general manager declined to do any work at my house because "it was too complicated". Southern Comfort bought Allied American Air which installed my downstairs unit and I had issues with the install and the owner. Not sure if Southern Comfort's general manager was a former employee of Allied American Air. Southern Comfort loses 3 stars for not being able to explain why the install at my house is too complicated. The front of my house when you walk in opens to the second floor. I guess a house like that needs a more experienced HVAC company.

I can't review the crew, quality of install or service after the sale, but Tony seemed knowledgeable and was great to work with. Tony took his time to answer all of my questions at the home walkthrough. I didn't get anwers to my latter questions that I asked via email.

Southern Comfort Mechanical has been a good company. My tech Ivan S. is great. Now I request him because he is so knowledgeable, personable, and he always takes time to make sure I understand what is being done and answering any questions I may have. We really appreciate his expertise and customer service!

We have been with Allied American - now Southern Comfort Mechanical for years! They have serviced our AC's and maintained them regularly. We are always happy with the team, their service and upfront pricing on repairs and maintenance. They are honest and very clear and work with us if we want to stick to a budget. Wes Mays has helped us out on multiple AC and Appliance problems. Their technician Marilyn Garcia also did an excellent job in doing our Spring service. if you need a new HVAC service team definitely give them a call!

Update: we had some major repair work that needs done and Southern Comfort did a fantastic job! Alex Hernandez and his team took care of the repairs and our AC is running again! Wes Mays and his team are the best and we are glad they take care of our AC units!

I had a rodent chew some wires on ac unit. Jacob did a fantastic job diagnosing and fixing the problem. Great company that gives reliable service at fair prices. Solid company you can trust.

Nick was on time and friendly. He did routine maintenance and gave me a heads up about the age of my equipment which I appreciate. I have used this company for 30 years and have always felt that they truly wanted to serve me well.

Vo did a great job servicing my air conditioning unit. He was very helpful in explaining what I needed to do to have my phone app and the thermostat be in sync. He explained what I needed to do to keep my system running smoothly. He is very friendly and was great.

Joshua was awesome! He was very detail oriented and explained everything he needed to do to repair our A/C. He even showed us the new part he would install and showed us what failed on the old part. Wonderful service!!

Jacob Gividen was my technician. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I had an issue with my system which he diagnosed and fixed promptly. We have used Southern Mechanical for several years now and highly recommend them.

Great service. Technician was polite, explained everything clearly, and didn’t waste time. Pricing was straight forward too.

Our AC died late at night. I thought we’d be stuck sweating it out, but they sent a tech who set us up with a temporary unit until the part came in. That little extra saved us big time with the kids trying to sleep.

Heater wasn’t kicking on right before that last cold front. Technician came out, adjusted a couple things, and had it running smooth. Felt way better knowing I wouldn’t wake up freezing. The peace of mind is worth it.

The technician cleaned the blower motor and showed me all the dust and gunk that came out… gross ha. You can really feel the difference now, airflow is way stronger.

Had them do a full tune-up and coil cleaning. The technician actually showed me pictures of the coil before/after — yikes, I couldn’t believe the junk in there The air is moving way better now.

Had both units checked before summer in Frisco. The technician was thorough, showed me things to watch for, and gave me tips to keep the system running longer. No pushy sales stuff, just straight answers. That’s why I’ll keep calling them !!!!
